Era da un po' che non mi commuovevo per una lettura...ed eccoci qua.
La storia tratta di Miki, un ragazzo che nella sua vita ha subito qualsiasi tipo di sfortuna e ormai è allo stremo...ma proprio in quel momento ecco che appare Shiro, una creatura che si nutre di emozioni, in particolare quelle negative.
Il loro rapporto inizia come un contratto, ma poi piano piano entrambi riescono a stare meglio non per il loro legame sovrannaturale, ma per la loro presenza nella vita dell'altro.
Tutto questo cosa comporterà? Quale sarà il loro destino?
Questo manga ti colpisce il cuore e te lo scalda.
Sono state 224 pagine intense dall'inizio alla fine e che in conclusione ti regalano lo stesso calore che può lasciare un abbraccio.
Lo consiglio vivamente a chi apprezza il genere, è un gioiellino da non perdere!

Does anyone have tissues? Because this story was so beautiful I could cry.

'The Vessel of a Transparent Love' follows Shiro, an Akashibito, and the misfortunate Miki Donoue. All Akashibitos sustain themselves by consuming the negative emotions of their hosts, since they are empty vessels. It is how they feed and stay alive. Because Miki has bad things happening to him all the time, he agrees to let Shiro feed on him. However, the two of them soon fall in love, and they encounter an issue: if Shiro makes Miki this happy, he can no longer sustain himself by consuming his negative emotions, meaning the happiness might lead to his death. Distraught, they try to make the best of the situation, only for things to take a turn when the love between them grants Shiro a human soul, saving his life.

I absolutely adored the plot of this. At first I was worried there wasn't going to be a happy ending because of the circumstances of Shiro's nature, but I was wrong and couldn't be happier that they were able to stay together. Their love was so sweet and tender and deep. The whole story breathes of what true love feels like, and I believe it's a metaphor for how finding "the one" can sometimes make us feel alive again and bring us happiness unlike anything we've ever felt before, fulfilling our purpose and granting us a better life. It also holds the beauty of self discovery and the meaning of life and the beautiful realisation that emotions and what we feel is what makes us human, and that we all have the capacity to love big and hard.

The art style was also so gorgeous. It's so soft and poetic and captures the tone and intimacy of the relationship perfectly, with cool shades and gentle shadows.

Shiro was such a sweet character. He never does anything Miki doesn't want, and makes sure to have his consent. All he wants is to make Miki happy and take good care of him. Rather than being malicious, he's kind, and caring and selfless, and he'd rather fade than have Miki go through negative experiences just so he can feed.

The same goes for Miki. He was so adorable and so sweet. He never deserved everything misfortunate happening to him, and his growth was amazing. He went from someone who was really down to taking control of his life. I feel like this was a good metaphor for how sometimes it's so easy to create your own problems by dwelling on things too much or letting the negative things control you, but once you take power and agency, you can rebuild and not let it define who you are.

A huge plus for me as well was the body positivity there at the end! I feel like we normalise criticising our partners bodies too much. It's not okay to bodyshame and if you love someone, you should think they're beautiful no matter how little or how much weight they gain or lose. Your partner should be your safe space to be fully YOU, and there should never be doubts or pressure to look a certain way. So seeing Miki tell Shiro that him gaining some weight would never change anything, let alone finding the little chub he'd gotten adorable, made me smile so bad.

Overall, this was just a delight to read and it's absolutely going on my favourite shelf. 5 stars!

Primo manga che leggo nel 2025 e primo manga che inserisco tra i libri letti su goodreads -- dire che mi è piaciuto è dire poco.
L'ho amato !!
Purtroppo queste cose sovrannaturali mi faranno sempre impazzire, ovviamente si tratta di una romance tra un essere umano e una specie di spirito che si nutre delle emozioni umane. Non avevo aspettative altissime dato che di storie come questa se ne trovano un milione e, anzi, inizialmente ho avuto paura sia ad acquistarlo che a leggerlo, proprio perché so come sono costruite certe storie bl e avevo paura di trovare dinamiche cliché e situazioni spiacevoli, anche un po' triggeranti (?).
Poi gentilmente mi è stato consigliato e poi successivamente regalato e mi pento di non averlo letto prima!
Non ci sono trigger di nessun tipo, a dire il vero quindi lo consiglio se amate il genere e avete voglia di leggere una one shot ~

Un día cualquiera, Miki, está teniendo un día fatal. Uno más en su monótona y desgraciada vida.
Todo cambia esa misma noche cuando aparece un ser que parece de otro mundo y pone su mundo a girar por primera vez.

Este manga tan cortito tiene tantas enseñanzas importantes y las desarrolla preciosamente en tan sólo 6 capítulos. Háblenme de talento.

El diseño del personaje de Shiro me recuerda a Chinatsu de Touch Within The Abyss, pero a diferencia de ese manga, esta historia no sólo me parece hermosamente dibujada, sino que tiene una historia original, bellamente construida y con un mensaje sumamente importante y hermoso.

Tierno, doméstico y con un toque sobrenatural. Pura perfección.

Miki est un jeune homme poissard et malheureux. Un jour, alors que la malchance lui joue encore un mauvais tour, il croise la route d’un akashibito, une créature surnaturelle qui se nourrit des émotions de son hôte. Miki accepte de passer un accord avec lui, le nomme Shiro, et le laisse se nourrir de ce qu’il ressent.

J’avais vu passer de bons avis sur ce one-shot, et on me l’a recommandé quand j’ai présenté mon bookhaul. Le côté surnaturel m’intriguait beaucoup, et j’étais impatiente de le découvrir.

Résultat : c’est un coup de cœur.

Le dessin est superbe (j’avais déjà été séduite par le trait de Hitomi dans Réaction Chimique), et l’histoire fonctionne à merveille. Même en un seul tome, les sentiments trouvent leur place avec justesse et douceur. La relation entre Miki et Shiro est touchante, sans jamais tomber dans le cliché. Le lien qui se tisse entre eux est sincère, presque apaisant.

Le surnaturel est bien pensé, simple à comprendre et bien intégré. Et surtout, les personnages sont extrêmement attachants. On s’y lie vite, et on ressort du manga avec une impression de tendresse un peu flottante.

Une très belle lecture, que je recommande les yeux fermés.

Deuxième coup de cœur pour le manga de cette auteure qui a vraiment un don pour raconter des histoires touchantes et développer des personnages parfois complexes et torturés.

J’ai apprécié la rencontre entre Miki le malchanceux qui réapprend à vivre avec l’étrange Shiro qui aspire le malheur de son hôte. Cette histoire avec un petit côté fantastique, m’a agréablement touché. Elle a une construction simpliste mais justement c’est sa simplicité qui en a fait sa force.

J’ai adoré la découverte des émotions positives de l’être humain : du bonheur à l’amour à travers les yeux de Shiro qui ne connait rien de tout cela comme un enfant qui vient de naître.

C’est tellement doux comme une tranche de vie, à la fois étrange, construit comme un conte qui a failli me faire peur avec un palette d’émotions sublime et doux.

A découvrir pour un joli moment de lecture simpliste et touchant.

Un giorno incontra un Akashibito, uno spirito semi-fantasma che si nutre dell’energia emotiva rilasciata dagli esseri umani. Per permettere allo spirito di sopravvivere, Miki stipula con lui un contratto: da quel momento, lo spirito prende il nome di Shiro.

All’inizio, Shiro tenta subito un approccio sessuale con Miki, cercando di ottenere nutrimento più facilmente attraverso l’intimità fisica. Ma Miki, seppur colpito da quel contatto, lo rifiuta. A casa, Shiro prepara per Miki una cena calda, semplice, ma piena di cura. Per Miki è un momento toccante: dopo tanto tempo, qualcuno si prende cura di lui con gentilezza. La storia è scritta e illustrata da hitomi, un’autrice nota per la delicatezza dei suoi lavori, e affronta temi complessi come la solitudine, la sofferenza emotiva e la possibilità di redenzione attraverso legami inaspettati.

La trama di Transparent Love (titolo originale: Toumei na Ai no Utsuwa ) ruota attorno a Miki Donoue, un giovane sfortunato sin dall'infanzia, che sembra essere perseguitato da eventi negativi nella sua vita. Transparent Love è un manga che, nonostante la sua brevità, offre una lettura ricca di significato. Non è solo una storia d'amore, ma una riflessione sull'importanza delle connessioni umane e sull'accettazione delle proprie emozioni, positive o negative che siano. È un'opera consigliata a chi ama le storie Boys’ Love con una componente psicologica e introspezione profonda, unite a un tocco di soprannaturale che rende l'intera vicenda ancora più affascinante e unica

Miki Donoue è un giovane uomo al quale sin da bambino capitano tante piccole sfortune e avversità. Una sera, mentre sta tornando a casa dal lavoro dopo l'ennesima giornataccia, incontra un uomo che gli chiede di cedergli la propria sfortuna. Miki è titubante, ma poi i due parlano e il misterioso uomo rivela di essere un akashibito, cioè una creatura che si nutre delle emozioni umane. Così i due siglano un contratto, e il misterioso uomo assume il nome di Shiro.

Miki non è particolarmente socievole, sul posto di lavoro fatica a relazionarsi con i colleghi e le sue disavventure lo perseguitano incessantemente. Anche con Shiro ha difficoltà nell'instaurare un vero rapporto, ma molto lentamente entrambi iniziano a parlare di loro stessi, di quello che provano, e questo li aiuta a trovare una sorta di nuovo equilibrio.
È stato emozionante osservare i loro piccoli progressi nel superare la routine quotidiana e le paure per scoprire ciò che l'altro e la vita hanno da offrire.

Sono rimasta con il fiato sospeso fino alla fine della storia, perché a un certo punto le strade possibili diventavano tante, ogni scelta portava a un possibile evento diverso.
È stato molto interessante vedere anche i due protagonisti interagire con gli altri personaggi, uno in particolare è stato una vera sorpresa.

Credo sia impossibile non rimanere in qualche modo impressionati da questo volume unico intenso e dolce.

I can’t say I didn’t pick this story up just because the shiro and miki reminded me of victuuri so I won’t lie. AND EVEN THEIR BEGINNING IS THE SAME I CAN’T 🙈🙈 a dark haired boy at the lowest point of his life meets a tall blond in need of saving as well who then opens his heart and shows him love? I have been ruined for this trope forever 🙈❤️

the premise of this story is so interesting, though. as many bls as I have read, I don’t thing I’ve ever seen a story about a demon bonding to a host and feeding off off the negative emotions they feel 🤔 I really liked the worldbuilding in this one!

the art is absolutely gorgeous and it somehow has that sharpness that comes with prickly, negative feelings - I love how it’s also a reflection of the story as a whole 👌

there is so much loneliness and sadness in this story that my heart hurts even now. but I’m glad that after everything, shiro and maki have each other 😭🙏

This is my first time reading Hitomi-sensei’s work, and I really liked it. There’s nothing super special about the story, but it’s a nice introduction to get to know more of their other works.

The story is about Miki, an employee at a creative agency who’s always unlucky, and Shiro, an Akashibito who keeps his existence in this world by feeding off the emotions of the humans he attaches to.

Even though some parts feel like slice of life, it’s clear the main genre is fantasy. With a premise like this, the ending is somewhat predictable, but that doesn’t take away the fun of reading it. It’s well-narrated and overall an enjoyable read.

What I liked the most is how Miki and Shiro’s relationship develops at a good pace. It doesn’t feel rushed, so when they eventually do end up in a relationship, it feels natural and not forced like in some other manga.

Miki a toujours été un homme malchanceux. Jusqu’au jour où il rencontre Shiro, un esprit qui se nourrit d’émotions négatives. C’est deux personnes vont finir par se côtoyer car en effet, Miki à cause de sa malchance est remplie de négativité, de tristesse et de solitude…

J’ai beaucoup apprécié ce manga, L’histoire est très touchante et original. Les personnages sont adorables et attachants. La relation qui s’installe petit a petit entre Shiro et Miki est très douce. C’est assez soft niveau sexe même s’il y a tout de même quelques scènes spicy …

En bref, une très bonne lecture ! Je ne peux que vous conseiller ce titre si vous ne connaissez pas.

Una història BL bonica i emocionant entre un jove que atrau la mala sort i un akashibito, un ésser antropomòrfic que s'alimenta a priori de les emocions negatives dels humans. Arran de la signatura d'un contracte, inicien una convivència que sembla beneficiosa per a totes dues parts, però que l'aparició de certes noves emocions posarà en perill aquesta simbiosi. Tot i que el desenllaç m'ha semblat un pèl previsible, tant les il·lustracions, preciosíssimes i ben expressives, com la commovedora evolució dels personatges ha fet que valgués la pena. De totes maneres, el ritme es fa un pèl feixuc en alguns punts i falta certa èpica o intensitat a la trama.

Achingly beautiful.
I saw others saying it made them cry and while I didn’t quite get there I can see why it made others tear up. I’m really surprised by the amount of emotion that was eked out in this single volume. The melancholy vibes, the questioning of humanity and what it means to have a soul… falling in love when it’s painful and poisonous (wow did this part feel relatable). I genuinely worried about if this was really a romance with an HEA for a minute there. But it is, and it’s worth the ache.

I’d love more of their life together, the extras were so satisfying and sweet. But I also feel like it was the perfect length.

This is so sweet and made me feel so warm. I really liked how Miki Donoue (MC) and Shiro (ML) changed for the better as they spent more time together. Miki transformed from a lonely pessimist to a confident and friendly person, while Shiro gained a soul and became a human, both learning how to love and be loved. They’re both so soft for each other and it was a pleasure to read about their daily lives together. I was a little worried that it would be a BE but the author didn’t let me down, thankfully.

Di rado mi capita di scrivere recensioni positive per un BL, che hanno la brutta tendenza ad essere storie morbose al limite dell'horror. Questa storia d'amore sovrannaturale è bella, originale e delicata. Non mancano le scene erotiche, anche quelle ben rappresentate, ma finalmente un manga che non sia semplicemente e solo stupr°, incest° e cacate varie. Ben disegnato, ben scritto, una boccata d'ossigeno nel panoramente del BL contemporaneo. Assolutamente consigliato a tutti gli amanti del genere.

Aaaah, davvero non volevo piangere. Una storia delicata, toccante, malinconica, fiabesca, fatta di silenziosi equilibri, prime scoperte, emozioni, solitudini ovattate. Sicuramente una delle migliori letture di quest’anno sia per la trama che a livello visivo. Dopo aver girato l’ultima pagina mi sono sentita ispirata e anch’io più pesante, vuota e consapevole. Ho decisamente bisogno di più letture così.

Inizierei dicendo che comprare manga solo per uno stile di disegno che ho trovato appagante mi ha portato in posti nei quali non andrei neanche con una pistola.
Detto questo, ho trovato la storia interessante, nulla di sconvolgente ma con qualche escamotage narrativo ben piazzato che rende la lettura più che scorrevole. Disegni ottimi (riferirsi alla prima riga) e potenziale alto per prossime pubblicazioni dell'autrice.
