Great book with plenty of practical examples. 4 stars and not 5 because as for all PM books out there, concepts and examples are specifically tailored to software product manager... its pretty crazy how these authors forget that theres physical hardware products, some of them pretty complex medical technologies or even in vitro diagnostics, or anything biotech related? still cannot find any useful material for these specific niches.
Was considering this as a career move after being an individual contributor mechanical and software engineer for 20 years. Matt does an excellent job of getting you into the right mindset for this role.
But ... I don't think the role is for me. But that's a feature, not a bug! I'm sure it's for some people. But I still learned things from it that I can use in the future.
I recently started work as a PM, and this was the first book I read. It's been huge, and I'm so glad I came across it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their PM practice.
