Book one

New York City financier, thirty-nine-year-old Perry Jackson, discovers a letter from his deceased husband, Jack, who’s death leaves Perry reeling and alone. After eighteen years together, Perry has no idea how he can move forward.

Lucas Jenson, a nineteen-year-old residing in Beaufort, South Carolina, has lost both his mother and the man he dreamed of sharing his life with. Lucas discovers a letter from his mother that directs him to a safe deposit box. The box contains two letters that reveal life-altering revelations.

Join Perry as he takes his dead husband’s advice and begins a journey of discovery. Perry’s journey begins with the meeting of a mysterious boy named Chad. Will this boy provide the answers to his future, or will he only be the first stop that leads Perry to a destiny with Lucas?

Book one of LETTERS is a story about how we pick up the pieces of our lives and make the choice to live again. Are Perry and Lucas destined for love? Does Chad, the ethereal boy from Virginia, still figure into the journey of the two men with letters?

Book two

In LETTERS Book Two, we find Perry broken-hearted and heading home to the Hamptons. After four months of a promised one-year journey, Perry concedes that his destiny with Lucas has failed. In yet another serendipitous moment, Perry once again encounters the otherworldly young man, Chad.

Perry and Chad met in the beginning of Perry’s journey while he searched for love and a new life without his deceased husband, Jack. Chad, sensing he was not the one for Perry, encouraged Perry to continue his search for love and the two parted ways. Does another chance meeting add up to love for Perry and Chad?

Lucas, still residing in Beaufort, South Carolina, hung his heart on the chance for love with Perry. The young man from the wrong side of the tracks found it difficult to imagine a life with the multi-millionaire. The differences in their lives seemed too great to overcome. With a heavy heart, Lucas gave up on love.

Nothing about Perry and Lucas’s journey has been easy, but now they both have choices to make. Does Perry consider that Chad is the man he should have chosen? Does Lucas regret letting Perry go?

And finally, what about Jack? Do dead men really tell no tales? Not exactly. Jack cannot speak, but he still has plenty to say as the story comes to the ultimate conclusion.

The Complete Duet Edition features seven new chapters that will introduce readers to LETTERS Book Three - Chad’s Story.

"You are the driver now, my love"

this book is just beautiful ! Perry loses his love of his life, his soulmate, his husband, his everything. He is lost in grief, but his husband (Jack) is guiding him to his new life & love it's just beautiful.

"I am alive in your heart, so let's go find another great love"

I loved all the characters in this book ! Lucas that sweetie he deserved to be loved and to have dreams, Chad omg he is such a positive soul and so much fun ! I can't wait for book 3 and Chad his story !! That poor Clint he is so protective and lost in his journey I hope to see more of Clint in book 3.

The main characters in this book are Perry & Lucas, but no doubt this is also Jack his last story.. his last journey to find peace and rest.

This book deserves 5 stars !

Other Worldly Feels More than 10 🌟

Don’t know what happened to my original review sent through earlier today. I was tempted to just let it go but I loved this book too much not to want to share how good a read this book was for me.

Perry a 39 year old NYC wealthy Financier, is drowning in heartbreak and alcohol for the past few months following the sudden death of his husband Jack, in a freak car accident. He’s been a recluse and it’s his brother breaking down his door that finally gets him out of bed. He’s scared when he’s sees his image in the mirror, a shadow of his normally gorgeous body.

His Lawyer brother needs access to documents deposited in a vault by Jack, which Perry needs to open for the first time. Both of them find and sign what’s needs done and the there is the envelope with Perry’s name written in Jack’s handwriting. Once Perry reads this Letter he is devastated and can’t stop crying. Jack, who always saw to things that their life ran smoothly, has made a plan that Perry has to follow, no matter what. *First occasion for my tears.😭

Cutting to the chase, Perry follows Jack’s plan like he’s always done and hits the road. I suggest very strongly that you get on board for this trip. ❤️💔🥰😥😭💥🧨 it’s all there waiting.

I’ve read several of Michael Robert books and enjoyed every one of them, all Keepers for re-reading. This particular one is an outstandingly magnificent one to me.

Michael is such a brilliant story weaver, beautifully written with words packing high emotional punch and sense of place and atmosphere. ‘Letters’ surely ranks among his best to date.

Unusually for an MM story, I feel there are more than 2 MC’s here because a few of them feature very strongly throughout the story. They leap straight off the pages, clutch at the strings of your heart and won’t let go. I’d love to believe such ‘strange connections’ were possible in real life.

Despite my many crying bouts, it is a very uplifting story too, with an amazing presence of ‘other worldly characters’, maybe ghosts or angels, take your pick.

There is angst, homophobic slurs from homophobic axxhxxxx, a violent incident involving a secondary character of importance, on page. letters is available as 2 separate books or as here in Duet form. Plus, one of the most important side characters (he is much more than that) gets his own story in Book 3, it’s already and waiting for my perusal.

For a great reading experience full of feels, steam, wonderful characters, and an excellent storyline, grab “Letters” for your enjoyment. It is a gem of a story.

Learn to dream

💕 Although this is a great love story between Perry and Lucas, I feel as though Jack is at the centre of this tale. His overlying presence as a type of cosmic consciousness shows us an overwhelming sense of love, even beyond the grave.
Perry didn’t know how to move on from the loss of a great love like Jack’s. And a part of him didn’t want to.
Lucas’s own sorrow and challenges are equally somber.
The letter left behind by Jack leads Perry on a road to rediscovery. Not only for a new love, but a return to his roots.
Even in death, Jack works his magic, touching people along Perry’s journey, guiding Perry every step of the way.
Chad’s clairvoyant nature and free, loving spirit is a gift. I’m so pleased to see that he’s getting his own book.
And Lucas? Sweet, sweet Lucas deserves a love that never leaves him. Watching his bond grow with Mr. and Mrs. Howard is a beautiful story all on its own.
As for Perry and Lucas’ tale of happily ever after, their love is not without its challenges. But Jack would never rest until he sees this through. A spiritual journey that will leave you believing in the overwhelming power of love beyond the grave. A story that teaches us to dream.

Where to begin with this review…. I’m honestly a bit afraid I won’t do this story justice ♥️

What a journey, what an emotional story and the storytelling skills are perfect ♥️

I’m drawn in from the start, I rarely read long books like this. But it’s such a beautiful and interesting story that I just couldn’t stop reading it. It’s the kind of story you think about when you’re doing other stuff than reading it.

These characters, the plot and pacing is just an adventure ♥️ All the feelings I felt while reading it says a lot about the author’s way with words, and the way he captures us readers in his story. If left me thinking about life, love and the people you meet throughout your life that makes a difference ♥️

I’m not gonna repeat the blurb, just have to say that I am so grateful that I started reading this story and I can’t stop being amazed by this author’s way with words.

Love the characters to pieces, how some of them broke my heart. How they grow and how they learn to know themselves ♥️ The side characters are amazing as well. Who doesn’t love found family? ♥️

Some of the sex scenes made me crave cold showers and a cigarette 🫦🔥 Give me all the dirty talk with some “baby boy” and “daddy” thrown in 🫠 Did I mention that I love all the endearments and nicknames in this? 😍

Believe me when I say, GO READ THIS BOOK!!! I can’t wait to read Chad’s story, and the author definitely needs to write Clint one as well ♥️

You know when you start reading a book and your heart breaks straight away and all you can feel is an eternal sadness for one of the characters? You know it’s going to be a good book!

I’m not a cryer for books. I have possibly cried for two others before this one. Perry, Lucas, Jack, Clint and Chad have had me balling like a baby.

Perry is a broken man and Jack finds his own way to help heal him even though he’s gone. Jack’s ‘otherworldly ways’ leads him to find a life once again and get him out of his horrendous darkness.

Lucas, bereft after Lachen and his mother’s death, is thrown out by his father but he’ll never know how much that changed his life. He’s grateful of Mr and Mrs Howard and their generosity and kindness, grateful of such a simple life and having a roof over his head, he doesn’t see straight away how much they love him and it’s so beautiful to see how their relationship changes over time.

Chad and Clint are such an important part in this story, weaving their way into the lives of Lucas and Perry, helped along by Jack and the path he has carved out for everyone.

This edition was quite large but the page turns were quick for me, wanting to know what happened next and their story.

If you’re in a reading slump I can guarantee this book will pull you right out and give you a good shake.

Michael Robert- this book was perfection.

I just came across a book that completely captured my attention from the very first sentence. The story revolves around Perry and Jack, and their journey through life. Perry's journey is particularly challenging as he tries hard to cope with his loneliness after Jack's departure. However, his life takes a positive turn when he meets Chad and Lucas, and his heart opens up to them.

While reading this book, I was moved by the emotions and experiences that the characters go through. The author has done a phenomenal job in creating relatable characters with real-life problems. The way the story is written with perfect descriptions and character development is truly amazing.

Moreover, the letters that the guys received, which changed their lives, had me in tears. It is a beautiful reminder that life can take unexpected turns, but we should never give up hope. Despite the challenges, the characters show incredible resilience and strength.

Overall, this book deserves more than just a 5-star rating. It is a testament to the power of compassion, friendship, and hope, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a heartwarming read…

first read for Mr Robert

The story here…Perry, Lucas, Chad……Jack.
It’s not the typical love story I had come to expect. This is a poignant, beautiful, sad and , joyous tale. I loved these books and have plans to reread them very soon (it’s my thing).
I would highly recommend this duet, please do yourself a favor and read it, just make sure you have wine and tissues.

Finding love

I enjoyed Lucas and Perry’s story. Perry had lost the love of his life and wasn’t sure how to go on. Jack had left him a letter, asking him to live, to travel, and to find love again. So, Perry begins an adventure that leads to places he could never imagine.

This is an amazing duet of books and I could not put it down. This is worth so much more than 5 stars and while this isn't a typical love story there is just so much to it.

I completed this back at the beginning of the year but didn't get a chance to review and wanted to do so now at least briefly...

This duet is one of my faves....it's just completely different and unique from your normal read (as are all of this authors books). The characters are wonderful. You'll definitely fall in love with them even the ones that only have a brief spotlight. There's drama, heat, mystery, and a touch of a magical undertone. Plus with this version you get a taste of book three and I can't wait to read it!!

I highly recommend this series!!
