- This book was honestly way too depressing. I've read some really depressing books but this one was way too sad and had me crying a few times. Even though he did talk about faith a few times, I don't think it was enough to make the story inspiring or uplifting. I think seeing Robert Rogers speak about the tragedy in person was much more inspiring.
- I didn't like how the tragedy was written about first, and then the flashbacks. The flashbacks were so sad too...he mostly wrote about the traumatic things that happened in his life, besides the flood (miscarriages, breakups, etc).
+ At the same time, I couldn't put the book down and I was always think about it. I realize it's important to appreciate the really small things.
