Well I wasn’t expecting this. The first chapters made me think I was reading an insta love story with some thriller mistery vibes. Both characters have vulnerabilities and flaws that makes them really human to the reader. Frankie is someone really endearing, a simple girl who has no self confidence that can’t believe someone out of her league would lay an eye on her. I dare everyone who reads the book to not feel for her. Leece is, let’s say it kind of fuvked up and lost. She has theses strange migraines, flashbacks that brings mystery and suspence to the story. She also has this compulstion to lie and say things she doesn’t understand herself. I kept reading because and wanted to know so much the truth about Leece’s past.
I won’t spoil anything, but Wilson really surprised me with twists I wasn’t expecting. The truth hurt very much, especially for Frankie’s character, whom you will absolutely want to hug. I even wanted more chapters because I wanted to bask a little longer in the world where the truth was out in the end. It felt a bit rushed. Despite the last chapters tickling the realistic scientific side of my brain a bit, it was satisfying for the reader.

Overall, this book is really well written, fast-paced with a touching romance and twists that make you keep reading until the truth is unveiled.

Intriguing!

Leece meets Frankie at Big Lots and is instantly taken with her, feeling a connection so intense that she ends up telling lie after lie until Frankie falls in love with her. When Frankie discovers Leece hasn’t been as honest with her as she thought, things take a turn and Leece is forced to explore a past she doesn’t quite remember.

There were a lot of twists and turns in this story that really kept me guessing. It did have some darker moments and references but they were all handled with sensitivity and care. Leece seemed too good to be true, and my heart broke for Frankie when she discovered that the connection they had found was based on Leece’s compulsions to lie. I understood exactly how Frankie felt, wanting to know why and feeling frustrated that Leece seemed incapable of providing an answer for her.

When Leece really started trying to remember and started getting flashbacks, I wondered if like Frankie I had judged her too quickly. As bits came into place and the reasons for Leece’s behaviour started to be revealed I really felt for her. Not only was it confusing but it had done such harm that might not be able to be undone. It was heartbreaking but when Leece started trying to put it right, I was cheering her on and hoping it was possible. I also hoped that her and Frankie would find a way to reconnect because despite everything, they were a brilliant pairing and really cute.

A lovely romance, with a hint of suspense and lots of very sweet moments between two vulnerable but lovely young women.

Only Human is a great book with heavy topics and suspense that keeps you gripped with the story.

Leece meets Frankie at a convenience store Frankie works at, and it's love at first sight for both. But for Frankie, she thinks it's too good to be true because Leece is perfect... TOO perfect. Leece is struggling with migraines, flashbacks, and addiction. The story follows their journey and some twists and turns make you realise that when some things are too good to be true, there is probably a reason. At least, that's what Frankie releases, until she learns the truth and Leece goes through her self-healing and realises that there is more to the story and she can make something out of it.

The book is well written, there were cute moments, and hard moments to read but it made the point of the book more compelling.

Thank you to the author for writing this book. This review is left voluntarily.

Ohh I could not stop smiling reading Only Human by Audrey Wilson! Only Human is
Leece’s and Frankie’s beautifully written love story! These two had chemistry that was off the charts! I loved being the fly on the wall seeing their relationship’s ups and downs.

Instantly I fell head over heels in love with the beautiful cover art! The graphic was spot on to the story and wow the colors were breathtaking. It was very eye-catching where you just needed to know what the book is about.

Audrey brings up some very important topics like substance abuse, alcoholism, sexual assault and rape.

There are some mysterious twists and turns that you will not see coming. It is a storyline that was thought outside of the box.

This is a fast paced, addictive, quick read that will have you smiling too. I would highly recommend this book to add to your TBR List.

I really enjoyed this book and the sensitivity Audrey showed to some heavier topics. This story takes two individuals who are completely different and have them fall for each other despite their differences. There are many ups and downs throughout the book including some twists you don't quite expect.
Leece and Frankie have many relatable characteristics that will have you falling in love with the characters as well. Thanks for letting me read this early!

A sweet little tale of first love between two young women who couldn't be more different! Indiana was a familiar and unexpected setting, and the added bonus was the Killers, a favorite band of mine! Definitely give this a read if you want a sweet, quick little lesbian love story!

This book was fantastic. I read through it in a matter of days. I'm not typically one for romance, but Only Human is a wonderful blend of romance, mystery, and a touch of sci-fi. I really enjoyed the dual narrative, which allowed me to get into the heads of the characters and experience the excitement and anxiety of falling in love. Overall, this is a very well-crafted, enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.
