Are you wishing for emotional healing, but having trouble finding it through your faith? Do you pray and pray, but experience no emotional transformation?
Often, it can seem as if faith and spirituality are disconnected from emotional wellness. Since emotions are such a significant part of life, how can it be that God left the path to emotional peace and recovery out of scripture?
The problem isn’t scripture, the problem is societal conditioning that leaks into how we perceive our faith. This 40-day devotional pinpoints the ways we have mixed cultural programming into living our faith, making it impossible to experience emotional healing. Once your eyes are opened to this issue, you’ll experience scripture in a completely new way—a way that brings you the emotional wellness you’ve been wanting.

The mix of scripture with psychology is just what is needed, especially in a society so detached not just spiritually but mentally. Mental Health is at an all time rise.
This book was everything I needed and more. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it in the physical form, it was delivered to my Kindle and took a while to finish because I wasn't fully committed. The moment I really got into it I was having a new perspective on things in my life, my marriage and other relationships. This book was actually healing for me! This was my first time reading this author and now I'm going right to Amazon and ordering both this book and the one that follows. I look forward to answering the questions and creating a journal to refer to and reflect because these scriptures were perfectly selected, explained and definitely Emotionally Healing for me. I can't say how many times I was yelling "YES and Amen" while reading this book. I can't wait to highlight and make additional notes. This book has been an amazing asset to my Spiritual Journey.
A beautiful, scripture-based read. This book gently guides you toward emotional healing through the Word, encouraging deep reflection on what you’ve believed, learned, and experienced before Christ. It is thought-provoking and calls for honest introspection. Expect to find restoration, peace, and healing...if you are willing to open your heart and be truthful with yourself. For anyone determined to grow in faith and rise above past and present struggles, this is the book for you.
I will start by saying I am a daily Bible reader. A devotional is not something I need dive deeper into the Word, I use The Word for that. I am giving this book 3 stars not because it wasn't a good devotional; it just didn't speak to me as profoundly as I anticipated. I will say I read this book during a very busy time in my life. I honestly think I may pick this one back up again.
Author uses practical examples, some personal examples, includes mixed Christian/secular info, great for baby Christian or Old, easy, quick read to be able to fit in busy mom/employee schedule, I am a counselor and I share this with clients who are seeking to gain information about Christianity/connect with God/have a daily practice for aligning with their spiritual path.
I really enjoyed this devotion, however I felt that at the end of it, maybe the last 10 days, I didn't necessarily agree with what the author was saying on everything. I feel like he was not using the proper context along with what he was trying to convey. But up until that point I really got a lot out of it.
Excellent devotional for study. As always I would recommend this book for study by all! The author gave a testimony that if you read the devotional again, something else would be revealed!
This book has many great tips on how to deepen your relationship with the Lord. It makes you think of things in your life that you may not have addressed and how they truly affect you.
This book spoke to me and gave me a lot o knowledge on how to handle life’s challenges and I love how it says sit in quiet and listen for God’s voice. I’ve started doing that and it has helped me to relax and calm my mind. I just sit and talk to God
Definitely gives you a new perspective on things and shows you what Christ would have you do. God does not want us burdened. He wants us set free and we should all be striving for that.
A nice 40 day devotional book. Perfect for Lent or any time of year. Different topics. Bible versus. Stories. Reflection. Even a nice Try This at the end of each day for you to reflect upon or to go at it with your journal.

Just finished day 38 I have always been a devotional girl. (Jesus calling being my go to) This devotional takes the extra step giving relatable examples and even a step further asking yourself the questions requiring thought and participation. I really like this devotional and would definitely recommend.
