Emotional Healing Through Scripture : A 40-Day Devotional to Experience Restoration, Recovery, and Peace

Rate this book
Are you wishing for emotional healing, but having trouble finding it through your faith? Do you pray and pray, but experience no emotional transformation?

Often, it can seem as if faith and spirituality are disconnected from emotional wellness. Since emotions are such a significant part of life, how can it be that God left the path to emotional peace and recovery out of scripture?

The problem isn’t scripture, the problem is societal conditioning that leaks into how we perceive our faith. This 40-day devotional pinpoints the ways we have mixed cultural programming into living our faith, making it impossible to experience emotional healing. Once your eyes are opened to this issue, you’ll experience scripture in a completely new way—a way that brings you the emotional wellness you’ve been wanting.

Emotional Healing Through Scripture will show you the path to healing a variety of emotional difficulties and challenges, woundsChildhood traumasRejection and other relationship issuesPurposelessnessBlocked emotionsLongstanding feelings of anger, frustration, or sadnessA lack of vitality, aliveness, and joyBeing unable to take action due to being trapped by fearLong-term emotional painA lack of closeness with GodA sense of being overly responsible for everybody elseBelieving God doesn’t care about youLow self-confidenceReady yourself for a renewed sense of being able to face your problems, stand up to your challenges, and to gain a brand new outlook toward faith, scripture, God, yourself, and life.

Inspiring doesn't even cover it

The mix of scripture with psychology is just what is needed, especially in a society so detached not just spiritually but mentally.
Mental Health is at an all time rise.

A beautiful, scripture-based read. This book gently guides you toward emotional healing through the Word, encouraging deep reflection on what you’ve believed, learned, and experienced before Christ. It is thought-provoking and calls for honest introspection. Expect to find restoration, peace, and healing...if you are willing to open your heart and be truthful with yourself. For anyone determined to grow in faith and rise above past and present struggles, this is the book for you.

Mixed Feelings

I will start by saying I am a daily Bible reader. A devotional is not something I need dive deeper into the Word, I use The Word for that. I am giving this book 3 stars not because it wasn't a good devotional; it just didn't speak to me as profoundly as I anticipated. I will say I read this book during a very busy time in my life. I honestly think I may pick this one back up again.

peace

This book spoke to me and gave me a lot o knowledge on how to handle life’s challenges and I love how it says sit in quiet and listen for God’s voice. I’ve started doing that and it has helped me to relax and calm my mind. I just sit and talk to God

Based on Scripture

Definitely gives you a new perspective on things and shows you what Christ would have you do. God does not want us burdened. He wants us set free and we should all be striving for that.

Just finished day 38 I have always been a devotional girl. (Jesus calling being my go to) This devotional takes the extra step giving relatable examples and even a step further asking yourself the questions requiring thought and participation. I really like this devotional and would definitely recommend.
