This is an extremely heartfelt and heartwarming tale about familial ties, and taking hoofs to the eyes.
It’s short, it’s sweet, and you’re certainly in for a treat.

It’s just so fucking wholesome!!

I was given the opportunity to listen to this story on Audible from the author for an honest review. I'm usually not a fan of single narration audiobooks, but the narrator that Jason chose for this story, Jarod Lukehart, did an incredible job 👏

A father tells his son a story from his past of when he had an encounter with a deer and fought for his life in this fun, intense, and comical short story with the right amount of gory details. 5 hoofs (hooves?)

Hoofs was a shred of nostalgia for me as a girl from the Midwest. This short read really knows how to pack a punch, or rather, a hoof. I felt like I was sitting down in my own dad's living room listening to him spin a tale with all its embellishments, puns, and F-bombs (for a little bit of spice). Jason has a way of not only painting a vivid picture, but also invoking a wholesome warmth with a splash of comedy within his readers. I highly recommend this read.
