School: Memories and Reflections

School has been a part of my life for seventy plus years. Many of my best memories are related to my school experiences. My experiences include being a student, teacher, coach, school principal, statewide education consultant, university adjunct professor, supervisor of resident student teachers and a facilitator for school board training. I have served Tennessee schools under five governors and helped implement many school improvement and school reform initiatives. I hope by sharing my memories, experiences and perceptions about schools will perhaps influence positive change in schools in the future.
