Our best game plan is to find a way to bring down the show, but then the host reveals shocking hidden footage of Kira and I together, and our worst fears are realized. Everyone turns against us. The challenges are becoming relentless and the stakes have never been higher, yet Kira is still determined to save the other participants. Our plan to help the others escape to safety may be risky, but it’s our last hope. Only nothing prepares us for what comes next. The time to play games is over, because now it’s life or death…

Great read

This is the second in what looks to be a three book series! I've enjoyed the series! BUT! I wish I would have found it after the series was complete! Cliff hangers kill me! LOL Wyatt is so protective! And Kira is so fiesty!

overall thought it was a pretty good read.

I did enjoyed reading this. The premise is really interesting, I love the take on the fated mate bonds being found with a blood test and how that might be being manipulated. With the added mysteries of the island as an added layer it is definitely an interesting read.

However…

It was a bit wordy. Especially with parts that repeat throughout as if the authors thought the reader might have forgotten. Like Mika’s rejection, every time it was mentioned instead of just saying his rejection they would tell us the story all over again, multiple times. After so many times I was frustrated (the readers aren’t that dense, we can remember details) and that’s just one example.

Also it felt a little repetitive. There was soooo much talking over meals, internal contemplating, and then battles/competitions. Would’ve like a little more variety in scenes, I mean come on the 2 MCs were train operatives, you think there could’ve been a little more sneaking around and listening to the staff or other players and then almost getting caught to up the ante. It happened ONCE in the whole book and no real/new information was even gained, so I’m not sure it really even added to the story (I think there might have been some small bits of info intended to help the story in the future, but nothing that helped move the current story forward). I mean the MMC was able to move around the house so easily and didn’t even come close to getting caught it was anti-climactic.

It was mentioned so many times about being quiet bc they were at such high risk of being overheard, but not once did the MCs, with their advanced hearing, overhear anyone else, not. even. once. The scenes were so repetitive I was skimming through the battle scenes looking only for quotation marks to read the dialogue and then skimming to the next quotation until the scene was over. They even had a luau on the beach and could have done something different in that scene, but of course not, all the characters did was talk some more and then it was over. There could’ve been dancing, swimming, beach volleyball anything to change it up a bit.

There was very little dialogue between the FMC and the other characters. I mean almost 90% of her dialogue through this book and the previous book was with the MMC. She had some interactions with the other female characters, but it was always brief and most of her interactions with the other alpha characters were written in as “we talked” this just lends to the feeling of repetition.

Even with all that I still thought it was good and will continue reading the series, but I will probably continue to skim through a lot of the scenes. If asked I would recommend it to a friend with the caveat that it’s super wordy and they may do some skimming.

Terrible series

The author doesn't think about things from the perspective of her characters. For instance, Kira shifts for the second time ever in her life on live TV to save Wyatt and her parents and brother don't respond in intense anger after she has been lying to them for years, telling them she is incapable of shifting when the truth is that she's scared to. Her family had a right to know the truth because she was only 12 when she shifted for the first time and killed a man in self defense. If I were a member of her family, I would be furious to have been lied to all these years. I would also be furious about the humiliation that she unnecessarily put her family through. I would have developed a scene where her family, desperate to talk to her after learning she can shift, agrees to a live interview. Then, I would have had them get angry and accuse her of being selfish and not caring about her family or her pack (which by refusing to shift, she is showing that she doesn't care about anyone but herself). If she had only shifted, instead of suppressing her wolf and lying to everyone about it, she could have spared her family a great deal of humiliation and shame. She was so selfish to make that decision to not shift ever again when she was 12, instead of confiding in her parents who would have gotten her counseling and mental health support. And the reality is that the truth would have come out in the investigation of the guy she killed with DNA evidence, so this book is really unbelievable on so many levels.

More twists and turns

I really want to give this 5 stars. I struggle with so.eof the storyline being slow. I normally don't mind, but it just seemed not needed.
This story threw me for a loop. It's so chaotic and fun. Honestly, Von needs to take a long walk in the sun

This would have been perfectly suited for one book and not a long drawn out series. I love details but this was just overkill.

WOAH!!!Even more of a wild ride than the first book. Once I start reading I really struggle to withdraw from this story to attend to "everyday real life" & find myself randomly thinking about the characters. Kiera & Wyatt find themselves in even more of a fight for their lives than the other contestants on the show as they realise the two of them are in the most danger & seem to be being set up for the eliminations deliberately. I love the way Kiera is still trying to fight her feelings for Wyatt to do what she thinks is best for her pack, whilst Wyatt himself realises just how deep his feelings for her really are. They are beginning to form tentative friendships with some of the other cast members. I still can't work out if they can all be trusted or if maybe one is a plant by the showrunners. Throat in mouth at the ending although I had semi foreseen it coming. Couldn't dive straight into book 3 as it was past midnight & I needed to get to sleep. I did download it ready for starting at some point today though. Even the odd missing word didn't spoil it for me though I do recommend it gets edited again.

Another incredible addition to this series! I love the non-stop action and excitement. This book kept me on my toes and it was such a page turner, I could not put it down! the amount of change that took place was surreal and I am still on the fence about if the alpha’s are safe or not. Wyatt and Kira’s relationship is starting to solidify and i am thinking they might be actual fated mates. After that shocking cliffhanger, I absolutely NEED to know what is going to happen next. Is the show done for good or will this just be a temporary set back for the demented showrunners? Is the woman in white at the meeting the Shadowkeeper’s sister? What is going on back home and what happened to Abel? I have so many questions!.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am bad at reviewing individual books in trilogies/series that follow a single storyline. My ADHD ass brain mushes everything together.

This book definitely was not as strong as the first book. It very much felt like a segue into the last book. Pretty much the same stuff was happening as book 1. Yes, Kira and Wyatt had a bigger target on their backs in this book because their secret was revealed, but it didn't actually affect them that much. I wish there had been more of a focus on Haven and escaping, instead of the challenges.

That being said, I absolutely was NOT expecting the last few chapters to go the direction they did. So that was a big plus. It guarantees book 3 will be something new, and I am very excited.

Facing a Life or Death Situation . . .

Kira Durst and Wyatt Rivers are in a dangerous game in The Reject Project, a notoriously dangerous TV show featuring bachelors and rejected mates. When Kira’s mate rejected her, she became a participant. So Wyatt joined to protect his best friend’s little sister. The danger is escalating and no one will stop what is going on. Now all eyes are on Kira and Wyatt and, with the others now turned against them, they are on their own to survive. Will they make it out alive?

Real or fake?

This series is blowing my mind. This is the 2nd book that I ever read from this author and she lets it all hang out in the book. There is everything you can think of and probably more that keeps this book alive with all mis-adventures they have to go on, the lives to save or can't and if course the show itself. I don't want to give a lot away about the characters just just really need to read the series. I can't wait until March for the 3rd book. Keep up the great work!!?

This is the second book in the series, and after reading the first, I absolutely had to get this one. I'm entirely hooked on Kira and Wyatt. I would love to know about their history and secrets and how they both navigate The Reject Project.

I was reading it, and the book I was reading got removed. It seems this is now book 2, so I assume Fated for Rejection got released, but I don't know why it isn't showing up so I can read this fantastic series in the correct order.

This book begins with Kira in The Reject Project. It picks up where the removed book 2 left off. This whole thing makes this fantastic series confusing. This book has a lot of references to the previous book that was pulled, so it might need to be clarified. I would like to ask the authors why they removed that other book.

Kira and Wyatt are still in a love/hate relationship. Worried as heck one minute and trading barbs the next. The truth comes out, and this book doesn't spare the nail-biting edge-of-your-seat drama. You get so sucked into Kira and Wyatt's survival that the rare instances of romance are to be celebrated. The book is mostly action, suspense, and valuable moments.

Dating action sequences, drama like you can't believe, and steamy romance keep this story rolling with the reader at the edge of your seat. This book is more fantasy than paranormal, but it works and is so good. I am enjoying this fiction and all the surprise challenges and plots.

This book is less of a read than the others, but it is still decent and extends the overall storyline. Oh, that's an exciting turn of events, different from what I expected from this book.

This book ends even more mysteriously than the last, leaving us on quite the cliffhanger, and the next book isn't even out yet. Ugh, I have to wait to finish this series.

Better

This is one of those where the second book was loads better than the first. The author has obviously got into the swing of things and is throwing out lots of little twists and turns in the story. I think there are 3 or 4 spicy scenes but I've skipped each one, and the odd bits of speech text I've seen have made me cringe so hard, I'm not mad about doing so. Still a fun story though. Will definitely read the next one.

Couldn't put the book down, especially as it picked up steam at the end. It would have helped if I had read book one as it continues on with that story line but I was still able to understand what was going on and I will definitely keep going now that I am hooked.

This will be quick and I might not make sense.
1. You gotta get the 1st book then follow with the rest of this series!

Then get comfy, tell family and friends do not disturb or want me to do ANYTHING! UNTIL you are finished.

I gotta go... I need to read the next book!

Crash

XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. Ever been in a crash before? You know the feeling you get when your mind recognizes what is about to happen and you can do nothing to stop it? That was the feeling when Kids looked into the camera just before she spoke. Then the world started burning.

I can’t get enough!!!

Kira & Wyatt’s story continues and they have finally admitted their feelings!! Also, I’m positive that they are actually each others fated mates. This book was amazing! There were so many surprising elements that I couldn’t have predicted and that is so refreshing!

I must say how the book started, just jumping in a spot during the games and introducing a new character and talking about a death of another and a new group on the island had me a bit out of the loop feeling. Some things got touched on later in snippets. Though as it went on it got better and I got more into the rhythm of the group and series again.

Wow... book 2 is quite thrilling and packed with adventure and mayhem. I'm absolutely loving this series. I can't wait to read on to book3 and see what happens, but I'm also sad that it will end soon. I read this book in 6 hours. I could not put it down. I had to force myself to get up and eat. 😂 I'm really enjoying this storyline.

I wonder if the author drags everything out just to make more money . Is it you are paid by page read from Amazon?
Some authors move too fast through a plot, this author moves too slow. So many dragged out scenarios, conversations, realizations etc . It’s get too frustrating reading - I take a break and come back but then I’m disappointed again

This book was just (chefs kiss) for me. Same with the first book. I absolutely love this trilogy so far. Would have finished it way sooner but life gets in the way a lot. This trilogy is NOT talked about enough. If you love vampires, wolves, creatures of all kinds, danger, and hunger games, then you will love this trilogy as well. Can’t wait to start the third book.

Karma is a b***th!

Brilliant, a little slow starting but explosive as it gets going. Witches, ghouls and werewolves and so much more are just waiting to strike. Who is Simon really? What is Simon doing and Why? Do the players and their new friends make it, do they get off the island? I want to find out. Ready for the next book. 😘

Chilling suspense

The deeper Kira and Wyatt get into the background of the show, starting to prove their theories true, the more tense things seem to get. There are quite a few characters I sincerely hope make it out of the nightmare with them. Look forward to book 3!

book 3 in the series

This is mislabeled as book 2, but it’s actually book 3. Good story, keeps you wanting more. Solid cliffhanger but the I think final book was just released. Just make sure to read the true book 2 first or it will be really confusing.

Omg

The emotional and chaos is off the charts! The cliff hanger and surprise was also crazy! I think that trying to save everyone has worked out as well as can be planned when you're on a crazy island, guess I have to wait for the next book to see what happens!
