4.5 ⭐️ Kings Proposition was book two of the King Dynasty Series. Sarai King owned an adult only resort that had an exclusive, invite-only club called Club Velvet. Khyri Hamilton was the CEO of Empire Industries, a rival to the King Family. The two found themselves at odds regarding their "arrangement" - Sarai wanted more and Khyri was content with the way things were. In an effort to show Sarai that he was the man, Khyri decided to outbid Sarai's mother on a property she wanted. They both had a level of pettiness that made me chuckle. Because why did Khyri come for an elderly woman because her daughter wanted more, lol! I think the eventual compromise was a good idea because it gave them a chance to learn more about the other, outside of the bedroom. I could tell there was more than just a physical attraction based on their reactions and the way they acted once they were down from their sex-induced high. Khyri needed Sarai more than he realized and it showed as the story progressed. The thing that I enjoyed about this story was how Sarai wanted to know more about Khyri. Even when he shut down, she didn't give up on him. It translated on page as Sarai knowing who and what she wanted and not as desperation. It just took Khyri some time to let his guards down and know that he deserved love. Both characters were very headstrong and go-getters but the way Khyri dominated Sarai in the bedroom was satisfying. It was sexy and really the only time that he was vulnerable. I loved their sexual scenes, it wasn't the focus of the book but it was an additional layer that showed a different side of the characters. Overall, I enjoyed the book and finished it within hours of starting. I am learning more about the siblings and their family dynamics. I loved the ending, the proposal was super thoughtful!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — 4 out of 5, even if I’m side-eyeing that unresolved trauma arc
So I accidentally jumped into Book 2 of the series (classic me), but King Proposition had me hooked from page one. The plot? Juicy. The premise? Absolutely my kind of drama. And now I’m committed to circling back for Book 1 and continuing the ride.
The male lead? Whew. He’s emotionally locked down like Fort Knox. I get it trauma, pain, walls up but it was aggravating watching him refuse to actually work through it. By the end, he’s moved past it... kinda. But it felt like he walked around the issue, not through it, and that left me twitching just a little. Still, I appreciated the growth we did get.
What really hit home was the family dynamic. Her siblings? Peak chaos. Annoying in the way only siblings can be but also loyal, loving, and ready to throw down when it counts. That layer of support added so much heart to the story.
Overall: juicy plot, layered characters, and a family vibe that felt real. I’m hooked. Bring on the rest of the series.
Yessssss with all this 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️… I had me a good time honey!!! I ate this book right on up!!!
Sarai is every bit of a boss and Khyri is as well! They were perfect together! I’m so glad Sarai did not just deal with what Khyri wanted and stood ten toes down on what she believed.
Now the plot twist got me! I wasn’t expecting that, I had to call my girl like wth!!!
I want to be someone’s butterfly now..🥰🥰🥰
We need Kinsley exit stage left quickly and I can’t wait to see what Darian is up to in his book cause that fool had me cackling in his book.
"Everything about you is my business, and I'm gon' run that shit like a Fortune 500 company, Butterfly." -Khyri Hamilton
Khyri Hamilton and Sarai King brought it in this book, and I ate it up! What do you get when you have two successful CEOs of competing resorts, who are strong-willed, competitive, and love having control? A proposition and a 7-day contract... I loved the cat and mouse energy between Khyri and Sarai. Khyri and Sarai had a secret situation going on, and it worked until she needed more, and decided to end it before getting hurt. Sarai is exactly the type of FMC I love, she knew exactly what she wanted and what she deserved and was willing to walk away for her own happiness. Khyri is the definition of BDE, and even though it took a proposition, for him to finally come to terms with his feelings a see that they could be great together, it was so worth it in the end. Once they got together, they wasted no time, and I loved the moments and dates that we got to witness. I could feel their chemistry from the beginning to the end, and the SPICE in this book, whew, was spicing 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. I messed up by reading some of this at work and had me googling resorts that offer amenities like the Velvet room, lol!
Let's talk about the twist, I was not expecting something like that at all. I will admit I hoped that Khyri would have changed his mind about the situation, but I also understand where he was coming from. This was such a good and enjoyable read (in more ways than one). The King family is really something else, and now I'm patiently waiting for Darien's story, I need to know what is in the envelope 👀.
" I had never met a woman who could take d**k like a slut, handle business like a boss, and lay down the law like a woman with class." She was everything in such a delicious package that even when I didn't want to commit, I knew I couldn't let her slip between my fingers." -Khyri Hamilton
Let’s just say this one opens up with a GOODT bang (pun untended 😏). Honey the way Khryi and Sarai was getting it in had ya girl HOT; I mean y’all know I love me some good spice, but this was that Carolina Reaper Pepper 🌶️ hot, and I was here for it all! Now I knew from King’s Distraction that Sarai was gonna have us on our toes with whatever was going down at resort, but when we get to see all her resort offers, let’s just say I was trying to figure out how I could get there in real life; I mean I still am, but you get what I’m trying to say 😂
We’re left off in King’s Distraction with Sarai leaving the family dinner after getting news of someone out bidding her mom for the property. Who would’ve guessed it was Butterfly’s - excuse me, Sarai’s side piece. Well I mean you can’t really consider Khyri a side piece of anything because the way that man was slanging pipe, he commanded all of her attention. However, Sarai knows that she deserves much more than what she’s getting and is willing to make a proposition of getting what she wants.
Khryi is a competitive man, that has been heartbroken before and doesn’t want that cycle to happen again, so he tries to keep Sarai at arms length, even though he can sense that she wants more than he is willing to give. But how do you keep the one person that brings you that feeling of home at arm’s length? I’ll tell you how, you sign your name on the dotted line with the proposition Sarai sets up, but it’s so much more harder than it seems.
The plot twist… chileeee let’s just say my mouth is STILL on the floor, because I would have NEVER guessed that was coming!
I can’t wait to see what Darian got coming up, because the man is a fool 😂😂
I absolutely loved how Khyri and Sarai connected! Their chemistry was amazing, and they just clicked, even though Khyri tried to deny it at first. Sarai’s straightforward attitude was a standout. My favorite part was when she left Khyri at the Velvet – I was rooting for her all the way! 😂 She knew she wanted a real relationship with Khyri and wasn't going to settle for less. Her bold move was next level, and even though Khyri had his doubts, he couldn't say no. It was so great to see him finally realize their potential and become the couple Sarai always knew they could be. Sarai is such a boss – I absolutely adore her!
This was a wild ride! I did not expect everything I read between these pages. Iesha unlocked an intensity of intimacy with this one. And that plot twist! Totally left field and unexpected! A great read that I can’t wait for y’all to dive into. Look out for the drop January 15, 2024!
I really enjoyed this entry, but not as much as the first one. Sarai is a great character and the relationship (and spice) between her and Khyri was great. While I did enjoy each character's separate story, I did think the complex backstory that Khyri was given was brushed over to wrap everything up.
I enjoyed this installment a lot more than the first book in this series. The chemistry between the leads was definitely hot and spicy. The family dynamics in this story was also more interesting. I feel more confident after reading this one that the next story will also be entertaining.
Whewwwww 🥵🥵🥵😊☺️ this one was spicy in the best way!!! Iesha did her big one with Khyri Hamilton and Sarai King, I loved both of them equally.
Sarai and Khyri may be competitors by day, but by night, they know each other way more intimately 😉. When Sarai starts to want more than Khyri is willing to offer, she steps away. Only problem is Khyri wasn’t ready to let her go completely. He’s convinced that he can get Sarai to see things his way. But he doesn’t understand how determined Sarai is about not settling.
My girl Sarai King is a Boss, and my girl owns every rooms she walks in she wasn’t playing with Khyri ass at all, had that man in all kinds of uncompromising positions 🤣🤣.
Khyri is the walking definition of BDE, but he’s also a complex man who had been dealt a pretty hard life as a kid and that shaped his view on love and allowing people in. But once he got out of his own way, he wasn’t coming off Sarai. But that plot twist had me like 🤯🤯, IKYFL.
Some of my favorite parts: 1. Sarai and Khyri in the velvet room, she left my boy with his 🍆 out 🤣 2. Khyri popping up on the girls at the pool! That date 🥰 3. The King siblings! I love them all, especially that damn Dorian 😂
But I need Kinsley to leave that trash ass husband like yesterday, and why Zeno and Dorian ain’t beat his ass yet?!
This is my favorite book I repeat this is my favorite book... I already knew I was gonna like Sarai and Khyri... The setup of this book was done so well the roll out and everything like the marketing A1A1... I just can't wait to get my hand on the physical copy and the Tumblr and s*** the shirts.. I'm a tell you all right now if you have not tapped into this story or tapped into this series you are doing yourself a freaking disservice, Miss Bree is bringing the spice she's bringing the plot she's bringing the enjoyment... From the beginning to the middle to the end of the little plot twist I was given everything and more and it was well worth the wait for this book I can not wait for Darien story because baby is a mess he is comic relief but I know it's about to be good. Also miss Bree don't think I didn't see that little tidbit about Zeno and Ayasha and the little wedding announcement you try to tell me something... Overall this book was a 100% a 1000% phenomenally perfect 5 star on everything.
Can I just say that Khyri and Sarai were so on 🔥🔥🔥 for each other? Their chemistry, banter and passion were so on point. I just loved Sarai and her take no mess attitude. I knew when she stormed out of the family dinner in Book 1 that she had something for Khyri and did. The scene where she turned the tables on him when they were at Velvet was such a boss move and one of my favorite parts of the book. I was cheering her on in my mind. 😂 She knew that she wanted a relationship with Khyri and wasn't settling for less. The proposition that she put forth to him was next level and it was one that he didn't refuse even though he had his doubts. I was glad when he finally came around and they became what Sarai knew they could be all along. I also loved Sarai's friends and hope they will be featured in their own books down the line. I can't wait for Darian's and Zarah's books because I know Darian is going to keep us laughing and Zarah's trifling husband will finally be dealt with. Great book in this great series!!!
I should know by now not to be surprised by what Iesha Bree gives me, but her writing still catches me slipping every time! OMG, she ain’t have to do me like this 😫 I know we are just starting this series as this is only book two; however, I have been anticipating Sarai’s story, and my girl did not let me down with her kinky behind 😏. I don’t think there was anyone more suited for her than Khyri because he kept her singing and belting out exquisite notes high into the rafters 😝 Although this was a sexy book, it was also so much more. The major curveball Iesha Bree threw at me in this book still has me wondering if anybody else felt that out-of-body experience! These books are about family and finding your own space outside the family, and I truly enjoyed Sarai and Khyri’s journey. This storyline was everything, the dialogue was everything, reconnecting and meeting new characters was… again… Everything! Sis did her thing yet again. Darian is up next, and I know with his mouth and mannish ways, his book will be an experience! Iesha Bree is and will always be a favorite author for me, and after reading this book, there’s no wonder why!
Sarai and Khyri were HOT! Their chemistry was off the charts from the first page. I like how Sarai stood firm (sort of) in her beliefs on commitment, but I didn’t like that she had to basically coerce Khyri into seeing how great of a match they were. Luckily he figured it out because I was like sir, you’re a great catch but stop playing with my girl. When the reasoning for his hesitancy came out, I understood him more because it was a tough pill to swallow. I was happy to see how once they solidified their relationship that it was full steam ahead. Their drama wasn’t your typical crazy ex drama either, and I I enjoyed it so much. Sarai and Khyri leaned into one another and it ends in bliss.
Bring on Baby Bro Darian….I already know I’m going to get a good laugh.
This book was phenomenal and spicy! I honestly believe it was Iesha Bree’s best work yet and that’s saying a lot because she doesn’t miss.
The story started off immediately with the spice but the story line as a whole was even better! There was some shocking surprises and secrets revealed but it made the story even better.
The FMC Sarai was a boss and I loved her personality so much because she was assertive in the best way!
KHYRI gave off the best BDE and could back it up ten times over. He’s now my favorite MMC Iesha has written that I’ve read about.
There was some minor spelling/grammatical errors (less than 5 maybe) and a timeline error, but this still did not take away from the greatness of the storyline.
I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I loved the growth I saw with the writing of this book from the last one. Sarai and Khyri were made for each other and it took Sarai putting her foot down and giving him a proposition he couldn’t refuse to get him to see what could be. I loved the way they loved on each other and their chemistry and connection was unmatched. So far this is my favorite book of the series and I’m looking forward to getting more from this family. I also loved the cover and the promotion for this series. It was enough to draw me in and make me want to read this series.
When a rich man wants you they’ll do anything! Even buy a prospective property from under your family’s nose just to get your attention.
Khyri Hamilton and Sarai King had me blushing, kicking my feet and giggling the whole book. Iesha really took her time and wrote these characters with passion We have Sarai who doesn’t want to settle for what she deserves and we have Khyri who believes that where they are is just fine.
Khyri thought he knew what he wanted and needed, Sarai wanted to show him what he was missing and in the end Khyri finally understood.
First off, that playlist!!!! 🤯 it is PERFECT! This has been a thrill since before the release. I’m honestly looking forward to Kinsley’s book because there’s way more going on over there! I’m wondering what you’re going to do with Darian???
I loved that you made Sarai so strong & straightforward with no regrets. Khyri has had my heart from the beginning. The way you painted his feelings without giving it away too soon was great! The setting, let’s just say, they need more places like this! Great read overall!
Sarai the freak.... Then here comes Khyri a freak too, he was afraid to love because he lost his mom and felt that he couldn't love a woman whole hearted but hey here comes Sarai and all of that went out the door. He's taking care of sister and who comes from the dead..... their mom so now he have to deal with this, so glad he let love take over and Kevin got what he deserved and Sarai was able to let her family the whole truth. Great Book now let's see what Baby Boy has for us 😀
Never Stop Believing In What You Know Is Your Truth!
Iesha Bree, this series is so good in my opinion. Sometimes we don't know why a person acts as they are. Khyri and Sarai, didn't understand the assignment at first but baby to see the strong will Sarai has and to Ser Khyri understand what he had was so good.To see how a family rides for each other is amazing. Can't wait to see the next read🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ohhh weee!! Sarai and Khyri did not disappoint! Book 2 definitely turned up the heat index by a thousand !! Sarai and Khyri have a good thing going on. Sarai wants to take the the next level, Khyri is happy where things are. Sarai decides she want out ! Khyri either has to step it up or step off!! Baby these two were something else! I loved every moment of this his book!! So very sexy and sweet !
Sarai knew what she wanted and although she enjoyed their time she knew she deserved more. Khyri seemed to like/love her to the best of his ability but they found themselves at a crossroads. The siblings keep everything interesting💜 and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Can I meet Khyri in the purple room we don’t have to let Sarai know. She was tired of him running scared to so presented him with a proposition he didn’t know he needed. I loved the dynamics of the relationship they had and he stood on big business when it can to handling business. I can’t wait for book 3 to see when Darian crazy ass got going on.🔥🔥🔥🔥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this story, I can’t say which book was better, both were fantastic, I can’t wait to read book three I know it is going to be just as great, If you haven’t read the king series or any of Iesha Bree books, you should start today reading one of her books, you won’t regret it.
In “King’s Proposition,” the stakes are high and the tension is palpable. Iesha Bree weaves a scorching tale of rivalry and desire between Sarai King and Khyri Hamilton, where business clashes with pleasure in a battle for dominance and passion. The dance of power and seduction between Sarai and Khyri is nothing short of electric. With every week of fantasy they share, the lines of their battle blur, turning their fiery encounters into a game of wits and wills. As CEO by day and a fervent lover by night, Khyri is a man of promises, but Sarai has a few tricks up her sleeve that could shift the balance of power. This second book in the series ramps up the heat, delivering a story that’s not only spicy but also layered with surprises that will leave readers wide-eyed. A perfect blend of sizzling romance and shocking twists makes “King’s Proposition” a juicy must-read.
I was in shock that Sarai was in the space she was in. Khyri was just as strange in personality as Sarai was. I thought I would be bored but this was just as interesting as #1. Ryan and Khyri’s mom was beyond my imagination. That was a good distraction. Great book.
Not bad! “Kings Proposition (King Dynasty Series - Book 2)” was a good read. However, the majority of Sarai & Khyari’s interaction/escapades was somewhat freskalicious. Not exactly sure when the “lovebug” these two bit 🤷🏾♀️? Nonetheless, the real surprised, was the blast from the past 😲🤯‼️I wasn't expecting that curve ball. …Two books down & two books 📚remaining
I’m not connecting with this series. All the ingredients for a good story is here, yet something isn’t connecting for me.
After 60-65% I started skimming to push through. I’m thinking my feelings about the remaining stories won’t be different. Especially because so far all of the synopsis’ are interesting, but the stories haven’t hit for me.
This book definitely brought so much entertainment like from beginning to end I was laughing at the different shenanigans. I really enjoyed the whole series and I’m looking forward to the next book
