This book was so different from anything I’ve ever read and I loved every second of it. Dark, strange, atmospheric and somehow still incredibly tender. It pulls you in immediately and I loved every second of it.

It unfolds slowly and I kept trying to piece it together and just when I thought I figured it out, the truth still blindsided me.

Lola’s writing is so immersive it feels like you’re living inside the story. Every scene is layered with mood and intention and the vibes are just immaculate. 11/10

Katla made me feel everything!!! She’s strong in a raw, deeply human way and I couldn’t help but ache for her while also being in awe of her. She is so incredibly strong I loved her. Truly.

Where do I get myself a Haakon??? Protective, patient, caring but dark and ughhh. He just feels… safe. And there’s soo much beneath the surface. He has my heart.

Forever thinking about the two of them.
