This one was tough for me, I liked Maddie, but Romeo turned me off from the start and never really changed. The way he was about women was so bad. I even hated how he interacted with Magnum. I get Romeo was the President, but he was disrespectful to Magnum. It wasn't much better with Maddie, even at then end, there weren't any (or very few) words of love, when he was trying to convince her to be his. Even when dealing with Maddie's POS of a boss, he didn't listen to her. And if I'm honest, I loved what Karma came from that. By the end, I was glad to be done with the book, still think Maddie could have done better though.

I love reading JSJ's books. Always entertaining and engaging, but I have to admit I absolutely disliked Romeo through 99% of this book. He was in previous books an egotistical, womanizer, and this book was no exception. While once he connected again with Maddie, he didn't cheat, the attitude was always upfront throughout the book. He really couldn't be considered a deep, forward thinker by any stretch of your imagination, personally or even with the heading the DK's. I really don't understand why he was the MC Prez, because he didn't seem to have much control or respect from the Club.
While Maddie seemed to be a strong, independent woman, her single mindedness seemed to land her in an unhappy situation. While the initial attraction between the two can be imagined, the connection outside of the bedroom was never explored, therefore non-existant and unbelievable.
Hopefully the next book will have more well rounded characters for the reader to connect with.
Read this via Kindle Unlimited, but don't consider it a waste of my time.

Sooo I usually really enjoy this author's books, however I struggled with this one. Romeo was just awful, he had no respect for his club, women, even himself. His arrogance was so bad, considering himself king without any regard for anyone or anything else.
I think the biggest problem with this book is there was very little plot until two thirds through. I consists mainly of sex between Maddie and Rome, or his thoughts on how he should be having sex.
An okay read just not as good as previous books.

Average at best

Couldn’t warm to this book at all. Romeo was full of himself with no justification and while Maddie started off as a strong character she just wilted away over the course of the story. Storyline was average with no substance and rather boring. Not a book for me I’m afraid. The book didn’t make me want to read anything else in the series or the crossover stories.

Oh my gosh! I knew when we were introduced to Romeo, and given little tidbits about him in previous books, that I was going to like him. I don’t think I ever imagined liking him as much as I did though! This man is so full of himself that he shouldn’t be as likable as he is, but you really can’t help liking him. Maybe because even as puffed up with himself as he is, he’s also really funny and can take a direct hit to the ego without falling to pieces. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the stuff that he was thinking and saying. I liked young Maddie when we met her in Shade’s book but I love older Maddie. Her sass and mouth definitely keep Romeo on his toes and he needs someone like that to keep him humble…well at least a little humble. This book is funny and sexy and thrilling and absolutely amazing. We’re introduced to new characters that need their stories told and we get to visit with old friends…always a plus.

If Romeo is your first Jeanne St. James book you’ll realize fairly quickly that the woman can definitely write a compelling story. I guess that it could also be a standalone book but in my opinion…nah it can’t. These books are so intertwined with each other. I’m one of those people who loves a great book series but hates when they end, it’s like having an old friend move far away never to be seen again…just sad. Ms. St. James introduces us to a group, say the Dirty Angels MC and we meet all those folks and then they branch over and become friends with Blood Fury MC and those guys are exciting and in the midst of all these meet and greets we get In The Shadows Security and the Blue Avengers MC cause we love all the bonding and excitement that these guys get into. If you only read Romeo then you miss out on one of my favorite Dirty Angels, Dawg…swoon…who has a daughter who ends up marrying, Magnum…another favorite…the Sergeant at Arms for the Dark Knights MC. You also miss teenage Maddie when her mom marries Shade…yep, another favorite…in the Blood Fury series…see intertwined, and that’s just a little bitty bit of all the crossing overs. You definitely shortchange yourself if you don’t read every single book. I promise it makes each new story even better because you’ll know the whole cast of characters…and probably their dad and mom and cousin and…well you get my meaning…they’re worth your time.

Romeo
Series: Blood & Bones: Blood Fury MC Series, Book 13
By: Jeanne St. James
Narrated by: Ava Lucas, Sean Crisden

There is nothing better than a good crossover novel, and Jeanne St James is a master at mixing the MC clubs! This one proves to be one of her best with Romeo, the president of the Dark Knights MC! He is going to live his life as a bachelor. No interest in settling down. Meeting Maddie was a life changing experience. She is the stepdaughter of Shade, one of the most dangerous Blood Fury members, and after a night with him, left and didn't look back. But now she's back and he's making his move. Living up to his name, one more night would be the answer to his fascination. Or would it? St James had me from the first chapter, hot and heavy, and then the heart that he has. Maddie is a strong woman, knows what she wants, and thinks she knows how to get it. Is Romeo part of her plan? A thread of suspense that had me on edge, and surprised! And a budding love that blooms. Love the interaction between the clubs, it's definitely exciting and even had me wondering how it would all turn out! Loved this!

Ava Lucas and Sean Crisden are the story tellers and WOW..just WOW. Lucas is so good, she is young, then matures her voice, finds the essence that is Maddie and creates the strong woman that she is. Crisden is Romeo, and his voice is Romeo. A bit gruff, a bit sweet, and so protective, each nuance coming through and making the layers that are Romeo. Loved these two together, they know how to make a story flow and captivating.

I usually really enjoy Jeanne's books - especially her MC world, but this one... This one wasn't for me. And I was really excited when she first announced Romeo will be getting one.

SPOILERS!

It felt like no one had any respect for our main guy, especially members of his own club cough Magnum cough. I can't imagine anyone treating Zak or Trip this way, but then again Romeo didn't really act like a president either...

Another thing I didn't like was that nothing happened in this book...? Only towards the end there was a bit of action, but other than that it was just Rome and Maddie having sex, Romeo drinking whiskey, Romeo telling us how much he likes pussy and Maddie complaining about her (mafia lol) boss... And don't get me wrong I usually don't mind sex scenes, but I also need other things happening in between...

I also didn't like Maddie. Maybe that's why I didn't enjoy it as much? I just don't believe she loves Romeo (or that he loves her)... There was nothing that showed there were any other feelings involved, only lust...

As I mentioned at the beginning, I usually really like this authors books, so not sure what happened this time... Still 3 stars, because it's not horrible and I know a lot of people really liked it.

On that note, I'm really excited to read about next gen! Zeke.... I just know he's going to be trouble!

Romeo is president of Dark Knights MC with a reputation that goes with his name. He is attracted to a women who is the stepdaughter of someone in an allied MC. When these two get together the suspense, danger, anticipation and lets not forget the chemistry is out of this world. They both want to keep their relationship a secret and that secret will just increase the danger in so many different ways especially if her stepfather finds out.
Romeo has so many different sides and they were all fascinating and sometimes pulled at your heart. It was nice to see him meet his match. It was so hard to put this book down once you start it. I have been waiting for Romeo's story since we first read about him and this story was everything I could have imagined and more. What can I say about the step-father. I loved his book and I love him in Romeo's story, some parts were so funny.
Jeanne has a way with words that just draw you in and you are thoroughly captivated. This is one of my favorites and will be on my re-read list! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
I received an issue of this book which I voluntarily read and evaluated; all opinions expressed are my own.

This book is AMAZING
If you haven’t read the complete series, you will want to read it. This is a crossover between three MC worlds. It can be read as a stand alone, BUT so much better if you have read the previous books. To know what certain characters are capable of will have you cringing for a certain person.
Maddie is bad ass! She’s tough, independent, doesn’t back down. Her comments and jokes will have you laughing and cheering!
Romeo had always lived up to his road name. One night and he’s done. Dip and dash. He had never been challenged by a woman until Maddie. He’s never had to be on the other side of his infamous dip and dash.
Their banter throughout this book is so entertaining. Their chemistry is off the charts. It’s not a smooth ride at all. So many things are stacked against Rome, and he’s dealing with emotions he’s never felt before.
In true Jeanne St. James fashion, she will grab you and bring you right into their world. Her MC writing is one of the best. This made me want to go back to the very beginning and start the series again! I need way more than 5 stars for this one.

Romeo is the young (35-year-old) president of the Dark Knight's MC. His name was earned as a teenager and is still an apt moniker. He loves the ladies and easily charms them, then sends them away. Years ago he happily did a favor for Maddie, stepdaughter of Slade the manager of the pet crematorium/cemetery owned by the Blood Fury MC. During a gathering for a BFMC wedding, he punched her Virgen Card and nobody was wiser except for Madison herself. Now, after years of schooling, she's working as a physical therapist in Pittsburg near Dark Knight territory. And Romeo recognizes her at Bangin' Burgers and is shocked to find out he's the only brother in DKMC and DAMC that didn't know she was living in the area. They didn't trust him to not take advantage of her. Well, he certainly won't say 'no' when she comes to him for relief from the awful stress her boss causes. When she doesn't wait to be sent away, Romeo finds he wants more of Maddie. A great plot develops as always with this author's work. Recommended.

PHENOMENALLY great read!!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!!
I have been waiting for this book and it was everything I hoped for x 1000.

Where do I start? Romeo is just as hilariously ridiculous as he has been in previous book. We also get to learn more about the playboy President of the Dark Knights MC. Underneath all that exterior lies a heart that is golden, kind and loving.

Maddie is one the absolute best heroines Jeanne St James has written - and THAT is saying something. She is strong, smart and suffers no fools. She’s also feminine and has a heart that needs someone to hold dear. She is AMAZING.

We also get to visit with some old friends who we all love. I squealed & kicked my feet like a little kid during those parts. You will absolutely laugh throughout the book.
We also get the action, drama, mystery and intrigue we know surrounds these MCs. And we get a peek at the upcoming 2nd generation- which I am absolutely thrilled about.

I cannot say enough about how darn GREAT this book is. I wish I could leave it the 100 stars it deserves.

oh that Romeo

Romeo is the President of the Dark Knights. He earned his biker name due to his reputation. Out of all the females that could have caught his eye, it was Maddie— Shade’s step daughter. Romeo is not like the Zak or Trip (Presidents of the Dirty Angeles and Blood Fury MC). What you read is what you get. He is act first, wont really apologize later type of guy. Maddie catches his eye at a wedding between the three MCs. They spent the night together the. She ghosted him and they don’t see each other for five years. Maddie grows up and gets her sports physical therapist license and hope to work with the professional teams one day. Romeo spots her having dinner at a local burger place and here starts the second chance for the two. There is a lot of banter. I haven’t read a MC book in a while so it took a chapter to get used to the lingo. Once it did, reading was like being back in Manning Grove. I enjoyed reading some of the characters from the other series. This book made me miss all the characters from the previous series.

This was so entertaining from start to finish! Maddie gives Romeo a run for his money and it was delightful to see. She has the MC prez so turned around, he doesn't even realize what is happening. He is so captivated by her, even while knowing that he is definitely playing with fire getting close to Blood Fury property. He has never wanted an old lady but he can't stop thinking about the curvy beauty. She is just as stubborn as he is and when they get together it is pure fireworks! She doesn't want a biker for the long term, she just wants to take him for a spin when she needs to forget about her stressful job. She can't figure out why she is so drawn to the swaggering man that got his road name so very honestly. She has her dreams to focus on and a possessive, growly biker is not on her agenda. Romeo is definitely the embodiment of the bigger they are the harder they fall!

There’s nothing I love better than a reformed rake and a second chance love story. Romeo and Maddie had immediate chemical early on but the timing was wrong and each needed time to grow up. A few years pass and Maddie and Romeo accidentally meet up again at Bangin’ Burgers and sparks fly. I loved these two. Maddie’s a physical therapist trying to break into a major sports franchise and isn’t looking for anything other than stress relief. Romeo, as his name implies, seems like the person solution, only he keeps having these feelings and feeling possessive of her. Romeo’s conversion to monogamist bad-a?$ is amazingly well done. I had a goofy grin on my face the entire time I had about his capitulation into love. No cheating, Romeo only has eyes for Maddie, even he can’t believe it.

Romeo is aware of his appeal to women however he has ensured that his interactions with them don’t last for more than one night which allows him to focus on the MC of which he is the President. When he realizes that Maddie is closer than he thought he begins to wonder if one night was enough.

Maddie is feisty and isn’t about to have her career plans waylaid by being distracted by any man but especially one like Roman, but a little fun might be just what she needs if she can get him to agree as long as her stepfather and the Blood Fury MC don’t find out.

The banter between them as well as the rest of the characters was riveting and the chemistry undeniable as Romeo proves how possessive and protective he can be when it comes to the right woman.

Romeo gets an ol' lady

I was eagerly awaiting this release, and enjoyed this couple.

Maddie is quite a strong willed woman, who knows what she wants. She's not expecting Romeo (who is not interested in a commitment) to actually catch feelings.

While this couple seems like a mismatch, she is actually the best person for him. The chemistry between these two is nuclear level hot. I was a bit frustrated with some of his headstrong choices and self-centered decisions, but things eventually go his way.

It's best to be well versed in all the connections between these MCs, because your experience with this read will be better.

I look forward to the next new release from this talented author.

A good match for Madison and Romeo

This is great addition to the Dark Knights and Fury MC series. This book features a grown up Madison and college graduate looking to be a physical therapist to a major sports team. Maddie is struggling because her jerk of a boss is making her work life unbearable. Romeo is the President of the Dark Knights. He is getting bored with the sweet butts and hang arounds, but not really understanding why. Then Romeo and Maddie ran into each other at a local burger joint and those feels from a few years ago are back. There is a happy ending and this is definitely an enjoyable story with lots of laughs and banter between our stubborn main characters. Read On!

As i read Romeo, i have decided im gonna have to add him to my list for Book Boyfriends. From the very beginning i was hooked, mainly because i knew this was a crossover but i was unsure of who the female was going to be. Once i found out, i was like oh shit, because i knew that was a very very bad hookup.
I stayed hooked on this book thru the entire thing. It was like i checked out of all my responsibilities until i finished this book. This deserves way more than 5 stars. The spicy story between Romeo an his counterpart will keep you on the edge of your seat. Theres nothing more exciting than a hot romance that is liable to get some killed

I loved this book so much! Romeo and Maddie’s story was so good! It grabbed me from the first page! I read it in one sitting. I stayed up very late because I couldn’t stop reading! Watching Romeo and Mattie interact with each other was very entertaining. Neither one of them wants a relationship, but sometimes you find what you didn’t know you wanted. With amazing characters, a fantastic storyline filled with emotions, humor, some action and hot, steamy sexiness you get one fantastic MC crossover romance! Once again Jeanne has outdone herself with Romeo! I can’t wait to see what she gives us next!

no more dip and dash

WOW!!!  The wait was so worth the wait.
Was not disappointed at all.
Jeanne St James knocked this one out of the park.
Loved watching the intense feelings develop between Romeo and Maddie even if they could not see or feel it themselves for a while.
They were definitely made for each other.
Romeo needed a strong and independent woman who could handle the MC life and Maddie needed a man strong enough to allow her to speak her mind and continue to have her independence.
Loved this entire series and can not wait to see what is next on the list of fantastic reads from a phenomenal author.

Jeanne St. James is always a go to author of mine and I was super excited to pick up her new release Romeo!

I enjoyed getting snippets of Romeo in other books and could not wait for the female who was going to put him in his place.

With a road name like Romeo you know there was going to be some problems with him getting his woman. Jeanne St. James did it right by pairing Romeo with the sassy Maddie. I love how she would not take any of his shit and gave it right back when justified.

I cannot wait to see what comes next from her because she always leaves me captivated and hooked with her writing!

Such a good story!

To say this is a good story is not doing justice to just how well written the book is. Jeanne St. James is a master storyteller. This book is about Romeo, the president of the Dark Knights motorcycle club, and Maddie, who is the "property" of the Blood Fury motorcycle club. Romeo is known for using women and his plan is to do the same with Maddie but there is something about her that he just can't quit. Their relationship is a very passionate steamy one. There is angst and an underlying threat should anyone find out about them. This book is a page turner that I could not put down; I willingly gave up sleep to finish it.

First, this is a stand alone. It is not necessary to read any of the other characters’ stories but it’s so much better if you do.
Second, I’ve been waiting for Romeo to find his perfect match. And boy did he ever.
Romeo prides himself on being free. Free to do whatever and who ever he wants. Until her. She is someone he can’t forget. And doesn’t want to. This is of course a problem for who he is and who she is. More importantly who her family is.
I absolutely loved how Romeo showed in his twisted way how he feels about her. This story couldn’t have been more perfect.

I loved Maddie for Romeo and how the author brought them together. They had one steamy unforgettable night together and finding each other years later has these two in a secret romance. Packed with passion, danger, MC drama, angst, unexpected twists, humor, and so much more make this a fabulous addition to the series. Romeo is book thirteen in the series and although it can be read as a standalone I recommend you start this series from book one. The writing is well done, the characters are captivating, and once again Jeanne St. James proves she is the Queen of MC.

Romeo is the president of his club. He got his name by being a ladies man. When he goes to his alliance clubhouse he meets Maddie. Daughter to blood fury member. So yeah she off limits. Well Romeo being Romeo he always gets what he wants, and he wants her bad. They share an incredible night together and move on. Years later they meet by accident. Now they are living dangerous Waithing to get caught. When Romeo thinks he’s going something good. His world comes crashing down. Now it’s up to him to fix it. Walk away alive or fight for her and die.

who knew..Romeo !

Who knew Romeo had it in him?! This was typical Jeanne St James writing, five star! Love we get to see some old favorites, loved how all the clubs knew exactly how tough and protective Shade is. Romeo had some laugh out loud comments that were unexpected. I love how even the toughest of the bikers fall when the right woman comes around. Maddie was his perfect match, calling him on his bs and not letting him blind her! This will be one that I read over many times!

I'm not afraid to admit Romeo was NOT my favorite character. When he popped up in the other reads I just thought and still do think he was arrogant. He did manage to redeem himself but not 100%. I guess he won over Maddie or was it her that won over Romeo. I like to think she was the one who won him over. The funniest part of the read was when Shade grabbed Romeo after he was beaten up badly and took him to his "Dog Furnace" LOL OMG. I knew Shade wasn't going to cook him but still scared him straight sort of.

This book is like combining the beat of three MC and wrapping them all up in one story. Love knows know bounds so when Romeo and Maddie go from a one night filled with incredible passion to an everlasting connection even brotherhood cannot defeat. With wonderful characters and a storyline filled with emotion, humor and angst this was a great crossover that proves once again that Jeanne St. James never disappoints.

Romeo’s name precedes him and not in the best way. He loves all women and in the end, he’s come to realize there is only one for him. The attraction and spark between them is off the charts hot. I loved the banter, humor, it was action packed and with a few twists added to keep you on the edge of your seat. Romeo is considered a dog, but will the woman in his life be able to tame him? I guess you will have to read to find out.
