After a night-shift shooting of a drug dealer in The Coffee Cave, twelve strangers each walk out with more than $100,000 in dirty money, a pact never to meet again, and the chance to start over…

Until that night, Sasha "Sugar" Kovac spent her days selling coffee to the co-eds at ASU Rio Verde and her nights trying not to run back to her ex… or join the throngs of girls lusting after her friend, Adam.

But why should Sugar give in to the Harley-riding tattoo artist when his longest relationships haven't lasted more than a weekend?

Sugar's life takes a turn for the dangerous when someone comes looking for the people connected to the Cave shooting and the cash they split. To protect herself and those she cares about, Sugar has to get out of town–and fast. When Adam insists on coming with her, Sugar finds herself holed up in a tiny house with a hot man, a stash of cash, and a lot of secrets.

Can Sugar protect both her life and her heart when temptation is so close? Or is the past she's fled going to catch up with her?

This book looked unique and I was hoping it might be what I needed to get me out of my book funk. It so was not!

So far all I've gotten is the heroine lusting after the hero (who hasn't really played a huge role in the story so far), witnessing a drug dealer's murder, taking off with $100,000 and bags of cocaine, snorting the cocaine with her druggie ex-boyfriend, then having rough sex with him, which I so did not want to read. By this point I was done. This book may work for others but it did not work for me.

In the beginning was death and drugs, but in the end was love and adventure.

It all started with one horrible night, a night that would change the fate of twelve people, who made a pact never to meet or speak to each other again. Their one chance at a new beginning a new life, no one will ever know, no one will ever find out, right?!?
The body, the blood, the car, the drugs, and the money were all gone. And we were all a part of it.

Sugar knew better than to run back to her ex, but he has the connections to get what she needed and maybe just maybe she has a chance to not only save herself but him as well. If only she loved him as much as he loved her, she doesn’t like the person she is when she is with him, but what choice does she have, the one man she wants is the one man she can’t have, Adam, her ex’s cousin. Adam is the Harley-riding tattoo artist, who is also her best friend, always there when she needed him and helped her get her life back on track.
Adam was a fantasy, the man I pictured when I allowed myself to dream of the happily ever after I’d never get. I settled for calling him my friend, and being the eager recipient of his smiles and confidences.

When her plans turn to shit, she has no choice but to run and as much as she wants to be alone, Adam isn’t willing to let her slip away especially when he has the skills to help her disappear. Unwilling to see the man who wants her for more than a friend, she fights the attraction to him, but on the run and alone with him in a cabin, a girl only has so much will-power.

Unfiltered & Unlawful was an okay thrill ride for me, the plot sounded interesting and is what initially drew me in, but I personally couldn’t get into it as much as I wanted to, no matter how many times I reminded myself it was fiction. Adam was a walking fantasy, but I felt like there was so much more to him then we got to see and judging from the book I don’t think we ever will. Sugar was a mess, trying to make the best of it, she was broken and alone and kept on going back and doing things she knows isn’t good for her. The next book in the series follows another one of the twelve in the story, so for the most part Sugar’s story is done for now. Maybe we will get more later on, or at least I hope we will, I had a lot of questions left unanswered.

This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books.

It seems that lately I have no luck with Arcs. This is another one whose blurb suggested that it could be my potential favorite read, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Just like with the arc before- The Darkest Joy by Marata Eros, I think that the authors have potential, the writing style was good, but I just couldn't connect to the story or its characters.

~ The biggest reasons behind my low rating:

1. The Plot

There were just too many loopholes that made me eye-roll. The biggest of them is definitely revolving around that night of murder and the way things developed after that. Seven strangers to react *that way* after everything what happened, especially after we read their backgrounds seemed highly unrealistic, immature and above all profoundly stupid.

2. The main female character

Stupidity, naivety, weak & shallow personality...The girl has them all and it was just impossible for me to like her. She is a on-and-off drug addict with shady past and turbulent on-and-off relationship also with a drug-dealer/addict who is trying to get better at the beginning of the book, but keeps on failing. Sorry, but the author didn't give me good enough reason to feel any sympathy towards her.

3. The main male character

"Adam Bradbery was six feet of taut muscle and gorgeous ink.
With his smoothly-shaved head and five o'clock shadow, he was the kind of guy who looked like he'd have nothing but bad habits, but he was actually a bit of a food purist and health fiend."

But what they forgot to mention is that he is a big wuss! I will never understand what could possibly a guy like him see in a girl like her. The girl does everything in her power to make him not like her at least in a romantic way, but no, he keeps on pinning after her no matter what. He seemed more of a girl in their relationship with his behavior than the girl herself. Not to mention that that drug dealer with whom she is having on & off relationship is his very own cousin whom he is supposedly following around and taking care of, because he promised it to his mother. Oh, phlease...Enough with the soap opera already!

In my opinion, the authors took a big risk by writing about this type of shady MCs and while that wasn't a problem to me in lot of other books, some of which are on my favorite list, it just didn't work for me in this book.

I’m so torn on this review... so I will try and give it to you straight.

At first I wasn’t so sure about the premise of this book but I figured what the hell and dove in. The subject of this book in the beginning is dark: drugs, murder and addiction. As the story progresses it becomes less heavy and more romantic- it transforms into a story about love, trust and survival.

This book is hot. It’s fast paced and an easy read. I enjoyed the characters (Sexy Bad-Boy Tattoo Artist) and wanted to know more about their history. It's an interesting story and allows for multiple novellas for each party involved. I am curious about how it will all end…

I didn’t want to put the book down and was licking up the scenes with sexy Adam… (as you can see from my status updates below). Then by 72% I knew something was going to happen... I assumed it was going to be a cliff hanger. I was wrong. The story was quickly wrapped up. Wait, what!? To make matters worse, it looks as though the next book deals with other characters. Double, WHAT? I felt like the last few pages of the book were rushed and tied up too quickly.

I’m going to hold on to hope that Sasha and Adam’s story is simply put on hold and we’ll get back to them in another book. Or that we get to hear about them in the next book, maybe? Alas, the ending... totally rattled me. I feel a bit letdown and cheated.

This is not a light-hearted romance story by any means, so be warned that you need to go into this one prepared for the gritty, dark side of things. Drugs, murder, violence, and less-than respectable characters run amok, and it leaves a heavy cloak over the potential romance that is trying to bloom. Sasha and Adam are a couple who you truly hope can save each other and break the pattern of crap that they’ve been living through, but it’s an uphill battle and then some.

It all begins with being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sasha and eleven other unlucky participants/witnesses (or lucky, depending on how you look at it) live through a drug dealer shooting at her work, each deciding it’s best to split the “victim’s” money and pretend like nothing ever happened. The body’s dealt with, they each get 6 figures, and Sasha has the contacts to get rid of the considerable amount of drugs that were left behind. Only problem is, her contact happens to be her ex Tommy, a selfish user who is deep into the drug world but doesn’t know when enough is enough. He causes more problems than he solves for Sasha, putting her life in grave danger and her way in over her head. Enter James, the deliciously sexy best friend who’s loved her from afar but couldn’t go there since Tommy was his cousin. You know, bro code and all that.

As for Sasha, I find it hard to connect with characters who are addicts or drug users, and I tried to keep an open mind seeing as how her situation was pretty messed up. But honestly, it pissed me off that she was weak when it came to her smarmy on-and-off-again enabling addict of an ex boyfriend. I’ll admit, the sex between them was pretty damned hot, but I felt dirty for thinking so afterwards. He was just icky, and I imagine he was supposed to be so that we see Adam in a much better light, but it tarnished Sasha a lot for me, too. When push came to shove and James was there for her every step of the way, I wanted more and more to like her and I think maybe I forced myself to forgive her for her shitty behavior. They were hot together, and their past made the sweet factor go up a bit. By the time the story was wrapping up, I was looking forward to them somehow working their way out of the crazy mess they were in. We don’t get your typical happy ever after here, not surprisingly, so it remains to be seen if we’ll see more of Sasha and Adam or if we’re just supposed to use our own imaginations on that one. I liked that it wasn’t all tied up with pretty strings, but ugh after what they’d been through it’s hard to not have clear closure on this one. Readers be ready to stick with this one for the long haul, because with each of the witnesses getting their own book, there’s sure to be more of Adam and Sasha…you just need to be patient.

Quotes:

I didn’t mind his speeches even a little. I didn’t mind anything about Adam. He was my ideal for what I wanted if I ever had a normal relationship: strong, smart, healthy, and sexy. ~Loc 43

He still had my hair in his hand. An amazing high and on the precipice of amazing sex—I had everything I could ever want in that moment. Not everything, a guilty voice reminded me. I didn’t have Adam. I didn’t have the fantasy that I had started to dream of more and more. I don’t deserve that though. ~Loc 426

The sheet slid down my back, and he stared up at me with that same look of intense desire I’d already started to recognize. “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to hear that.” ~Loc 1701

I enjoyed this story, but I fell it had a drop off ending, not a cliffhanger but an are you kidding me, what the hell happens next, that can't be it ending. (Geez that was a rambling sentence). I like the feel and flow of the story and it was different, I haven't read this 10 times already. I just didn't like how it ended and book 2 is Dillion's story so we aren't going to see what's next.

WOW! This novella is one of THOSE books that once you start you Do Not want to put it down. This is not your mama's romance story. Do expect to become totally invested in Sugar (Sasha) and Adam as the story unfolds. UNFILTERED & UNLAWFUL is not a sweet comfortable love story that just has a few minor bumps before the couple lives happily ever after. It's dirty, and shameful, and gut wrenching. It's a look at what life, death and love look like for people that live hard lives. Drugs, rough sex, and murder don't make for a fairy tale romance but it sure makes for one heck of a good story. I've never read anything written by these two authors but from this point on I will.

At times the book made me uncomfortable because it felt so real. I found myself wanting Sasha to have the strength to pull herself out of her addiction to drugs and her ex-husband's abuse. Wanted her to see that she did deserve better, that Adam was the better she could have.

Twelve people in a coffee shop are going to be forever linked because of a murder they all witness and help cover up. The decisions all twelve make that night are going to change their lives forever and the lives of the people that are involved with them.

Sasha's story is the first in The Unfiltered Series. If the authors can maintain the same excellence that they've achieved with Sasha's tale it's going to be one series that begs to be read by a huge audience. The characters come alive in this story. The dialogue feels so true to the roles each person plays in the unfolding drama. It's not a cozy read but so very compelling that it's hard to put down and walk away from. Do yourself a favor and don't walk away from this series.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone 18 and older. There is depiction of drug use, profane language, and sexual situations.

I'm just going to summarise this book, since I read so many while on holiday. Reviewing can be tough work.

A secondary intrigue of drug-related bullshit which had no closure whatsoever and didn't captivate my interest at all.

An angsty, former drug-addict with self-esteem issues called Sasha (nickname Sugar).

Her hottie, tattoo artist bestfriend.

 photo hb3_zps63455322.gif

And her shady, part-time dealer of an ex-boyfriend - who she still sleeps with.

 photo pieceofshit_zps740b7db1.gif

That was basically it. Mixed with tons of sexual tension between Sasha and Adam (sexy, tattooed hunk) and maddening inferiority complex crisis from Sasha.

The difference between this and the other contemporary romance/erotica books out there? The innovative sex scenes. You'll never be bored, amigas.

Author Jeaniene Frost called this "sexy and exciting" and I love the premise! Sounds very unique and fun!!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It's quite short, and it's sweet. There are drugs and death involved, but it's not dark. It stays fairly light throughout.

That being said, there were never any heart pounding moments. It was all pretty mellow. I can see really loving a book like this after reading something really intense. However, from the blurb I expected a bit more tension.

Adam was wonderful. Sasha was a train-wreck on the way to getting better. They still make sense though. I can see how Adam would see himself or be interested in Sasha while she was getting herself clean. She's someone who can understand what he went through, and he can be there for her.

I am looking forward to the next one. This is a solid, well-written, fluffy romance.

I liked and disliked this book, probably about an equal amount. Like the characters, liked the love scenes, and I liked the premise of the book. I didn't like the abrupt ending, it felt like as soon as I was really invested in their relationship and story, bam the end. Also not a fan of how long it took the couple to get together but I suppose that's my own issue. So now I'm wondering if the next book is about Dillion are we just never going to know what happen with Sasha and Adams? Other than that it was a pretty entertaining escape. It was well written and definitely angst provoking.

Sigh… Drugs, money, abuse, self-esteem female character…
It's correctly written and I don't have anything to say about the style.
But come on… Women already have a lot of insecurities. Even if you want to create a plot in the mafia or to show the drug field, can you not make them addict and with low moral?
I read to entertain myself not to get depressed or exercise my eyes with too much rolling.
Definitively, not a good story for me. :-(

Unfiltered & Unlawful. Book 1 of the Unfiltered series. Payge Galvin and Ronnie Douglas
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
So, being a sucker for romance with lots of drama this sounded perfect. I'd read the Amazon sample, and it was good so put in request. But I'd misunderstood exactly what this series is, looking at book two and seeing it had different characters I'd assumed this would be a complete book...and its not. Having read it, and looked again at book two I can now understand what's happening – it's 12 linked books about the people in the shop and the action on that night, and the story continues through each person, and I’m guessing we'll catch up with what's happening with each one as the series continues. That sounds a fun concept, and though I usually hate serialised novels this is that bit different. There's a time limit – one book each month – so my pet hate of not knowing when the series continues is sorted. I just hate waiting months, years even, for next part of a novel, whether its a serialised one or a trilogy or whatever, unless there's at least some kind of closure at the end. My other worry is price, this part is only 74p for 143 pages, and that's fine, but what about as the series continues? It could prove expensive, and if there's suddenly a price jump partway through it'll mean either spending more or giving up and wasting what's already been spent. If authors have fixed a price for the others I'd love to know, and would certainly make sure that has place in my reviews. I'm sure that would help sales too, as readers will know total cost from the outset. Its one of the things that put me off the CrossFire saga – began as a trilogy, then on day last part out it became a five book serial. That bumps up the total cost considerably especially as often when series get more well known future books go up a huge jump in price. I gave up in that series, felt cheated as a reader and felt I’d wasted money on the first two books. .
Anyway – got that off my chest! So on with the actual book. Excellent writing, plenty of drama and action, coupled with a brief overview of the characters we'll be meeting, and a beginning of the overall story, starting with Sasha, Adam and Tommy. Sasha has been with addict Tommy on and off over a period of time, but stayed off drugs for the last five months. She really likes his cousin Adam, but he's not interested she thinks, as shown by his constant string of one night stands ( why stands I wonder?? after all standing isn't what happens most of the time...) As it happens Adam really likes Sasha and the girls are just a way of escape for him, given that he's very stringent about what he eats, drinks and exercises. His body is a work of art, and he's a believer in organic, healthy eating and drinking. Drugs are most definitely out.
So, we've two people who would love to get together, but each thinks the other is not interested. How long will that last now they're on the run together?
As I said earlier, now I understand what the series is about better I can see the potential, but with the pitfalls I’ve queried. There's several different authors too and for the first ( and second) book they're writing as a duo, which is fun. I'm wondering though how well the continuity will stand up to different authors with different writing styles? I guess having a fairly fixed outline will help that – its going to be interesting finding out. I enjoyed this book, plenty of heat, real characters, a flawed heroine – I do like that. Those perfect ladies just don't get to have half the fun! Its a lot though to introduce the concept and the beginning of the story in just 143 pages, and I think if this first one at least were a bit longer that would have worked better for me. I just felt like I was getting to grips with a scene or person and it was on to the next one..
Stars: three and a half. I’m finding a rating difficult, I liked the book but its incomplete, and it's so different from rating a conventional serial, stand alone or duo/trilogy. I think for this particular part I'm going three and a half, because I feel its got good potential, but very it's difficult to introduce story and characters properly in such a short length of novel and that's where it fell down for me. I needed that extra to get really engrossed in the story and people.

This is, at its heart, a love story. Oh, sure, there's also great—I mean REALLY great—sex scenes, believable characters, a murder, drugs, a cover-up, and enough references to unrequited love to fill a boxcar headed out of Rio Verde, where most of the action takes place.

But Sasha—the twenty-something lead character—is party to a murder in the coffee shop in which she works as a barista. In fact, she and twelve others who are in the shop when the murder goes down are all equally complicit in the crime when they steal the man's drug money—$100,000, split twelve ways.

The incident—which is capped by the innovative cremation of the remains by a customer whose family just happens to own a funeral home—sparks a need for Sasha to get out of town. But she can't go alone. She needs to take her borderline abusive ex-boyfriend with her in hopes of starting a new life away from the druggies who are bound to come along and want their money.

Can she domesticate Tommy, the bad boy she just can't seem to stay away from? Or will she finally consummate her smoldering attraction to Adam, Tommy's cousin? He's tall, muscular, and every girl's dream wrapped in tattoos from head to toe. He's also attracted to her, but, as luck would have it, he knows that—as his cousin's main squeeze—Sasha is off-limits.

Without revealing too much, Sasha does find herself finally in a secluded location with Adam and the sexual tension is so thick you couldn't cut it with a sharp condom wrapper.

"I arched my back, my breath coming in short gasps as need grabbed me by the throat. This was so wrong, but that didn't matter to me anymore. Nothing mattered but the feel of Adam's skin against mine, of his lips skimming over me. He trailed kisses down my body, his tongue flicking out to tease me with the promise of what he would do next."

Okay, so maybe there's more than just tension here. Sasha tries so hard to keep her friendship with Adam strictly platonic, but the battle is an uphill one. Does she ultimately lose? Will the drug lords find Sasha and kill her? The suspense is delicious, and the author spins it out well.

This book is for every single female—and married, too, I suppose—who likes their sex scenes hot, explicit and steamy. I didn't find the sex offensive or off-putting in any way. After all, the reader gets caught up pretty quickly in the excellent descriptive passages detailing Sasha and Tommy's dysfunctional but highly erotic relationship. And sure, the pace of the plot lags a bit as Sasha goes through about ten orgasms in a row, but who cares?

I won't spoil the ending by revealing whether or not she and Adam finally get together, or whether the drug dealer's friends ever catch up to her—not to mention the police, who don't seem to wonder where one of their premier drug kingpins has suddenly disappeared to. Suffice to say that you won't be dissatisfied with this book overall, if it's your kind of read.

So, what did I think? Premise - Great. Did it deliver? Sadly, I felt it fell short. I didn't connect with the main character, Sasha or Sugar as she was called. She was a recovering cocaine addict, who couldn't control her addiction to her on and off again boyfriend, Tommy, who was a petty criminal. She had no depth. She had serious character flaws- but what were her redeeming qualities? I couldn't find one. She wanted Adam, but continued with Tommy because she thought Adam was too good for her. Adam I liked a little more, but still - why would he want Sasha? The story was kind of flip flopped. Sasha wasn't in love with Tommy, and only used him for sex in order to help her forget her problems. Yet, the sex scenes with Tommy were incredibly graphic and drawn out. When Sasha has sex with Adam, the "hero" of the story and the man she loves, they are skimmed over briefly.
Besides the romantic aspects of the book, I couldn't fathom how twelve people in a coffee shop would agree to dispose of a dead body, conceal a murder, and agree to never speak of it again. It happened so matter-of-fact that it just didn't fly. It started at 8% and ended at 13% progress in the book. Who are these people hanging out in a coffee shop that could shoot a man, clean up the blood, wrap the body in trash bags, dispose of him in an incinerator, ditch his car, and then split up over a million dollars in cash - agreeing to just never speak of it again and head off on their merry way to live the rest of their lives? If there was any more backbone to this part of the plot, it could have been a great story. Unfortunately, it didn't develop past that. A few phone calls to one other person that was involved in the mess and a very lame attempt by a "businessman" to locate Adam and Sasha to retrieve the stolen money did not make for a convincing tale. Instead,I was pummeled with repetitive self doubts and uncertainties from Sasha about her worthiness of Adam, and how she didn't want to lose his friendship. Until suddenly, they were together and riding off into the sunset- anticlimactic. A little less of that whining insecurity and a lot more action could have made an okay book a cliffhanger. I don't think I'd read the rest of the series.

First let me go ahead and say that I LOVED this book. The first chapter had me hooked. I found myself making hard decisions like, should I go to sleep or continue reading? Adam is definitely a new book boyfriend of mine.

As the book ended I found myself struggling with the fact that I have to know more. Will they finally quit running and will Sasha ever get her dream of settling down and having a family.

I guess there is only one way to find out. Looks like this will be a multiple series by the authors providing one book a month. On to book two of the series!

My Favorite Moment: Hello motorcycle ride! I can't believe he didn't touch her. Now that is some awesome freaking restraint!

My Favorite Quotes: "Do you really think I don't notice the way you look at me?"

"Oh, come on, Adam! You know you're eye candy."

"You can play word games, but it won't help, sweetheart. You know damn well that my bike is a hell of lot more personal than my bed, and you were in my bed when I tattooed you."

Unfiltered & Unlawful is a short read full of events that leave you wanting to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. This series is made up of 12 different stories each about the characters that were involved in a crime, none of them meant to see or commit; however each leave with 110,000 dollars and a pact to never speak of that night again. Interested yet?? You should be because it’s a pretty interesting series. None of the 12 thinks they will find love but each do along the way and these are their stories. The first story is about Sasha "Sugar" Kovac and her best friend/ex-boyfriend’s cousin Adam. Mr. tall, tattoo and handsome is secretly in love with Sasha and the feelings are mutual but neither of them are willing to admit it. The night, (which I will not tell you what happens you have to read) Sasha runs with the money and 2 kilos of cocaine to her ex to have him help her. He agrees but only after a night of cocaine induced sex. The plan is to sell off the remaining cocaine and use the money on top of the 110,000 to run away and start a new life together; one with no drugs. After a couple of days with no word, Adam comes to tell her that Tommy was killed, trying to get greedy with the drugs. With no one left to run too, Sasha tells Adam she’s leaving and might not come back. Adam, being the charming tattoo hottie, lets her know that under no circumstances is she leaving without him. A small cabin with one bedroom and no place really to go, what will happen with these two? Will they finally give into one another or will that night that must never be spoken about come back to haunt them before they have a chance? You have to read to find out what happens but it really is worth it. Nice way to start a series off and I can't wait to read the next one Unfiltered & Unknown. I wish this story would have told us a bit more but I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we see these two. Unfiltered & Unknown is out now.

Sasha "Sugar" Kovac has her history of drug addiction, and has quite the hot headed reputation when she's around her on and off again boyfriend Tommy. She's so wrapped up in these things that she can't seem to see the truth to the man standing in front of her, Tommy's cousin Adam. Sure she wants him like the many girls who have shared his bed, but she refuses to surrender her friendship she's come to rely on over one night, no matter how toe curling that night may be. Adam has always watched over Tommy, in fact that's why he's here at his family's urging. He knows Tommy isn't the best person but he's family and not a complete waste, if he would just see that and make the changes. Sugar is another story. She's trying to make the better choices but somehow Tommy always has a way of dragging her back in. When things turn deadly one night at the Coffee Cave, Sugar is forced to run to Adam and finds that fighting her feelings are so much harder when she's on the back of his harley.

Adam and Sasha meshed well together, even if the chemistry wasn't through the roof, the characters just felt like they belonged together. Their romance and relationship took a backseat to the action that surrounded that fateful night but it was still there.

The synopsis on this book really sucked me in and left me braced for an awesome story that promised grit and action. While I will say it was action filled I didn't fall in love like I had hoped. It was good, filled with flawed and entertaining characters, drama and plot twists, but the deliver and format felt choppy, rushed in some spots and drug out in others. These were more than likely typical first book in a series speed bumps though, and it was an entertaining journey. The issues were handled well and the ending left the reader ready for the next.

Sasha has been doing well at staying clean. Her only downfall is that she still occasionally runs to Tommy’s bed. She may have left him and the drugs behind, but when her loneliness gets the best of her she runs back for a night here and there; never completely severing their relationship.

One night changes everything. Add an aggressive oversized scary man, an untraceable gun, and twelve strangers and things get interesting. Out of a fear a shot is fired, a man is dead, and those twelve people are left sharing the blame, which none of them want. But what they do want is to act like it never happened and everyone decides to chip into to conceal the crime. Including equally dividing the large sum of cash found in the dead man’s car.

Tommy may love Sasha, but he will never be able to get past his own greed to love her the way she needs. It’s a good thing too, because she is so much better off without him around.

Tommy’s cousin Adam has been in love with Sasha for a while. He’s even stopped his womanizing ways, not that she notices. But when everything falls apart for Sasha he refuses to let her run without him.

This is a well written story with interesting characters. Sasha is a mess, but at least she’s trying to get better. Adam is pure hotness wrapped in tattoos and is bound to save the day.

My Favorite Moment: Hello motorcycle ride! I can’t believe he didn’t touch her. Now that is some awesome freaking restraint!

No real resolution to this story but it appears that our couple will find their HEA! Gritty little story though which I enjoyed, and our heroine is not so perfect which I love. Sasha loves the wild life of drugs and hard sex that she gets with Tommy - until she tries to break free from drugs and thus distance herself from Tommy as well. Tommy definitely loves her but he is destructive. Being around Tommy is toxic & he will continue to tempt her with drugs. And their sex life sounded more violent than hot. Sasha gets herself into a terrible situation one night at the coffee shop where she works. It might be someone that has a business relationship with Tommy, who knows. But it ends up being a tragic situation leaving Sasha and the patrons of the coffee shop with no solution but to clean up the mess & head out of Dodge - and hopefully get out of danger. That is where Adam comes in, the very hot tattoo artist who moved into town to keep an eye on his cousin Tommy. But his eyes were more on Sasha. He tried to keep his hands busy with girls who come in & out of the tattoo shop but his body won't let him do that anymore once his heart is occupied with only Sasha. It is very sweet actually - he could continue his one night stands but he doesn't want that life anymore. Once Sasha needs his help he is there for her, protecting her and loving her. Sasha has a hard time accepting him for anything more than a friend because Adam is all she has left in the world. Being on the run while being in close proximity, and tight together on the back of Adam's motorcycle, only means that Sasha will have to let her guard down around Adam & finally admit her true feelings. Really good book!
