My life took a devastating turn when I lost control, nearly ending it all.
Thanks to a deal with the district attorney, I avoided jail time but found myself imprisoned all the same —where medications were forced upon me, and darkness loomed in unexpected corners.
All I want for now is a bit of normalcy. I crave the mundane. The chance to experience love and to truly live.
But is that too much to ask for?
Join Charlotte on a deeply personal journey as she navigates the shadows of her past and fights to reclaim the life that's always been out of reach.
I Hear You, Charlotte is a raw and emotional tale of resilience, hope, and the search for redemption in the face of adversity.
This book.. Oh my gosh!!! It started out really slow for me, and I was slightly bummed after how good and quick paced the first one was! after about 50% the book really took off and had my jaw on the floor MULTIPLE times!!! I was audibly gasping and "oh no-ing" out loud. I am so excited for book 3!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

**Check your Trigger Warnings before reading this book, as it gets a bit heavy.** Addiction, SA/SV, Mental Health
“I Hear You, Charlotte” tells the story of a teenage girl navigating her way through life after a near death experience. Charlotte is on the outside your typically high school girl, but below the surface she fights battles with her mental health. With the support of her best friend Savvy and the boy who loves her, Zach, Charlotte must work her way through all of the traumatic things she didn’t want to face, all the things she had been hiding below the surface.
The author does a great job of building the main character, Charlotte. The inner dialogue that Charlotte has makes her relatable and allows the reader to truly connect with all of the feelings and emotions that Charlotte is going through. The book is well written and the author does a great job of writing I in the more intimate scenes and graphic scenes while still keeping them from vague enough that it doesn’t overpower the tone of the book.
This book sent me through a rollercoaster of emotions. This is a story about the journey of a girl named Charlotte who has been through a lot of obstacles in her young life. From mental health, love & loss, new friendships, addiction, betrayal, abuse, to recovery. She is a warrior, no matter how many times she wants to quit she still manages to keep pushing. This whole series has been so emotional and raw and real. So beautifully written. I could not put it down from start to finish. Coralee Taylor continues to shock me every time. The cliff hangers have me doing just that, feeling like I’m dangling on the edge of a cliff ready to dive right into the next one! This is a solid 5 stars for me. I loved everything about it. You will not be disappointed 😊🖤

Blessed to be an ARC reader but struggling to wait for book three. EXCUSE ME! THAT ENDING. The emotional rollercoaster!! But I can't explain how proud I am of some characters, how I fell in love with some of the new ones and how my heart breaks for two of them. Coralee did it again!! And all I can say is, I'm so glad justice was served!! (Kind of) Get reading for a whirlwind of emotions and experiences in book two!!
This book is raw & powerful example of the human condition through addiction, abuse, and sobriety. This book is love, betrayal, and most of all hope! It was a pleasure to read this book. I feel like Charlotte is anyone of us, if things had gone just a little differently. The difference one day makes!
This series wrecks me, but I love it. I can relate to Charlotte so much that it hurts. The story is captivating and the characters are almost real. I can’t wait for the third one to come out.
This series is very heavy on triggers. Please always check warnings!!!
I received this book as an ARC from the author in return of my honest review.
With that being said, what an incredible storyline so far. There is not enough stars. The way the author brings this story to life. Even to the side characters. She makes you feel like you are in the story. You find yourself rooting, praying, crying and screaming with all the characters. Book 1 is a lot heavier than book 2 but there are parts of the book that may trigger some. I honestly can’t say enough about this series. It has truly captivated me in a way not many books have. The writing is phenomenal.
SA Miscommunication Drug abuse Cheating Heavy mental illness
I have been waiting for this book since the day I finished the first one! I couldn't wait to dive in and when I finally got the chance I couldn't put this book down. I love this story of Charlotte and Zach and am giving it 4.5 stars.
This book starts off continuing where the first left off, so you definitely have to read the first book in order to understand what is happening but it's so worth it!
Charlotte wakes up in the hospital from the drugs that Priest gives her at the end of the last book and then is put into treatment where she faces some demons, she has been keeping locked up inside. Once out of treatment Charlotte and Zach pick up their relationship again and end up doing long distance while she goes to college too. In college she starts trying to make friends and ends up making friends with Rebecca. Now, I didn't like this girl from the start, and you will find out how big a B this Rebecca really is when reading this book. Zach and Charlottes relationship suffer due to this "friend" Rebecca, and you just end up hating her because Zach and Charlotte are amazing together. My heart broke for Charlotte but her strength to move on was great to see!
The book ties up where she goes to visit her sassy friend Savy and Savy apparently has something up her sleeve for Charlotte. Charlotte ends up questioning Savy and then is a deer in headlights BUT we don't get to find out what this something is because Miss Coralee leaves us with another cliffhanger! I finished this book at 11:30pm and immediately sent her a message asking why she did that to us! lol!
I can't wait until book 3!!

I was gifted an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. The first installment in this series (I See You, Charlotte) destroyed me in the best way and left me on such a cliffhanger that I was glad to have gotten the second installment so quickly. With that being said, the second installment of the Ties That Bind Series is just as good as the first. As always please check your trigger warnings. Even though this book is slightly less heavy than the last, Charlotte does revisit traumatic scenes from the first book. Charlotte's story is so heartbreaking and I found myself just hoping and praying that she could just catch one break. Her strength and resilience through the faces of adversity, while inspiring, also showcase the ugly truths of battling mental illness and addiction. In this book, we also get a deeper look into the mind of her love interest, Zach. Zach's story is just as sad and heartbreaking as Charlotte's and like her, he also has his own demons to face. Coralee's writing style is so relatable and while this story is heavy on the dark aspects, there are some areas of comedic relief. This book does end on a cliffhanger, however it's more jaw dropping rather than heart shattering like the one in the first book. I absolutely cannot wait to dive into the next book and see how Charlotte continues to grow.
Tropes: -Murd3r/Suic!de -SA/Grape -Forced Drug Use -Hospitalization -Miscommunication -New Adult/Collage Sports Romance -OWD/OMD -Stalking -Mental Health -Dual POV
The last book was such an emotional rollercoaster that I knew I would have to prepare myself for this book. And boy, was I right.
I was so invested in the first book that I hated to see it end. Then I see #2 pop up and I was so excited I immideately went and downloaded it. Two chapters in and I was hooked.
The first book showed her ruin and downfall. Now do we get to see her pick herself up again?
This book is similar to the first in the way it is written but we also get to see a more mature Charlotte. The first book was a lot of high school and firsts for her, while this book is an adult Charlotte having to face the world and get through her trauma from the end of book one.
Coralee Taylor has such a compelling style that draws you into the journey of Charlotte's struggle for sanity and sobriety. She draws readers in with suspense and well placed cliffhangers that this book was impossible to put down. Charlotte has faced such hardship and struggles that you can't help but root for her to finally overcome her trauma and get a happy ending.
Of course, just like book one this ends in a major cliffhanger too, leaving me waiting with great anticipation for book three!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
*I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review*
First thing's first... Let's start at the end and say thanks for the cliffhanger! 🙈😅
In all seriousness, this book was great. I really enjoyed it even if it was a rollercoaster of emotions (but I wouldn't expect any different after the first book)
I found myself flipping back and forward between positive, sad, angry and extremely frustrated with this story (which is the point so shows it's well written).
Going on the journey with Charlotte of trying to stay clean, trying to go to college and trying to step out her comfort zone was tense and at times quite upsetting but you keep hoping for happiness with Zach for her.
This book was so good at keeping you on the edge of your seat with constant twists and turns that prove to you that you haven't guessed what is happening.
This book isn't even officially out and I need the third book 🙈🙈
Thank you for allowing me to read the ARC 😊 ❤️
*Please read the trigger warnings before you read this book.
Coralee Taylor had so quickly become on my favorite authors. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️.5 I Hear You, Charlotte is one of my top 2024! It pulled back into Charlotte and Zach’s word so effortless, that I couldn’t bring myself to put it down! I finished this in one day and I can not recommend it enough. I will warn you that this author, Coralee, knows exactly how and when to pull your heart strings. She taps so perfectly into Charlotte and Zach’s emotions and minds I felt like they are sitting with me as I read. Make sure to check the triggers, but if you have ever struggled with depression, anxiety, addiction, or shitty friends, this book will hit you in places you forgot about. Even if you don’t normally read Independent Authors, take the leap with this one. You’ll have your soul ripped out and patched back with Charlotte’s story. The characters grow so much, but also have a lot of faults. I just….. get the dang book. It’s incredibly worth it.
Just a side note for Coralee…. THAT LAST LINE 👀👀👀 YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEAR ATTACK?!?!! You are too good at your job baby’s 😭😭😭😭😭
I had the amazing opportunity to ARC read this book.
Charlotte's story continues in IHYC and it is not an easy one. This girl has been through h3ll and back and I feel for her immensely. She continues to be strong and preservers through incredibly difficult situations. Zach makes a return and goes on a WILD ride- no spoilers but I was so mad I could've cried. Several breathers were needed during this book. This book made me feel so many things at once and left me with a bit of a book hangover (in the best way). Coralee continues to write phenomenal, page turning stories. This is definitely a must read (please check trigger warnings). I can't wait to see where Charlotte's journey takes her and I hope we get more of Zach as well. THIS BOOK ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER and I'm not mad. Only because it means we are getting more to this adventure.
I need the third book!! Like Coralee why do you do me like this.
The first book hooks you in. This isn’t your typical high school romance. It broke my heart and she portrayed a teen so well. Especially when it came to her mental struggles. This book does have abuse of substances, mental health hardships, and cheating. If you haven’t read I See You Charlotte please go do so and then read IHYC since this is the second book in the trio.
I loved how hard Zach fell for her. This series has my heart at the moment. The second behind right where the first ended. I hated Rebecca. I mean girl your suppose to be her friend. (WTF) anyways I wanted Zack to be happy, Charlotte too. It was a bit slow in the beginning but the turn of events towards the last couple of chapters had me gasping.
Ok, first off.. why, why’d you have to do me this way ma’am? How could you leave me hanging like that? I need the next book. Like tomorrow.. lol
Ok, now for the review part of my review.. lol. I absolutely loved this book. And was soo happy to see Charlotte safe, and able to overcome her issues. I don’t think I’ve been invested in a character from a book like this in a while. I hoped soo much that she would be ok.. and be able to live her life. This book.. if had me tearing up. But, Charlie, she’s a tough one. And my sweet Zach. He really and truly loves Charlie. And is so patient and understanding with her.
This book.. I honestly don’t have the words to express how much I love it. And I will be (Im)patiently waiting for the next one.
How much trauma and deceit does poor Charlotte have to go through 😭! I won’t give any spoilers because I want people to be blindsided like myself 😂. I loved this book, even more than the first. I can’t wait for Charlottes happily happy ever, our girl deserves it.
Coralee brought to life with words the demons that people face daily, the struggles of mental health. The struggles that people face with addiction and then the struggles they face with sobriety. Beautifully written.
Be prepared for a cliffhanger that will make you scream and throw your kindle…. Coralee sure knows what she’s doing.
After reading book 1 and loving every minute of it, I knew I had to read book 2 ASAP. This book didn’t not disappoint and be very prepared for a wild ride. Coralee writes these books with so much emotion that I feel each and every one of them. This book broke me just like the first one did. Charolette is trying to make her life better and for a while things go good, then the twists start coming out and it just hurts so bad what she goes through. These books will forever hold a special place in my heart. I can’t wait for book 3 because I need so much more of Charlotte & Zach. I need them to have their HEA. 100% recommend reading these stories!
I read I See You, Charlotte a little while ago (not that long ago) and got sent this book. I opened it up this morning and just finished. The emotional roller coaster!!!! I am so ready for book 3. I’m too impatient. Charlotte deserves the damn world. And I do believe Zach could come close to giving it to her. Not that she needs a man, but if there is a man she needs, it’s him. As for Rebecca, I wanna str*ngle her. When she told Charlie to stir harder, I already knew she dr*gged her. And when she was introduced as “Bex”…I started putting the pieces together. Psycho. - “Hey, Sweets” better be our man. Coming to claim what’s his. Because if it is Jason, I will jump through the book and 👊🏼 him. Like he deserves. LOL

Charlotte just can’t catch a break and I am here on this ride of her life. I don’t like to do reviews with spoilers so just trust me that Charls’ story continues on a rollercoaster that is several Law and Order SVU episodes combined and sprinkled with a dose of good old school Lifetime thriller. Since those are my two favorite things I just could not put this book down. The ending is a cliffhanger and dear Coralee Taylor, if this poor girl does not get her HEA I will come down on you with the kind of wrath that Savvy would be proud of. 😘
The first book left me speechless so I couldn't wait to read this one. I would highly suggest checking trigger warnings before reading because this book does contain some heavy content. The trauma Charlotte has endured her whole life is absolutely heartbreaking. She is one strong-willed FMC. I love Zach so much and can't believe the stuff that happens. This one definitely had me talking to myself out loud while on the edge of my seat! Another amazing book by Coralee and I can't wait for the last one. I need answers like right now! Definitely a favorite all time read for sure.
I hear you, Charlotte, was a perfect follow up to I see you, Charlotte. I really liked how Coralee went full circle and step to step with how everything ended up for Charlotte. I also enjoyed how it took us into a deep dive of Zachs feeling for Charlotte. I also liked how they explained each side separately instead of side by side in "real time" it gave a better understanding that way. I did feel as though the ended was a bit far fetched but I will tell you it was a huge shocker and look forward to reading her 3rd book.
This story was an epic rollercoaster. My emotions were all over the place. After the ending of the first book, Charlotte finds herself at a therapy center, forced to talk about her past, deal with further abuse, all while trying to heal. The story encompasses issues surrounding mental health, addiction, sexual assault and abuse, betrayals, old and new friendships. But things aren’t always what they seem. I can’t wait for the next book after that doozy of an ending.
So I just finished I Hear You, Charlotte by Coralee Taylor and yet again she does not disappoint! I rate this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. If you haven’t read her first book of this series go do it now. I See You, Charlotte is just as good. If you have read the first book go preorder this second book because you are going to want to get your hands on it ASAP! This book will live rent free in my brain just like the first one. Loving the mental health representation!
Absolutely amazing!!!! Loved this book so much definitely kept me on an emotional rollercoaster and Charlotte has gone through so much hurt in a short period of time but she is so strong and pushes through so much stuff. She is the definition of a strong woman! I loved this book and can't wait for more because this book kept me teetering on the top of that rollercoaster!!!
This book was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish! I knew I would have to prepare myself for this book. And boy, was I right. The first book was a lot firsts for her, while this book is an adult Charlotte having to face her trauma from the end of book one. Of course, just like book one this ends in a major cliffhanger too, leaving me waiting with great anticipation for book three!
