Having prevented an Abyssal Rift from forming in Heartillia, Noah and his party are now headed towards Drakonias, the lost kingdom of dragons, with word of another Shard piece hidden inside an ancient vault. A trial awaits them here, with warriors from all over Erandir coming to compete.
The reward? The title of [Dragon Warrior] and access to the ancient vaults of the kingdom filled with powerful treasures. But to compete, one must be at C rank at the very least.
Noah and his companions have six months. To work hard and try to get to C rank in time, to be able to compete in the tournament.
On their path, they'll use every opportunity, and every tool they can get their hands on. Alongside the help of some brand new friends.
Book 3 in an action-packed, crunchy, isekai LitRPG series from KrazeKode, author of The First Law of Cultivation. Loaded with stats, skills, combat, and power progression, it's perfect for fans of Iron Prince, Road to Mastery, and He Who Fights with Monsters!
I rarely review, and I rarely give 4 stars to a book I finish. 1 or 0, yes or no, finish reading or quit, 0 or 5 star. That’s my norm. So writing this means the series has really captured me but let me down just enough….
Editing in this series has seen a decline, it was evident in book 3 and even worse here. Fast to market for such a great story and writer is becoming a liability to the series.
This book felt short and rushed. The LitTPG elements and advancements we crave are lacking and sometimes without context. Even though I read 1-4 back to back, I struggled to recall specifics of some abilities.
Elements like Bun Bun were non existent, side quests and development, aka the spear were rushed or forgotten. MC is starting to become less put together and coherent. I like OP MC’s but this is staring to lack development and flavor. Progression elements and things that were heavy focus in past books were forgotten.
All in all, still a gem of the genre, but it needs to return to its roots.
Final of the series for now, until the next book comes out. I did enjoy the end more than the beginning, and I might go and read the next one when it comes out. It was okay, at times good. A good in-between, I think.
This series still reminds me a lot of a mix of different book series I've read so far, especially from the skills section. And the story was, while original, sometimes too rushed and sometimes too flat to be thoroughly engaging.
That said, this is me being a critic on a very high level and I did have my fun. Might not have the re-read factor some of the others have, but I enjoyed reading it and the world is nicely done.
Ohhhh man! Soooooooo friggen good! Here, Thar be Dragons and Wyverns too! How awesome is'at?!? I ask you! Many. Plenty. Too Muchly. Awesome is what it is! And I adore Krazekode's series 'cause Dragons, duh. And of course Noah and his party! In this book some of them get a chance to join with the Wyverns and train! And you know Noah he's all gung-ho about more training and with Wyverns as well. A Wyvern who partners up with him and trains along side fighting is well worth the blood spilled! You just can't beat that! I swear! So yeah grab the book, as you fight and power up along side Noah, and the Shadow Wyvern his partner!
The MC and his allies journey to take part in a martial contest. Along the way they find some pirates that have captured a spirit-beast’s offspring. They then help a human/draconian hybrid to level before getting involved in a skirmish between two wyvern hives that help them to level up quite a bit. The story was entertaining and I look forward to the next installment which should include the upcoming martial contest. Meanwhile there’s a power play going on by fell forces in the shadows.
Definitely still a fun ride with some new characters and developments and more things hinted at for the future. If you liked the previous books, you should expect to like this as well.
However, I feel the need to state that the editing was rather bad. Mostly odd phrases and a strange tendency to repeat words shortly one after another. It was bad enough to be really noticeable but not bad enough to remove a star for me.
It's really fun to read how enthusiastically Noah approaches this new life. There are some new factors, but that just makes his growth and control that much better. The epilogue with unknown characters had the hair on my arms raising. Who in the world could that be? Something to look forward to.
Loved the training mountaige, can't wait to see how the tournament goes. I'm expecting Noah to enhance his wrym abilities and get closer to being more dragon like
It does seem like the editor kind of let to many things go, there were several words that didn't work in the sentences and misspellings. Still an amazing Addition to the series... Looking forward to the next one.
This was ok. Less substance and story progression than I would have preferred. I can sum the story up in two sentences which isn’t a good sign. Not horrible, but not well done either.
