Rejected Wolf Pack #2

Marked for the Pack

Rate this book
They promised to protect me during my heat. But are any of us ready for what happens afterward?

With my old pack hunting me down, a friend and I embark on a desperate plan to keep everyone we care about safe. Along the way, I'll discover secrets about my past and whether I have any hope of ever shifting.

My alphas protect me on my journey, even though I didn't ask them to. But it's a good thing, because my heat hits sooner than any of us expected... and with the worst possible timing.

There's no denying Flint and I have something real — something that might outlast my heat.

Heath used me and discarded me, so why do I keep catching this longing look in his eyes?

And when Gage's secrets are finally revealed, we might discover what's between us is so much stronger than hate.

I keep thinking like a typical wolf shifter, expecting to choose just one of them as my mate.

But I'm not just a wolf, am I? What if… instead of one, I'm falling for them all?

Marked for the Pack continues right where Protected by Outcasts left off. A high heat series containing hints of dubcon, Rejected Wolf Pack features a female wolf shifter who must discover the secrets of her past. By the end of the series, Freya will bring all her alphas to heel and get her Happily Ever After.

My Review

This second book begins where its predecessor left off with Freya and her entourage journeying for answers whilst the Ironwood pack is still hot on their heels. Freya's heat is still swiftly approaching and it's a race against time to locate somewhere safe to hole up for the duration. There's some progression here in regards to answers regarding Freya's origins but I am still so curious and want to know more. I liked how much more aware Gage and Heath are, in this instalment, they've finally accepted how they feel for Freya and now just need to convince her and win her trust. Not an easy task when they manage to consistently screw up. Flint is his usual rock-solid self and he's the only one that's been consistent throughout.

This had passion and heat and plenty of chemistry the howling echoes feel so much more like a unit than they've ever been before. Freya being the glue and their common goal. We also get some tiny hints of Rowan and my instincts say he's going to be a major feature in book three so I'm looking forward to that.

The finale was unexpected and left me wanting more. I'm enjoying this series a lot. Freya can be a bit of a drama llama and has a tendency to overthink but I do like her as a character and think she's soon going to burst out of her shell and surprise us all. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Marked for the pack.

The pack alpha calmly sat there watching me come unraveled as his two packmates touched me under the table, yet he didn't move a muscle.

Except for the intense heat in his gaze, he could've been watching a movie.

The only sign the scene before him affected him at all was a slight tick as his jaw clenched.

"Don't let him win," Flint whispered in my ear.

This series is spicyyyyyyy! but not just that, it has so much action in it and our fmc is like an incredible badass even tho she can't shift. She doesn't give up, she fights for what she believes in and for who she loves. I love all these characters, they are so different but also the same. They all have things from their past to overcome and along the way they figure it out, they don't give up, they mature, they communicate, they apologize, .... This is the second book in the series.

The first part of the book focses mainly on her upcoming heat and how they navigate that with being on the run and coming into contact with other shifters. Because they are very protective over their moonbeam. ( love that nickname btw ). Second part has so much more action, i won't spoil what happens but omggg!!! i need to know what happens next, those twists i def didn't see coming. Ooohhh and i need Rowan to come in because ooohwee i feel like their pack will not be complete without him, seeing as she's dreaming of him already... That reunion is going to be so epic. I can't wait to finally figure out the answers to all of my question with this series!

I highly enjoyed Marked for the Pack, it's the second book in the Rejected Wolf Pack series and boy did things take a drastic change.

Of course, Flint was the sweetie pie that he's always been but finally, real communication about the guys feeling for Freya happen which, are things perfect far from it but Gage and Heath aren't on my crap list anymore so I take that as a win. Also, am I the only one who has forgotten they have a fourth packmate? Rowan is an enigma, I can't wait to see him interact with Freya.

I like Freya, I really do but her past trauma is messing with her view of things and it's frustrating. At least she's improving, thinking things through even if she backslides a little. She's growing more confident as the story goes and good for her.

Besides the nerve-wracking relationship drama, we finally get answers about Freya! I'm surprised by what we find out, I didn't suspect it but now I'm intrigued and I want to know how this is going to influence the story. Actually, I'm curious how a lot of things will influence the story because a lot more than the Freya stuff went down.

Some much went down in the final few chapters of Marked for the Pack. I can't believe we ended up where we did, like I knew it was coming at some point but how it happened, yeah. Not to mention that unexpected twist, I have so many questions. Bring on the next book.

Marked for the Pack by Traci Lovelot is the second installment in the Rejected Wolf Pack series. I can't decide which book I like better. They're both fantastic!
I'm happy that Freya doesn't have to decide between the three alphas because who could make that choice!? Flint, Gage, and Heath are on my list of forever book boyfriends! They are hot! The sex scenes are on fire! I especially liked the scene in the restaurant. Traci took an incident which upset Freya and changed it to a really hot scene.
I love the personal growth that the characters undergo. The main characters are getting well rounded. We learn more about each of them. Secrets revealed. Questions answered. Then there's still more to learn and another alpha to meet! I can't wait to see Freya and Rowan together!
Highly recommend!! Desperately awaiting the next book!

Wow! I felt every single emotion that Freya was feeling! The wolves are my spirit animal, so I love wolf shifters. This story has everything! From steamy parts to adventurous parts! I am now wondering what going to happen to the characters in the next book! Amazing!

First reverse harem for the year, and second shifter book. First of all, I haven't read the first book yet. But the author made enough references to the first book, to understand what was going on in this book. I loved the book, the characters were well thought out enough that you were able to learn enough about their background without having that confused look of a “deer caught in the headlights.” Of course there is a cliffhanger, can't have a book series without a cliffhanger.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author for a fair and honest review.

Sooo good

Wow, if I thought book one was good. They just keep getting better! I love they way Traci Lovelot Portrays the story. I can visualize everything all the crazy details without being too wordy. Nothings worse than ready a book with details that repeat themselves over and over just to fill the space. She fill space with the story! Can't wait to meet ROWAN!!!

Hot. I'm loving these books. Well written, great storyline/plot. Its a why choose multi men to one woman. They are human/wolf shifters. Some could find some of the sex scenes as a trigger

*No Spoilers* Book 2 Rejected Wolf pack series, ends on cliffhanger! Adult 18+ read
Reverse Harem, Wolf shifters, Witch, Med burn/spice, multi POV chapters.
*Please do read the authors note at the beginning regarding possible triggers

Following on from Book 1, Protected By Outcasts which I personally recommend reading, this picks up immediately and grabs you by the short and curlies and does not let go!
So pick your evening, your nibbles of choice and turn off your phone because you will not want to be disturbed.

Equally plot and character driven the story deepens with a myriad of revelations, mounting hormones perfume confusing the senses with Gage, Heath and Flint still trying to keep Freya safe.
Wolves vs their Human. Instinct vs Common sense. Past vs Present, it's all here.

Danger lurks as Freya draws closer to her past and our missing Howling Echo pack member, Rowan is making his presence known. I cannot be the only reader who is salivating to meet him!

The personality growth and Pack dynamics are spot on, I was worried about Freya but she has done herself proud; she will be a force to be reckoned with soon enough. The multi POV chapters are just fabulous to bond with the Guys too.

The spice is zinging and that restaurant scene - Wowzers! Sheer perfection- I had to remove my Oodie for goodness sakes it was so hot!

Absolutely loving this series, I shouted out Yes! when Freya says '' Because I am here and I am Howling Echo''

Champing at the bit for Book 3 after that cliffhanger. Easy 5* review.

Even better than the first

I enjoyed the first book, but for whatever reason, I enjoyed this one even more. I do hate series that just stop at any random spot in the story line (usually a nice big cliffhanger). I try not to ever start a series that isn’t finished. I won’t wait a year for the next book to come out - I’d have forgotten everything in the earlier ones.

The author is very talented. This rated a 4 because I only give 5 to those books I would read over and over again. This is not quite at that level. First, I’m not a big fan of the POV switching all around the place. I’m one person. I see life through my own eyes, not anyone else’s. I prefer books through one POV (with maybe an occasional side story from another.)

Freya is a strong character, and only gets stronger as the book continues. Her alphas are the opposite - they are all strong, and get softer as the time goes on. They learn that strength without caring is worthless.

There is definite heat in this book, even more than in the last. The scenes are well written and not offensive in any way, but if that is not to your taste, they are also easy to skip over without it diminishing the story.

I do recommend reading this, if you like strong alpha wolves and FMC that find their own strength.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The plot is interesting and it's well written, with even pacing. Freya is a likable character.
That said, I still hate Gage. He's slightly less disgusting in this book, but acts like a defensive man child whenever things don't go his way. Heath had a smidge of character growth, but I still wouldn't care if he perished. Flint is a hollow character with clear plot responsibilities. Namely, to be the nice guy and point out obvious things to the other buffoons.
All the secondary characters are either barely developed, or complete caricature bad guys.
I'm left both wanting to know what happens to Freya AND not wanting to experience the other characters anymore.

Sooo spicy!!

Aaaahhhh!!!!! There was so much SPICE!!! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ And action!!!! Freya may have had her self worth shattered by the Ironwood Pack her whole life… But she is pretty badass and gives zero fux about facing down danger even though she can’t shift into her wolf.

Heath and Gage have finally pulled their heads out of their butts and accepted their feelings toward her and I love that Flint has remained true to who he’s always been and has been the one to suggest that once she’s done with her heat (which holy rusted metal Batman… be prepared 🥵💦), she’ll choose all three of them as her mates. Ooohhh! And we finally get a glimpse into Rowan!! The fourth Alpha member of Howling Echo. Something tells me he’s going to rival Flint as my favorite lmao

I can’t say much more without giving away the book and I’m not one for spoilers… But I will say, get ready for some serious a$$ whipping and revenge 🫶🏻🙌🏻🤌🏻🙏🏻 I’m off to read the 3rd book 😉

I love this series. I am heartbroken that the next book comes out on August 1 and I have to wait. This is a story about Freya and how she has been treated and how she is treated now. She was forced to leave the Ironwood pack or die. Freya was on outcast lands where everything goes. While she is trying to stay alive she ran into Flint. Flint brought her back and now she is a part of the Howling Echo pack and goes into a heat. The men must help her through the heat. Now that she is part of the Howling Echo pack, she has been kidnapped. What will Gage, Flint and Heath do to bring her back? Will Rowan show up?

Wow! I couldn't put it down. This is such a great continuation of a great series. I love that it isn't all the stereotypical shifter tropes, and things are going in new directions. Freya is developing into a great, strong female lead and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Hot, hot, hot scenes with all three guys, and lots of action in and out of the bedroom. Plenty of story development and plot too, with new twists getting added to keep things interesting. I am eagerly waiting for the next book to see where things go.

There's not a whole lot that happens in this book other than aaaalllll the spicy scenes! With 3 alphas and Freya in her heat, she was taken care of...over and over again. It wore the guys out! Haha! And then she has a dream, follows the dream, and disappears. So yeah, it's a smutty filler book that ends in another cliffhanger. By now I'm kind of invested in this story of 3 males & 1 female aaaaand the rogue alpha we only know by name. (Whom, if I understand this, could also be one of Freyas' mates?)

I read this book a while ago and it appears I haven't reviewed it yet.
So it's book two in a series and you must read book one first. It's a hell of a tail about wolf shifters and a strange woman who is a wolf shifter but unable to shift. She is also so much more than that.
There is some magnificently written steamy sex in here. Quite graphic but oh so good.
You'll have to read the book though to find out. Over 18s only.

I hate when I do this. I assumed there was only 2 books and I knew there would be more grrr.
Now have to wait very patiently for the next one now.
When you find a series as good as this, makes you wanna scream and cry knowing you have to wait for the next one.
I’m always one for waiting till a series is complete to start it. Now I’m left feeling like a idiot for not double checking first

Omg a lot of stuff went down in this book! We find out Freya is half-wolf and half-mage, she has her heat and all of her guys help her through it, Gage saves Freya by taking out Nira and becoming alpha for Frost Fang, Freya is out for 15 days because of a wolfsbane poisoning, Gage mate marks her without consent and she gets kidnapped by her aunt and ironwood pack. It was intense the whole time on to the third!

Omg! I wanted to smack Heath (one of the MMC in the MFC harem) upside the head. Some men never learn do they 🙄. Him & Gage (the pack leader of their reverse harem) are always stumbling like fawns on new legs.
Between the spice and all the action I can decide which I liked more. It was so well balanced I didn’t feel like either element was short changed.
This story does leave on a cliffhanger so I’m off to book 3.

Not bad. I saw a lot of review where people loved the FMC because she was strong. I find her a tad annoying because she keeps thinking about the obvious and refuting it. Like oh they are just using me for my body. Uh, lady, you know they are your mates so yeah stop it. And then she's like oh but flint is my mates but not the others. Hoe, stop it. You know witches have multiple.

P.s. not gage turning bi and being totally oblivious to it.

waiting for book 3

I had no idea there was a 3rd book until I finished the second. I usually wait till the whole series is out before I read anything. This caught be by surprise but luckily it’s supposed to be out in June or so I’ve read. It’s a good series. The fmc is just a bit all over the place in book 2. Hopefully her spark and tenacity comes back in book 3.

Totally Enjoyable

I loved the second book in this series. Traci Lovelot has written characters that are entertaining, sexy and strong. Freya is a strong female lead that with the help of the Howling Echo pack finds her inner strength. Thank you Traci for writing this very entertaining story and I look forward to reading the next adventure for the Howling Echo pack.

Another one I couldn't put down. Honestly loved seeing the dynamics growing between them, though so glad finally in book 3 it seems we get to meet the mysterious Rowan. Though must admit I was hoping for a bit more of battle before a certain character lost her life. But maybe the next one on the lists death will be better.
