Interesting little story with plausible characters, and an intriguing plot.
The spicy part is well-embedded, and well-written.
I had a good time reading it.
It also made me curious about the rest of the series, which I will eventually check out.

Read Body Count prior to this one, and it was just as quick of a read. The only thing is that I wish it would’ve lead into what happened afterwards

Tis the season to be… dead.
In true Diamond fashion, he can’t keep himself out of a mess, in more ways than one. He can’t keep his mouth shut or his pants up.
This time it had the slightest Christmas flavor with dark overtones just as the title suggests. This was possibly my favorite part of it, despite Diamond being the man he is, he wants to see justice done to those who need it most
Can’t say a whole lot without spoiling it. But it was satisfying, intriguing, and as the string of women Diamond collects, leaves the reader wanting more and waiting for it to be written.

Dark, smutty satisfying Danny and his partner are invited to party but it’s all smoke and mirrors and a black Christmas but not before lights out and a shout. Dark sinister smutty mystery . Steamy dark mystery right up my alley . Well written compelling read

Original origin story
If you’re familiar with the authors Danny Diamond tales this is a telling of why he left the police force and became the hard bitten Private Detective with a penchant for sex that he is. A worthy addition to the series likely to spark further tales. If you haven’t read the earlier releases you should rectify that immediately.

In true Danny Diamond fashion, he can't keep his hands and other parts to himself when it comes to gorgeous women who catch his eye, especially wives of assholes. This tale is a dark reflection on one of Diamond's worst memories reflected in other stories. There's a side to him in this story that makes us remember that he's a real person, with real feelings and flaws. Not that we don't know that already, but Mr. Black captures the melancholy that surfaces when what's right is not always what's easy and how Diamond chooses to handle that. Another stellar work in this riveting series.

This was a short read full of mystery, crime, and spice! When 2 detectives are praised for finding a murderer and are invited to a party thrown by a powerful judge. Only the murderer isn't the one who did the killin and I smell a cover up. Detective Diamond has had enough and cant deal with all the lies anymore and neither can the judges wife, as they keep each other company only to get caught in the process. Diamond loses his job and his partner all over a pretty skirt. This was my 1st book by this author and honestly I can't wait to read more!

Another short read that I finished in under an hour. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

This is a dark, spicy mystery. Danny is a very interesting and alluring character! I really enjoyed this intriguing story. It’s a short story with a few heart-stopping moments. A very good read.

This is a dark and spicy mystery. Danny is a very interesting character and his inability to keep his hands to himself, well, more than his hands, lol!, is quite entertaining. Expect to get caught up in the mystery, suspense and steam when you dive into this fun read. Can't wait for more ;D

Great short story
The story of a detective being honored for solving a crime by getting a punk to confess. Then finding out he was innocent but being told to close the case for political reasons.

I really loved this little Christmas novella. The characters, plot, and story are great! I can't get enough of The Danny Diamond series! Definitely recommend you checking out these novellas!!!

Spicy Noir
My wife had gotten me The Money Shot when I'd discovered there were 2 novellas. This reads like a spicy Dashiell Hammett. Count me in for more of Danny Diamond!

What a terrific plot.
Logan Black Has nailed this detective story.
Sensational characters - especially the main character - Danny.
Beautifully crafted descriptive prose - especially in the scenes that stir the plot!
If you enjoy a little spicy mystery this is a must read!

For a short novella, this was a pretty good story. Got a little spicy towards the end, but I just enjoyed the build of the characters. I definitely need to know more. A mystery to be found out and closed! Can you determine who the killer is?
