"Murdered to Moksha"- a book by Ketki Borgaonkar and Rohit Shetty
Rohit thank you for gifting me this book even before the official release ! Starting was indeed shocking and aroused hell lot of curiosity in me ! Story is interesting and emotional. Many poems could be seen highlighting its presence in the story. Language was simple and easy to read. Revelation note of Esha at the end of the story made my eyes wet. The delicate issue which you have picked up in the story is quite appreciable. The info. Parts related to it will prove helpful in spreading awareness among the readers. Don't worry I am not revealing the name of that delicate issue as the plot of your story is based on that only. let readers find out themselves. I just felt at some places some events got stretched unnecessarily. But your story is certainly different and soul stirring. Ketki and Rohit good job done !
This story is also a story of Aarav. His struggle +love life + suffering+disappointment+dissatisfaction !!!! Title is apt for the story "Murdered to Moksha".
My ratings 4/5. All the best guys !!! Keep rocking and keep writing
“Murdered to Moksha” is a heart wrenching love story. If you are an emotional person, it will surely move you to tears. And, I guess the success of the book lies in the fact that it has the ability to emotionally move any sane person reading the book.
The story starts on a gripping note where Aarav Rathode is sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his ailing wife. The start of the story would definitely catch the attention of all readers. The story proceeds with Aarav reminiscing about the integral events of his life which finally led to the catastrophe.
There are plenty of moments in the book when I felt like crying. It is the way the author has narrated the incidents that you would feel that not only the protagonists of the book, but you are also suffering from the setbacks and the testing times.
The climax of the book made a lump form in my throat and I kept on contemplating about the story for hours even after closing the book. On the flip side, the narration of the first half of the book was not as strong as the second half of the book.
Nevertheless, Murdered to Moksha is a book that will stay with you for long, even after you have finish reading the book. But yes, the tragedy and pathos of the book will definitely break your heart.
Murdered to Moksha By Ketki Borgaonkar & Rohit Shetty Review By Ila Garg
Murdered to Moksha is a novel by Ketaki Borgaonkar & Rohit Shetty, published by FirstStep Publishing. The book is decorated in the form of a very apt cover page. With lot of blood and handprints, it indeed qualifies as a captivating cover! The title is interesting too.
Ketki Borgaonkar is a BMM Graduate, currently pursuing her Post Graduation in Advertising. Writing is her passion. Rohit Shetty is academically a Chemical Engineer and a jubilant author, a passionate poet and a very dynamic person. Both the authors are based in Mumbai. This is their first work together.
To find out whether Aarav and Esha were unhappy in the matrimonial bond or not, what made their future so blurry, whether Aarav’s father’s rejection helped him grow as a person or not, what was Esha’s role in Aarav’s success, what made him murder her, was he really guilty or just a victim of circumstances; you will have to read the novel, Murdered to Moksha.
'Yay' Factors: The delicate issue which you have picked up in the story is quite appreciable.
'Nay' Factors: Few editing errors which can be considered equivalent to blunders.
I would still suggest it as a must read for anyone who likes to read mystery novels. A job well done Ketni and Rohit, just be sure to get the book properly edited before it goes in the next print.
‘Murdered to Moksha’ is an emotional journey to moments solace. A man who is convicted of murdering his wife feels contended with what he had attempted to do, on being forced by the brutal twists fate. Intellects question whether he is a murderer or a victim of faith but the underlying truth is even bitter. How can a spouse be at peace after being parted away from another? How balanced and justified it is if it involves tending a small kid as well?
Starting from a captivating title – the readers will almost instantly get gripped into its captivity, the graphics and effects used on the book cover further curtail the imaginations of the readers to wander off and then the story serves the purpose of being the nail in the coffin. It is an emotional story raising concern about a sensitive social cause based on the backdrop of an otherwise happy and successful couple.
Read this story to witness how week sometimes the strongest of the lot become and life doesn’t moves as planned. The journey uphill from nobody to somebody and then from somebody to everybody for someone and then downhill from nobody to everybody; this is a story that has the entire thrill, suspense, twist, message and a call to action.
“Murdered to moksha” is a poignant tale of a young man and his wife, who struggle through the battles of life and fail, eventually. The plot of the story has all the elements of a perfect story- an arrogant- rich father, a gentle- modest hero, a love triangle, jealousy, a supportive friend, a loyal wife, a beautiful daughter and a heart breaking end. The story runs at a comfortable pace and forces the reader to finish the book in one go. Intriguing, absorbing, entertaining, relatable- are some of the adjective that I would use for describing this work. The author has tried to portray the characters uniquely and he has been successful in his attempt. Where Aarav is shown as a calm and determined character, his wife (Esha) is shown as loyal and modest character, such that both balance each other perfectly. The most gripping aspect of this story is the flawless depiction of various relationships simultaneously- father-son bond, father-daughter bond, bond between best friends and relationship between husband and wife. The end of the story, although predictable, leaves a lump in your throat. Lastly, the author has given an insight into what is euthanasia, which is commendable.
Overall, a must read with a tinge love. Good effort by the author.
Murdered to Moksha by Ketki Borgaonkar and Rohit Shetty
Reading a book written by one of your best friends is a great experience especially when it is her debut novel. I was eagerly waiting for its release.
To begin with the story, it had a brilliant start, the first two chapters were well written; not to forget the chapter in which the protagonists get married. It kept up with the interest level. The language used in the book is simple enough to be understood. The story line highlighted being a controversial issue in traditional Indian society is still waiting to make its way.
The story portrays many aspects which are good enough to film a bollywood movie. It goes in a fast forward mode. Taking it in a positive way it keeps the reader glued. But, in this mode some abruptness is also seen.
I would still suggest it as a must read for anyone who likes to read mysterious novels and also medical fictions.
