Ugh! This book, no this whole series irritated the crap out of me. I did not like Lydia and her flaky personality. This whole series was a waste of my time. I tortured myself with finishing this series because curiosity got the best of me. I did not like Jeremy. I didn't like the betrayal. Jeremy was supposed to be a good friend and keep an eye or for the one woman that Mike said he couldn't live without and what does he do???? He goes and sleeps with her and then had the nerve to feel threaten when Mike comes back into the picture. I should've stopped at book one when nothing interesting happened until 80%, but I told myself don't DNF it. Give it a chance. Ugh! I'm going to go with my gut feeling next time. For those of you that liked it, I'm Happy you enjoyed it but this just wasn't for me.

I'd like to say that this book was better than the first two, and in some ways, it was. Nevertheless, the ending just didn't feel finished. Lydia, Mike, and Jeremy become a threesome against traditional norms, and the reader is just left hanging as to how they intend to pull it off.

If Lydia weren't somewhat traditional and come from a large, meddling family, the ending would have worked. Madge was the only one who was truly outrageous while the others seemed to value hearth and home. I'm not sure the quite nontraditional relationship the three were entering would ever be looked at in a positive light by any of the family let alone work for eternity.

The other part of the book that was unfinished was the relationship between Krysta and Caleb. Would they, should they, did they ever get together? Unless there's another book, which I probably wouldn't buy, I'll never know.

I loved the first two books in this series. The first book drew me and left me wanting more Lydia and Mike/Matt. The second book was just as great and added Jeremy into the story line and yes that book left me wanting so much more and asking when will the next book be out. This third book in the series has quenched my thirst for Mike, Lydia and Jeremy. I thought the first two books were hot boy was I wrong! All I can say is WOW! Julia Kent has really done it this time! This book had me laughing, tearing up, even crying in some places in this book. Lydia's grandmother Madge from Jeddy's is in this book as is her brother Caleb - who is so flustered by conversations he hears between Lydia and Krystal! Julia Kent is amazing as she brings into this story Alex and Ed from her other series. I will not give away anything because you need to read this book and this series! I know you will love Lydia, Mike and Jeremy as much as I did. I had the honor of reading an ARC copy of this book and as always Julia Kent wrote an amazing story in which the characters come to life and draw you into their lives. Thank you Julia Kent!

I'm not really sure what to say about this series. I don't regret reading it and enjoyed it to a certain extent. Would I recommend it? probably not. There is so much better out there.

In the end, I think I'm disappointed because I expected it to be better than it was. Julia created wonderful characters that I am absolutely in love with!!! The Charles family is absolutely delightful and I would happily read stories about each of her brothers, especially Caleb and Miles. The problem is that I fear more disappointment.

My issue isn't so much the plot but the overall story arc. Certain parts feel dragged out and overwritten while others feel totally ignored. There is great writing here but it lacks a certain direction or maturity that a really good editor could help with.

No plans to read anything else by the author at this time. While the other story blurbs sound interesting, I'm just not confident in her ability to pull it off to my satisfaction.

I love Julia's stories. She is an excellent wordsmith and her plots are so inventive. Her stories carry you along at a fast pace.

I have been looking forward to the outcome of Lydia, Mike and Jeremy's romance and it was worth the wait. I can only imagine how complicated it must be trying to cope with life in general and a menage relationship too.

I like that she includes characters from her other books and they all interweave. It's like meeting old friends again. I love Madge and I'm glad she got a bigger part in this story. She is the constant that links all the tales together.

The humour in Deliciously Obedient is of Julia's usual high standard and the erotic scenes are as raunchy, but also romantic and above all, loving, as Julia portrays them.

I look forward, eagerly, to Julia's next story.

The third and final book in this series, Julia and Jeremy return from Iceland and finally everyone converges in Maine and we finally find out if Lydia, Mike and Jeremy will make it a triad….but I think we all know the answer to that.

I finished the series (damn my OCD), but it reinforced exactly why I try to stay away from serialized stories like this - it had potential as one book, but it wasn’t a good enough story to stretch over three.

This book was as good as the 1st book in the series! Julia Kent does so well with making you fall in love with her characters. Lydia, Mike, & Jeremy were totally made for each other! Not only do they care for each other the sex was off the charts! HOT, HOT, HOT! I also laughed out loud so many times with Madge & her comments! Love her!! Also, the scenes at Jeddy's with Lydia & Krysta talking & Caleb overhearing! Hysterical!!

The emotional charge in this book will keep you on you toes. I loved every minute spent on this book. I really loved the next book in the Julia Kent family. I love how she incorporates characters from other books, but the background is in no way is a necessity to enjoy the current book. It's fun to see what past characters are up to. Plus, this book had a great story line and plenty of hot scenes. As always a Julia Kent star book. :)

I cant say how much I loved the conclusion of this series. Jeremy was my favorite and rooted for him from the start but then I fell in love with Michael and hoped she choose him instead. Back and forth I went until the end when I saw what was going to happen. Great ending and I hope to see a book for Caleb and Mara...Please julia keep them coming and fast

Julia Kent does it again! She is wrapping up her Obedient series with all the laughs and plot twists you expect.
As the third installment to the series all, the characters are highly developed and you feel as if you are greeting old friends. Some of the characters from her other series weave into the plot as well. This gives you a sense of security that the characters you have come to love are still out there having fun and being funny.
Lydia comes home from Iceland to lick her wounds and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Michael is still hiding from the world. Jeremy tags along with Lydia for the ride.
Bringing home a hot tall Nordic looking guy raises some eyebrows at her family’s campground.

“It turns out you brought a Viking home, after all,” Miles said slowly. ~Lydia’s brother commenting on Jeremy

With things in full swing at the campground no one notices that a guest, Mike, is really the hiding Michael. Therefore, the family goes along with life and Lydia tries to decide what to do next as she bunks with Jeremy. Actually falling for Jeremy comes easier with out Michael in the picture.
Lydia’s friend Krysta comes to the campground to help get Lydia motivated to the next phase of her life. Of course, the girls end up discussing sex and all things male.

Even though Lydia is having the sex of her life, she still is confused. She has no idea what she wants to do, or if Jeremy is the man to be with especially since, she is having dreams about Michael and Jeremy.
Even discussing it with Krysta does not help.

Lydia’s grandmother, Madge, is quite the character. She has been in several of Ms. Kent’s novels. Her humor will have you rolling on the floor laughing. When you think things are bad…you just need some Madge.

“Get away. All of you. I don’t need eight hands to help me climb out of a sedan. If I’m going to have eight hands on me, they’d better be attached to men wearing butt floss and dollar bills tucked in places not meant for sunlight.” ~Madge, Lydia’s grandmother wanting everyone to let her be

Jeremy gives Lydia the chance to find out what is still driving her toward Michael. He loves her and is willing to chance what ultimately could be for all three of them.

“Perfect love means no fear. Only a deep knowing, groundedness that comes from wanting the most for each other.” ~Jeremy describing love to Lydia

From hot sex scenes to serene fall days on the campground, this is the perfect way to end a series. Happiness, sorrow and love. The Obedient series has it all in spades. Plot twists, heartbreak and travel.
Fall in love with Ms. Kent’s characters every time you read one of her novels. She never disappoints. Well written and thought out plot lines. Highly developed and engaging characters make her one of the best writers you will ever read. In addition, side splitting humor keep you interested in the fate of her personalities.

I'm writing my review for this three book series as one review because it should have been a stand alone.

Apparently there's another series about this threesome but I won't be reading it.

This series is in desperate, desperate need of an editor. I'll say that again. It's in desperate need of an editor.

I repeated myself because there are chunks of these books that literally repeat themselves. For instance, there is a conversation about anal sex that happens for the first time, twice. Yes, you've read that correctly. A first conversation that happens, word for word, twice.

The beginning of book one is rushed as though it's overdosed on caffeine.
The endings of book three take so long it's like it's being dragged through treacle. Sticky and uncomfortable but not in a good way. I got angry. Not motivated by plot but by the repetition, lag and wastefulness of the plot.

I've read Julia Kent books before and they weren't as awful as this.
I've read multipartner books before and they weren't as unfocused or uncomfortably unbelievable as this.

Also, the hero worship of Fifty Shades of Grey is never ending in these books. It's extremely over the top and leans away from flattering, fangirling to stalker, obsessive, annoying territory.

It is far and away lazily written.

For instance, in book one the second guy, Jeremy, is introduced into the romance as Matt/Mike's friend who lifts weight with him. They don't do it in Mike's building because the building gym is like Barbie toys. Dinky weights that will do nothing. As Matt/Mike is in disguise, he can't be seen at their normal gym, so they go running instead.

Lazy plot leads us back to Jeremy and Mike doing heavy, full weight workouts in his Barbie like, building gym in book three. Cause, that's a thing now. Just annoying to read especially after seeing so much lazy editing throughout the three books.

I don't like this series and I may never read any more of her books because of it. Which is a pity because I quite liked her characterisations in previous ones.

Wow – It was so easy to fall in love with this novel. Forget that it was hot with amazing love scenes written amazingly well, you also have characters that were all so charismatic with real life, down to earth qualities. That in and of itself kept me reeling, loving and hurting, and laughing with them. The Author has an amazing sense of humor and infused that into her writing with amazing results. I could not help but laugh out loud. You have a witty family that is down to earth leading the charge, and then you throw in 2 super HOTT guys who bring in more to the story than I could have imagined, and a best friend who is a unforgettable addition. Julia not only caught the love triangle and romance piece of this, but she also managed to expertly grasp sibling relationships that kept me thinking back to my own brothers shaking my head cause it was so close to home. I was truly excited to turn the pages and continue on reading no matter which direction this story took because there was so much depth in the writing. I honestly feel that the author knew exactly when to change the POV of her writing so that you could see the story from multiple angles without losing the depth that made this story so wonderful. Often times I feel lost in the feelings and thoughts of the other characters because this is missed – well that is not the case here. There was just so much written on the pages of this novel there is no way that you could read it and not come to love all of the characters that made this story so dimensional. From the Hot Viking boyfriend to the sexually repressed brother to the TMI grandmother there is not one character you will not love, add to that a Story that you will want to read again and again and you have a 5 star winner !

It comes as no surprise to me that Julia Kent has created another masterpiece in this last book in the Obedient trilogy. You don’t necessarily have to read the first two books to enjoy this one, but it would definitely enhance the experience if you do. Plus the first two books completely rocked, so if you haven’t read them do yourself a favor and do so ASAP.

I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. I couldn’t wait for this last book to come out, and I was not disappointed when I received it. Julia Kent has a way of drawing you in almost from word one, and you can’t help but become invested in her characters’ lives. This applies not only to the primary characters, but to all the secondary characters as well. This book is no exception.

I was so happy to see Lydia, Jeremy, and Mike again. I loved that Julia wrote the book from each character’s point of view. If you’ve read the first two books and/or Julia’s other books, you’ll be happy to see some of the other characters you know and love like Dr. Alex, Ed, Lyidia’s brothers and parents, and of course, the hilarious Madge.

This book is incredibly HOT HOT HOT, yet also romantic. It is also completely hilarious at other points in the book. You will run the gamut of emotions with this book, and love every minute of it! Once you start reading, you will not want to put it down, Do yourself a favor and buy this book now! As I said, I received an ARC, but I would have been more than happy to pay full price for it.

The first 2 books show Lydia fall in love with Mike/Matt. He sends her away to Iceland to protect her and also sends his best friend Jeremy to "take care of her". And that he does!

Deliciously Obedient brings Lydia back home to her family campground where Mike has been hiding out for a month under their noses! To add some drama she has brought Jeremy with her! After Connecting in Iceland Lydia and Jeremy begin to notice a connection deeper than the physical. Meanwhile she can't stop thinking about Mike.

Julia Kent has written the ending that we all knew was coming for the trio. It was hinted in the first book. But the journey to get there is what kept me reading. The infamous Madge makes an impactful appearance in this book. Which takes us on an unexpected detour that ultimately helps Lydia realize that what she really wanted all along could actually be her reality, if she gives in to it.

I love the way Julia Kent sets up a scene and makes you feel like you are there with the characters as a bystander or even a fly on the wall. She creates an environment that you are able to immerse yourself into. You are not just a voyeur but an involved entity.

I am a big fan of this series and I like how this author writes her books to tie all of her series in one form or another there are characters from another in them. In this book Jeremy and Lydia are back and heading for her families camp not realizing that Mike is there and has been there for awhile. In this book all three people realize what they want and what they are wiling to do to get it. Jeremy had a connection with Lydia since he first met her but the more time he spends with her the more he realizes he is not just with her because of Mike but because he is falling in love with her. Lydia can feel her self falling for Jeremy but there is a part of her that keeps dreaming of having two men at once as well as the feelings she still has for Mike pop up at the worst of times. Mike knows he still loves Lydia and feels that everything he has ever done was to make sure that she was happy. In this book they all learn what makes them happy, what they need to do to keep that happiness, and how to know what you are wiling to fight for to win the ultimate prize in the end. I would recommend this book to anyone

There are thousands of books to choose from in the many genres of romance on any given day…. and I can honestly say I've read at least a thousand. Julia Kent is an author who makes you want to read a thousand more…

This is serious is yet another example of the author's ability to create situations that are so extraordinary you don't want to believe they happened. Yet as the story unfolds Ms. Kent makes not only the situations believable but also the responses, reactions and emotions to the craziness by the hero and heroine to be believable and real.

For me this trilogy had me feeling deeply right along with the cast of characters. A cast of characters that I liked for all of their strengths, weaknesses, impure and hearts some hardened, some vulnerable but all needing a dose of love. As always, she writes great secondary characters and brings in little cameos of heroes and heroines we've met in her other series, I love that.

So, if you are planning to read an erotic romance this one is great- please start with book one and enjoy!

I really want to be able to give this the 5 stars that I think that it deserves, but quite honestly it just ended far too soon.

I am more interested in seeing how their relationship would have developed once they were all together, because quite honestly, I would like to have known how that would have worked, like on a day to day level. Seriously. How does that work?

Can I also say that from the onset, I would NEVER have imagined that this was would be a (love) story about a threesome. Don't get me wrong I liked it, but I wasn't getting that vibe from the very first story.

I thought that the relationship between Mike and Lydia would have been enough, but then we build up this relationship with Jeremy too, who has his own demons rolling around and then we're into a threesome that I didn't think Mike would want to be in. It's possible that this series could have been longer and worked. There were so many things that were being hinted about, but nothing really developed. So yeah, I liked it. A lot. But there still could/should have been more.

This is the last book in the series but don't worry I am sure we will hear about this group sometime in another books somewhere down the line (true to Julia Kent form *which i love**). So Lydia and Jeremy are in Maine and Mike is there as well. Madge is in the hospital and we all get to see Alex (Ed's grandson who we know from a Random book) and every is rallying around the family.

What will happen with the Lydia, Jeremy and Mike? Better yet what will the family think about Mike being under their noses the entire month what will they think about their daughter's choice in her relationship?

As with all of Julia Kent's books they are hot as fire and she ties them up nicely and not one of those bam the book is over endings either! Great series and Now I am going to go re-read all the Random Acts books because now I can't remember if Caleb hooked up with anyone yet and it is driving me crazy. Grab all of the books and read them. All of them are good and they all have some cross over into each other which makes them fun.

First, you should know that this book is the third in a series and you really need to have read the other two books first. Secondly, if you haven't already read the first two books, what are you waiting for??? This is an exciting series with plenty of plot twists and emotional moments to keep you reading, and more than enough sexy scenes to keep you extremely satisfied. I feel that Ms. Kent has hit a new high with her writing in this book. I especially enjoyed that the book is written from the viewpoint of all three of the main characters (Lydia, Jeremy, Matt/Mike). I won't spoil the ending for you, except to say that you will be well pleased, and perhaps hoping that Ms. Kent revisits these characters in her future work.

I love the way the book just flows from the last book it didn't miss a beat. I hate when there is a series and each book feels like 3 different books not Julia's books. Funny and sexy as he'll book.

Jeremy is an amazing man to stick with Lydia when knowing she was in love with his best friend Mike. He helped heal her more than she could have done on her own.

Mike did his best to disappear but him going to Lydia's parents campground was what he needed to settle his heart. He knew he would do anything to get Lydia back.

Lydia is hurt and confused she is in love with best friends but she doesn't know if she'll ever see Mike again so she goes to the camp ground with Jeremy hoping to get some perspective on her life. Her family is amazing compassionate and funny as hell.

Can the three of them work things out when they Mike finds out about Jeremy and Lydia? Or is Jeremy and Mike lose a friendship anyone would love to have.

It is so much nicer being able to read a series/serial like this all at once. No waiting for the next book to be released. Just a nice marathon read. OR in this case re-read.

I adore the delicious characters that Julia Kent creates. Even the billionaires seem like the people next door. If you are a fan, then you know that her characters stroll in and out of all of her books. I forgot that about her stories until I re-read this and saw characters that were in another series of hers. It's like watching a soap opera. This week features this character, next week someone different, but this character does a walk on. It is so much fun getting to know all of the characters. I think that is why I love reading Ms Kent's books.

With this myriad of characters to choose from, Ms Kent has a long and illustrious writing career ahead of her. Although her characters stroll around a lot, there are still many characters that need there own books. I look forward to reading them.

Three and a half stars

What can I possibly say about a book that's all about love, society norms, and how to heal and forgive? There's no explosive plot or stunning revelations. There's no mystery, or darkness. Somehow this book manages to be okay without the things that I usually look for in a book. There's a little comedy here, but not quite as much as in the first book. I got the first installment in a $0.99 set of books and loved it. This woman's malicious obedience had me laughing so hard there were tears rolling down my face. It's necessary to start with the first book or you'll be a bit lost. This is a good book to read if you are looking for a light read about nothing but love and family. Those of you that like your stories mixed with a bit of darkness, action, mystery...This series will make you laugh but leave you a bit disappointed.
