She wasn’t supposed to fall for me, but I should have known the second she walked into my town my life would never be the same. She claimed me. And I wasn’t sure how long I could resist the temptation to make her mine.

Kelsey Summers never wanted to give her heart to Liam Castle, the wolf who’d been promised to her since birth, but the fates had other plans, and she could no longer ignore her feelings now that she’d claimed him as her mate.

Liam Castle would do anything to honor his pack. They’re family, and as their heir prince, their safety is his responsibility. He never expected anyone could mean more to him than duty. And then she turned his life upside down.

Someone in the pack betrayed them, but the person the hunter points the finger at will rock the entire pack if accused. Not to mention what it will do to Liam. Together, Liam and Kelsey will uncover the truth at all costs—even if it means tearing their families apart.

*Liam is book two in a shifter romance duet. This is the conclusion to the story and DOES NOT end on a cliffhanger. Tropes include wolf shifter, f0rced proximity, fated mates, touch her and dxx, and paranormal magic. This book is recommended for 18+ due to language and adult situations.

exhausting

This felt like a never ending ride of annoyingly bratty characters who kept circling round and round and round. I couldn’t tell you the character arc these characters have gone through. I can’t particular tell you the romantic arc as it was pretty much the same in the two books except for a few pages at the end. For all the subterfuge the conflict ended like a loud clanging cymbal. Did not enjoy it, and I’m a pretty easy reader to please.

This series was completely ruined by the authors need to make the mcs use dreadful nicknames every single sentence.
He called her “pup” she called him “princeling”
Neither of these are cute or sweet. It’s cringeworthy and not in the good way

Liam de J.L. Weil duologia Moonstruck Mates libro 2

Argumento:

Se suponía que ella no debía enamorarse de mí, pero debería haber sabido que en el momento en que ella entró en mi ciudad mi vida nunca volvería a ser la misma. Ella me reclamó.

I dont know how this got such a high review.

It was boring and nothing really happened. Just went round and round in circles about how they feel for each other. I felt it was lacking in chemistry as well as plot.
It could have been with so much, it was just lacking

Sadly, not as good as the first one in the sober light of day. There was a lot of unnecessary pining that didn’t end up mattering at all

Too YA and drama just for the sake of drama. Oh and my favorite a know it all 17 year old…they know everything and the rest of us older people with experience no nothing, attitude. Also it’s just the MMC’s POV versus Kelsey’s with a few added things. And the story just runs in circles..quite tiring.

I have the same review for this book as I did the first one. I do think this duology could be great IF it were properly edited.

There is a lot of the author repeating herself of contradicting herself. Leith followed Liam into the bunker and was standing next to him when he opened the door to where Kelsey was being held. But then Leith isn’t present for them leaving the bunker and the very next time he is mentioned he “shouldn’t be here, he’s supposed to be in the woods fighting.”

The main characters keep going back and forth between sticking together and forced distance as if they never even learn.

It took FOREVER for this book to actually get anywhere. The conclusion felt very rushed and didn’t make sense. Yes. Kelsey took care of some Metas and the guys fought rogues and then Liam and Leith killed their dad. But what about the hundreds or thousands that Kelsey saw coming in her visions. There is no way she stopped all of them with one move when she was so weak.

Hopes entire personality changed after Halloween she was strong and a badass, and then she become weak and fearful of everything.

Again. I do think these books are good. I think with proper editing all of these issues could be fixed and the books would be even better. The story just isn’t quite there yet and still needs work.

Liam’s book is dual POV it was a nice change! I wish Kelsey’s book would have had some of Liam in it.

I want to get this one a full 5 ⭐️s but I have to give it 4.5 ⭐️only bc it book started out really strong! Then the last maybe 3 or 4 chapters it was rushed and had mistakes. An example was when Leith was with Liam when they went to look for Kelsey and then he wasn’t, and a Liam’s mom knew the truth, but wasn’t part of the situation. But it really felt rushed. I felt like the author could really get into the characters head and draw out details, but then when major things were happening it got jumpy and fast. Also we never find out certain details you get left hanging. I do wonder if her guard made it.

Ok so on that note I loved this duet! It was a different spin on fated mates which is really fun. The magic was also a different style. The side characters were just as good I do with there would have been more of them. Again the MMC got lost in their head a lot and not a lot happened.

I do recommend this duet I liked it. But some parts were hard to read.

I was so excited to read this book especially getting more from Liam's POV. It was great to get in his head a little and to see how he sees everything and especially his connections with Kelsey.

The story picks up where it left off and Kelsey has to deal with the consequences! It was great to see her interaction with more of her pack. Similarly with Liam, I really wish we got more of their relationship with their friends since its is implied they have such great connections with them and I think it would have helped expand on Liam's personality more if we got more time of him with his boys

I could have definitely read a lot more books with these 2 and even expand on some of the side characters, especially Leith! He was for sure my favourite character!

A really great story and I always love this author!

This is the second book in the brand-new Moonstruck Mates series. The story picks up where it left off and Kelsey has to deal with the consequences! The banter between Kelsey and Liam just adds to the tension and the chemistry they share. Filled with chemistry, duty, betrayal, twist and turns. I loved the dual POVs in this book. I was sucked in from the beginning and didn't want to put this book down!

I really loved this series and so sad their story is over, the story in general was pretty damn cool and I loved their love/hate relationship.

But I still have so many questions.
The ending felt a tad rushed, some parts didn't quite link up, and what happened to Max? There was no mention of him at all in the end.

That being said, I really did enjoy this book and even with my brain wondering about a few things, I am sad to see this duo of books end.

In love with Liam. The camaraderie between the characters added wonderful dimensions to the story. The banter between Kelsey and Liam just adds to the tension and the chemistry they share. The strengths and depth of the characters just adds to the excitement and volatility of the story. The dual pov’s added great insight without being repetitive. Like I said. In love!!

✨Moonstruck Mates : Liam✨

Another good one! This was just as good as the first one. If you like shifter books, you’d really enjoy this and the first in the series.

The storyline had all of the elements needed to make a book like this not cheesy. It was suspenseful, endearing, angering, and just good! I really liked this one.

Betrayal

Not only are they bound by a contract made by their parents, they are soulmates. Moonstruck mates. She is one of a few wolves that also have magic. Someone else has found out and wants her power. Little did either of them know how close the enemy is to them. Can they survive the attacks and save not only themselves, but both their packs as well?

Loved this sequel. The banter between the characters is great feeling like a love/hate when really it's just a Love/Love. Liam is so protective of Kelsey even though she is more powerful than even she realises.

So boring and repetitive, it felt like a chore reading it. So finally I gave up🙈 And I was so excited about this one, I loved the first book! So I reread that to just soak it all in now, and it made me so sleepy! Oh well🥲

Moonstruck

Very good mf, fated mates, shifter duet. Well written and edited. The story does drag out very slowly and could have really been one book, but the writing flows, so just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

some issues but loves

I loved these books but there some issues with it. Like how in the first book her little brother was named Blake and in this second book his name is Noah. There were typos as well. But all in all these were very good books. The story was a nice change.
