Christy Barritt is an author, freelance writer and speaker who lives in Virginia. She’s married to her Prince Charming, a man who thinks she’s hilarious—but only when she’s not trying to be. Christy’s a self-proclaimed klutz, an avid music lover who’s known for spontaneously bursting into song, and a road trip aficionado. She’s only won one contest in her life—and her prize was kissing a pig (okay, okay… actually she did win the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Suspense and Mystery also). Her current claim to fame is showing off her mother, who looks just like former First Lady Barbara Bush
When she’s not working or spending time with her family, she enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and exploring small, unsuspecting towns where people have no idea how accident prone she is.

Most Likely to Die is a captivating, engaging story. I enjoyed the characters' development throughout this series and how each one bought their unique skills, knowledge, and strengths to the table as they solved crimes. I also enjoyed the romantic relationships that developed for some of the characters.
Barritt crafted a well-written, fast-paced story where the team faces pressures from every side as they work to bring down a powerful, evil man. I enjoyed the flashbacks which are important to this story. I hope that Barritt will write another series involving some of the other characters instrumental in assisting the Arctic Circle Murder team. This series is a must-read if you are a fan of true crimes.

This conclusion to the True Crime Junkies series set in Alaska offers another thrilling adventure with the team we don’t want to leave. Danger and mysteries continue to plague the Murder Club, with tension oozing from the pages. With members of the True Crime podcast facing threats on their lives, they press on to try to solve the crimes despite the threats and risks. An engaging and exciting drama, which makes readers long for more. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

Finally! We get Victor Goodman’s mystery! To be honest, it felt a little more anticlimactic than I’d hoped, but that could just be me. I’m really liking more of Gibson and hope one of the next two books feature him more prominently.

Ties Everything Up

End of the series. It was gripping suspense from the first page. The evil people who were present throughout the entry series got the just desserts!

Villains like Victor are hard for me to read about. They deeply disturb me, and I’m not sure why. I keep telling myself that good will triumph over evil.

Once again, Barritt draws readers into an exciting and engaging story. The team is getting hit from all sides, and it looks like evil will win. Andi faces extreme pressure from Victor as he threatens the people closest to her. Now that Duke has closure regarding Celeste, he wants to start a new life with Andi. But can that happen until Victor is behind bars? Will Victor ever be behind bars?

I’ve loved this series and how it has ended. Of course, with Barritt, does a series ever really end? I’m anticipating we may be back to the Arctic Circle to see what happens for Gibson and maybe even our pilot friend, Blaze.

Barritt has a talent for crafting stories that keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is full of twists and turns that leave you guessing until the very end. This book is no exception. It’s a thrilling ride from start to finish. The way Barritt weaves together suspense, romance, and faith is truly remarkable. Seeing how Andi grows in her own faith journey is impactful.

If you’re a fan of suspenseful, faith-based fiction, you won’t be disappointed with this book. It’s a fitting conclusion to a fantastic series, and I’m eagerly awaiting whatever Barritt has in store for us next.

Disclaimer: I did receive this book from the author, but was under no obligation to provide a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I have just finished reading this series.
The action is compelling and dialogue moves things along nicely.
For anyone who knows readers, who aren't believers, this is an excellent series to recommend. The Christian message is a part of the story , which grows from a tiny seed to being integral to the plot. I really enjoyed reading a 'non cringe' Christian book series I can recommend to others.
The basis of the story is a young lawyer is stitched up and loses her license to practice. She is seeking to discover why it was so important to Victor, that this happened ,and to bring him
down.
En route she meets up and joins up with a group of people who all have problems , or who are running away from their past. I find the way Barritt gets straight into the story and action very well written, each of her characters grows during each book, we learn more about them and they of one another. Their are clashes and quarrels along the way, making the stories more credible.
The focus of right over wrong is always kept central, in the actions of each person , use of weapons, words used etc.
I find this very comforting & encouraging in a world where truth and principles are constantly under threat.
The thought processes of individuals helps us to gain greater
Insight into them as people and involves us even more in the storytelling.
Please write some more to this series, or a spin off series, it feels as though I'm losing some friends...😢😢

4.25/5 stars. Christy Barrit never fails to bring a fast-paced mystery novel. Since first starting the series, I've grown to love the characters, the Alaskan wilderness, the backstories, the suspense, and the mysteries. This is the type of book that you start reading at page 1, and before you know it, you're already halfway through a 400-page book. The culprit is never the person you expect, and her plots are so unique and creative that it's hard to think how someone could have come up with that. Although all her series are amazing, I do think that after reading the 7 other books in the series, you kind of start seeing the overall path of every book. In the series, all books start with a problem, either linked to a character or a murder that has happened to someone else. Then, 3/4 of the book is dedicated to finding clues to who the killer might be. In the end, everything is resolved very quickly, and I think this is where the author could add some change. Instead of every book ending with a happy ending, I think it would be good to implement an ending where the culprit gets away with it (I'm sorry if I'm doing a poor job of explaining), so that the reader can feel that sadness and eagerness to know what happened to a character. Either way, her books never fail to disappoint me. I would recommend this book series to anyone, even more if you are stuck in a book slump.

The title for this one had me nervous so I dived right in...the first few chapters had me so frustrated!! How could Victor get SUCH an upper hand in this story? Totally figured out the murdered man in the hotel room was a complete setup. Despite any misgivings I had in the beginning (why does Dani always seem to be running for her life?), the story only gets BETTER with each chapter. This book also explains how Victor becomes the corrupt man he ends up being...I mostly skipped those chapters. I'm not invested in how evil develops and succeeds; I mostly want to see how evil is stopped.

My heart broke when the senator's plane went down.

Can't describe well enough how GOOD the writing is with this series, you truly FEEL everything these characters are going through. One main character betrays the group, but I felt bad for him because he didn't know what was going on. This book is probably one of my faves in the series, also enjoyed how the reporter and others who were not favorable to the group end up helping the group. Between Victor and the stormy weather and an assassin hunting them down and the crazy father of psycho-guy chasing Andi for revenge...these beloved characters needed all the help they could get.

Most Likely to Die by Christy Barritt is the stunning conclusion of this series. At least for now. There is plenty of action and movement throughout the entire story. Just the way I like it. As for the characters, their relationship professionally has grown a lot since the first book. A little more of characters using their personal strengths to help the team succeed. The romance between Duke and Andi come to a reality as they learn to lean on each other a little bit more than in the previous novels. There is a flashback thread that ties nicely with the ending of the series. Overall, the ending did leave me wanting more. Not to give any spoilers, but once the readers binge read this series, they’ll see what I mean. I’m sure there will be more stories by Barritt. She might even return to this series someday just so fans can see how they are doing.

I received a complimentary copy of Most Likely to Die by Christy Barritt, but the opinions stated are all my own.

"Someone had silenced the hit man. It sounded like the perfect title for their next true crime podcast."

Victor Goodman's reach seemed to penetrate infinity and beyond, anyone and everyone within his circle of influence was too traumatized or compromised to defy his edicts . . . . except of course, Andi Slade, who was determined to take down the corrupt business mogul. When Victor personally threatens her friends, Andi goes on the run, only to realize that working together with fellow "The Round Table" podcast members, makes a lot more sense than going it alone.

"But still, they were on borrowed time, and they all knew it."

What a fabulous finish to a series that pushed me beyond expectations of bated breath, edge of my seat, and happily-ever-afters! After eight books? I'm still ready for more.

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair . . . . " 2 Cor. 4:8

loved the entire series

This series was a bit different than a lot of series as the entire cast played heavily in each book. The dynamics of these relationships was a big part of what really drew me in. The suspense part was great with lots of twists and turns. The Alaska setting is amazing. It really brought to life the vastness, beauty and ruggedness of this great state. And of course the romance, not over the top but just enough to keep us rooting for the couples to get their happily ever after. I’m really hoping more comes out of this series, there are more people whose stories need to be told. For now, I will be in withdrawal LOL.
The first two books are out in audio with a good narrator, I’m really hoping the rest will follow as it brings even more depth to the stories!

I had a BETA copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Upon return to Alaska from Texas, Andi finds Victor and his goon in her apartment. He tells her to leave the state and leave him alone or her friends will pay. She pretends to leave, and leaves breadcrumbs for Duke to follow. At the motel she is found by Skeeter who attacks her, but she manages to tie him up and leave. Duke and Gibson find her and save her from Lockjaw. As their friends are being attacked and threatened, they continue to seek definite evidence against Victor. A great finish to this series and another great book by Christy Barritt.

Great Book!

Christie Barrett is a great writer. Her stories have depth, the characters have flaws and strengths adding interest, and it’s fun to try and figure out the next step in the mystery/suspense of solving the crime. I especially like that he books are clean and don’t have bad language. I can focus on the story, and not be sidetracked and slowed down by trashy, suggestive, events. Love that they’re Christian oriented, which gives the characters a foundation so choices are made based on morals and ethics. Hard to find that in many books! I recommend her books to everyone!!

Full of intrigue and gripping suspenseful moments, this book was impossible to put down. The danger was high, and so was my anxiety. Just when I’d think things couldn’t get worse, they did. I couldn’t read fast enough.

I’ve loved getting to know these characters throughout the series, and I’ve enjoyed seeing them overcome some seriously daunting (and dangerous) obstacles. I’ve been eager for the villain to get his comeuppance, and things come to a head quite spectacularly here.

While this book wraps up the longstanding mysteries of the series, I’m so glad this isn’t the end! I’m excited for this group of podcasting friends to solve more mysteries! I can’t wait for the next one!

Most Likely To Die?

I'm sad this series has died, but it leaves space and possibilities for another series with these people we love and feel are great friends! I love the way they think and put those thoughts I to action! All of Christie's people do that! She has several series to enjoy, staying awake because you can't put them down! I've spent many nights curled up with Christie Barrett! I will continue to do so, and invite you to join me! Cheers!

Thank you, Christie for blessing me God has gifted you for all of us!

I enjoyed this 8th book in the True Crime Junkies series. Barrett wraps up the ongoing investigation Andi is pursuing with the help of her true crime podcaster friends. The suspense is intense as they travel all over Alaska to bring an end to terrible criminal activity. She even adds chapters about the criminal's background. If you enjoy suspense, this is a stellar series that kept me reading well past bedtime. If you haven't read the series, start with book 1, Just the Nicest Person. I purchased a copy, and opinions are my own.

I have so enjoyed the True Crime Junkies Series by Christy Barritt and this one was no exception. Perhaps on their most dangerous case yet, Duke and Andi and the rest of the team work together and try to stay ahead of the bad guys and stay alive. Each book, including this one, has lots of twists and turns and unpredictable scenarios that kept me guessing. From the very beginning, Andi has set out to get evidence against Victor in all of his crimes, but he has been a pretty slippery character. Can hey finally get the evidence they need to put him away before he gets them?

Happy Ending ...or is it?

I loved this entire series. The characters were so well developed I couldn't wait to see what would happen to each one of them next. I loved the way there were new murders in each book but also some that continued throughout the series. I sure hope there are still more murders to come and where the lives of the characters will go. 5 Stars +for the series.

My thoughts: Most Likely to Die is the final book in this series and all questions are answered. I am sad to see this series finished and hope that someday Ms Barritt will be inspired to write more with these characters, fascinating plot lines, and Alaskan setting. In the meantime, I have books to read that I haven't finished in the series yet so I will be going back to catch up. I was given a copy free, and all opinions are my own.

Great Series Finale

Andi and Duke have weathered a lot. Can they make it through this latest push to bring Victor down?
This edge-of-your-seat final to the series will leave you satisfied, yet strangely wanting more. The cast have become friends throughout the series and it’s sad to bid them goodbye, yet Ms. Barritt knows how to tie up all those loose ends that have been scattered throughout the books and present the reader with a beautiful bow.

Great series!

The first book of the series started out a little slow, but I hung in there and it really paid off. I like how there were double murder mysteries, but related plots going on simultaneously. Each had its own draw to continue reading, but by the end revealed the Paul Harvey style "Rest of the story" connections. By the last book I felt like the podcasters and their friends were my old friends, too.

Amazing Book in a breathtaking series

I recently discovered Christy Barritt's books and am very impressed! She makes both her characters and the wildly beautiful Alaskan landscape come to life. Her characters all have a somewhat troubled past blended with the strength of their faith in God's ability to guide them to the truth. Each book has multiple twists and surprising villains.
Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Very intriguing book

This book is the sixth book in the True Crime Junkies Series. It moves along fast and with twists and turns. First you may wonder what is going on, but then you will have that, “Oh yeah” moment. It takes all of the True Crime Junkies on a roller coaster ride throughout Alaska until the very end.
Thank you, Christy Barritt, for another clean enjoyable read!!

Andi and Duke

And friends were looking for the, quote unquote, BAD Guys! And they were bad guys to the nth degree. Can you imagine being lost in a very bad snow storm??? This is what happened to their group more than once trying to figure out who were the real bad guys and who wasn’t. You have to read now. Don’t wait. Can’t wait for the next one.

Most Likely to Die

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this entire series. This book gives the readers a closure to parts of the ongoing mystery of a powerful character of the series. It also leaves open the possibility of more books if the author is so inclined to write them. I would definitely be interested in reading more of the True Crime Junkies books.
