They say a prince's love is just a fairytale. But I've got a secret...
A daughter that proves it was real.
Royalty was never meant for me. At least that was what I was taught. So I told Prince Ishmael I didn’t love him. I lied.
And I lied about the baby I was carrying.
I ran away to forget him. No easy feat when my daughter is his spitting image.
I’m terrified he’ll find out about her.
I’m even more terrified of the fantasies I’m having… of him. But the one thing I could never prepare for…
Was the prince meeting his daughter.
READ ON Secret baby, fake marriage, second chance, wicked stepmother, enemies to lovers, forbidden love, class differences/royalty all bundled together for an exciting story with a happily ever after
Tyla Walker has always been a writer, ask anyone who’s ever met her. Growing up in Georgia, she spent every summer barbecue weaving wild stories. Her momma always encouraged her, and she couldn’t have done it without her.
Tyla writes hot and fun romances, inspired by her own relationship. Her husband reads all her stories and helps her figure out the spice and action.
Unsure exactly hour I feel about this book. On one hand it’s a very sweet second chance romance. On the other hand it’s flawed.
I was rooting for these two at the very beginning and I had high hopes this wood but a great story. I felt bad for Ishmael for losing 7 tests with his daughter. I loved his relationship with her and for her stepped up right away. Sure there was some anger and confusion, but who wouldn’t be m me as their ex hid a pregnancy from them for 8 years?
It has plot holes that were never addressed. Ishmael of asked to propose to Izzy because of the doomed mine. However that was the one and only time that was brought up. When making the deal with her he told her they had a mutual interest but never had a conversion about it. I would have thought with being such a key piece in bringing these two back together originally that it would be addressed at one point out another but it wasn’t.
It’s marked as bwwm romance, yet nowhere in the book are they described or rave brought up at all.
This is marked as a fake marriage, but both get very much married. They don’t consummate for weeks but they see still very much married with real vows, no mention of going a divorce at a later time. I would classify this more of a marriage of convenience, second chance romance.
Fourth and last complaint, however this one did not change the star rating at so Judy am observation. My son was just in the hospital last week with appendicitis. 😬😬. So it kinda irked me good the doctors took Isha for surgery based only on touching her stomach and the girl crying.
Fake Marrying the Monarch:A BWWM Romance by Tyla Walker. This is the story of Prince Ishmael of Solvaria and Liza. This is the 3rd book about the Prince brothers of Solvaria. This book can be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading the other 2 books. I really enjoyed the stories just as much as I enjoyed this story. Prince Ishmael and Liza were inseparable as teenagers and were each other's first. Liza's stepmother made her life miserable, and Liza endured emotional, psychological, and physical abuse. Liza was made to break up with Prince Ishmael, which broke both their hearts. Several years later, Prince Ishmael is instructed to reconnect with Liza, who had vanished years ago, and he never knew where she was. Both never moved on. This is their story of reconnecting. However, the journey isn't smooth due to secrets. They both still loved each other, and neither one wanted to be hurt. A 4 star read. Loved their journey, bumps, and all. I'm looking forward to the next book.
Fake Marriage, Secret baby, Second chance at love, Royalty

The Ishmael is completely in live with Liza and Liza feels the same but she feels that the circumstances of her birth make her unworthy of marrying Ishmael even though they both want to be together. When she returns home one day from spending the night with Ishmael, her stepmother meets her at the door and locks her in the basement for several days. When she releases her she is forced to tell Ishmael she doesn't love him and her arranged marriage is moved up. What happens next... Read to find out.
This is a cute short love royal love story. It is book 3 in a series but you don't have to read the previous two to enjoy this story, I didn't but I still loved everything about this book. I haven't read a lot of books by Tyla Walker, but I will definitely check out the other books in this series. Worth the read and has a nice happy ending.
Prince Ishmael and Lady Liza are young teens in love. They form a relationship, but Liza's evil stepmother makes her think she isn't worthy of Ishmael, which hurts Liza so much. After lying to Ishmael about not loving him, his heart shattered. To avoid the constant abuse she suffers from her evil stepmother and her father, not to mention having to marry a man much older (Felipe), she runs away. 7 years later, Ismael's father wants him to marry Liza to obtain a gold mind that belongs to her family. The request sets the truth in motion. When he gets to Milas, he finds out he and Liza have a daughter (Isha). Liza and Ishmael make Isha their priority but can't hide behind the fact that they never stopped loving each other. Even before Ishmael learns the real reasons for her leaving and telling the lie about not loving him, their love has already begun to bind them as a family. I love how bright, cute, and unfazed Isha is by everything. Ishmael is indeed a prince of a man, and his two princesses' truly make this a HEA ending worth reading. I love reading Mrs. Tyla's books.
There’s nothing fake about this book. The mystery and the truth of it all, is enough to make anyone feel like they’re in the thick of it all.
Yes, there are times, as I read this book, that I wanted to reach through and shake the mess out of just about every single character in this book. Almost every character. But then I remember ‘avocados’ and the old saying, “out of the mouth of babes.”
I’m really excited and truly enjoying this series. And I’m looking forward to see the next addition to the Vanecourt Family… Now, of course there’s a few questions about some of the characters, and their roles within these pages. That are unclear. But I’ll just have to re-read the book to see if there’s anything I might have missed.

Prince Ishmael and Lady Liza have been dating secretly. She comes from a dysfunctional family and feels that she isn't good enough to marry the prince. When she returns home from a date she is locked away in the basement until she agrees to tell the prince she isn't the one for him and if that isn't enough her stepmother moves up the arranged marriage. Will she and Prince Ishmael get their chance for a happily ever after.

This was a generous 3 ⭐️ rating. The book was short on details, predictable, and mediocre. It’s the story of Ishmael and Liza, childhood sweethearts who break up because of her parents.
Eight years later Ishmael discovers Liza in a small town with his daughter. The story proceeds from there. This is a series of 5 brothers in the made up kingdom of Solveria. All of them marry Black women. And it’s the tale of each brother finding his one true love. I’m done with the series now.
Fake Marrying the Monarch starts with a love story between two teenagers, Ishmael and Liza. While Ishmael is a Prince, Liza is an illegitimate child whose step-mother bullies to marry an older man. In other not to bring shame to the royal family, Liza decides to take matters into her hands. After several years, Ishmael finds her and proposes marriage only for his family's business.
Lessons: 1. Most often, when we make decisions for those we love, we end up hurting them. 2. People gossip to compensate for their boring lives. Let it be their story, not yours. 3. Have a sense of self. Find your self-respect and something to wake up for because those who try to break you are empty inside.
I really enjoyed this story, and the characters were very entertaining and believable! I loved the chemistry between) iza and Ishmael it was smoking hot 🔥. The storyline was interesting, and the journey of Liza's life back to Ishmael was worth the reading. I say readers get this book and enjoy it for yourself.
This was a great story, but I wish it would have included more about Liza's pregnancy. Maybe even her having the baby and Ishmael being excited and scared when she gave birth. True love never dies. I wanted to also see Liza stand up to her hateful step mother. Can't wait for the next Prince to find his Queen.

Another good romantic storyline by Tyla, she rarely misses. An abusive family breaks up young love 😔. Love never fails, it finds a way to mend what was broken. Good characters, well-written storyline 😉.
I received a ARC of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
He loved her no matter if she wasn’t royal and was born out of wedlock! This story was just so AMAZING…filled with abuse, survival, secrets, reuniting and of course a happily ever after!💚🦋
