I thought this book did a good job telling the history of Aston Martin, but not a GREAT job telling the history of Aston Martin. Don’t get me wrong, it’s detailed. But it does its readers no favors in the comprehension department. Maybe it’s because my lack of car knowledge (ask me what the difference is between a v6 and a v8), but this book kinda just throws everything out there without any sort of structure, with the exception of different “eras”. But what really grinder my gears was the treatment of perhaps the two things Aston Martin is most famous for — formula 1 and James Bond. Both are treated as an afterthought, mere appendices added in haste. Ask the author do go into the minutia of the supercharged vs naturally aspirated engines and you’ll get 5 pages, but ask him to describe the most iconic facets of an iconic car brand and you’ll get 5 paragraphs.

Same comments as the other books in this series. Beautiful photos but trying to fit the storied history into such a short book is difficult. I enjoyed the last chapter that was dedicated to the car’s appearance in the James Bond movies.

My favourite car not only because of James Bond but it is a beautiful motor vehicle and this book gives some insights into its heritage which allows me to like it even more. This book is beyond a coffee table companion.

i give this book a 5 star rating because i love the book i love the theme and the book make me like more aston martin now i want an aston martin car so a 5 star i almost gave it a 4 because i dont like so much the part of the races i like more the part of making the car and going new cars and things like that is the thing i like but i choose to put 5 star because even if i dont like it to much that part of racing is a great book to read and not for 1 think i didnt like it will be a bad book so i think that 5 star is great rating for the book it is one of the book i have liked the most of all the books the book is the story of Aston Martin the book was about the story of Aston Martin how the book says, but it explains you first the creation of Aston Martin why the creator created the problems and the thing they need to pass before creating then creating launching a model sometimes people like the car sometimes don't sometimes you don't have money a lot of things can happened the book explains all of that the models they launch the problems they had and a lot of things that the car can have the new futures all the car ti will say i liked a lot this book it was great book i like this book a lot more than other ones becuase it was mostly about cars and i like cars a lot so it was great i will give it 4 stars becuase this is a book it is great and all of that but i think it can be a little longer or less images because it doesent fill that long when you read it and it is great because all of that i think that it talk alot about aston amrtin and the problems it had and all of that i think that is great and not alos talks about the story of the brand making cars also in the races and why tehy decided whith porblemas and all of that so that is great and helpfull to understand better the brand and i also think that i dont se the brand as somehting else i see al the story and all of that and think how mucho problems do they need to pass to have the cars as they have it here so it is great and talks a lot of the creator and it is a great book that you should read if you like cars this book it is a great part of my heores journey becuase it is another book and makes a big diference and all of that so for me it is a great book and it is a big part becuase now i want to read a lot more books about this and it will help my heroes journey a lot becuase i will read more books and maybe i like the books and start reding more and more and search difernete topic i knwo that will no thapend but it can i dont like to read that much books but i read them becuase i need it and maybe i start reading books whith more meaning and all bout that and yea in can help me a lot in my goals and that things becvuase i will read more i think that this book changed me as a person because it make me see the brand diferent and i apreciate more what car ofers that things so it is great and changed me a lot and chargen a lot of more things and make me better in some aspect that cna help me in life and that things and also changed my by making me read more books because i like that some books and all of that and will help me a lot becuase how i said i dindt read books but it can help me read more i like dthis one the next one can be something like this i think that i will recomend this book that is the story of aston martin i will recomend it to people that like cars or want to knwo the story of them so i think that a lot of people should read it

It gave decent knowledge about Aston Martin. Although it used a lot of technical jargon that the reader may not be familiar with.
