This book was posted as a freebie within a Goodreads forum so I thought I'd check it out. Not being the biggest fan of zombies, I was about to pass it up when the top Amazon review caught my attention. It's because of that negative review that I felt compelled to read this book and judge it for myself.

In my opinion, it's a well written short story about a zombie who has retained some of his memories of being human. I thought it was a unique perspecive and enjoyed getting within the mind of a zombie and learning how his rational thoughts were clouded by his insatiable hunger. It was a quick read, but definitely enjoyable.

This was a fun little story I grabbed while it was available for free. What caught my attention was the prospect of experiencing being a zombie from the POV of a zombie itself. The author did a great job conveying a believable picture of the possible leftovers of a zombie's mind, musing about its ability to still remember bits of the past while fighting a growing, ever-present and all-consuming hunger. Most depressing, however, was its inability to either express or do anything about it's horrible fate, making me wish for him to forget everything and become a truly mindless creature instead.

What a fun story. I loved that the story was written from the zombies perspective. This story was very well written and I never thought I'd actually feel sorry for a zombie .
