Taste of Honey is three books in one in the Taste of Honey series. If you like sexy tales that are spicey, erotic and sensual then you need to read this series. Three enjoyable reads.

This is three novellas in one book. It was my first time dipping my toe into these tropes and it was both interesting and eye opening. I really liked the characters and the stories in all three books even though they are all stand alone. In the first one the quiet librarian, Penny, gets a few gifts left at the library for her and is told to meet X at a hotel. She is curious so she goes to see who he is and ends up liking being submissive to X. He teaches her and dresses her, but she becomes more confident in her skin. In the second book, Courtney signs up for training at The Commander’s Club because she is trying to find her coworker who sent a text and is believed to be one of the slave girls. Coutrney’s master is a man she has been thinking about since she saw him at her office earlier in the week. Ty Dragon is undercover and they are trying to take down the owner of the club. They both start to develop feelings and they need to take down the club before she is sold off to another master. The last book follows Laura in Paris. She is accused of theft and then mugged and decides to become a temporary courtesan to earn money to get her back to the states. She is nervous and excited and hopes that a particular gentleman in the crowd is going to buy her but then he gets up to leave. Nick is there to make his sister in law happy since she says he needs to move on after his divorce six years before. He is taken by her and doesn’t want anyone else to get his hands on her, she seems so new and innocent and he knows the types of men in the room. Laura is sent to her master’s summer home, a mansion in the country, and is happy to see that it is Nick. He tries to make her submissive but he is not too hard on her and sometimes even she takes over. He is hoping to save her and hoping for her to stay. I know that not all bdsm stories probably have love and happy endings, but I enjoyed these!

This book is a three in one! It has- The Gift, The Commander's Club, and Once in Love. Each one is it's own short romance erotica that are all super steamy, dom/sub, and bdsm stories. You start off with The Gift, which is a librarian secret admirer fantasy. Penny is a librarian who started getting gifts left for her at work. They are scandalous and left with them are notes that shock her, but at the same time turns her on. After receiving an invitation to meet at a hotel she can't help but go to find out who this naughty man is. She's both excited and shocked when she finds out who's behind her reddened skin. She finds out submission can be fun and powerful!
Next comes The Commander's Club, a book about Courtney who is a journalist undercover. But her cover isn't as good as she thought and she's thrown into the deep end of a huge FBI investigation into a BDSM club. Ty is working as a slave trainer and scoops her up to keep her protected. With her ID in question he starts her training quickly. Courtney is to feisty for her own good and learns quickly that, that can be a bad thing for a sub/dom club. Can Ty protect her and get her out before anyone finds out who she really is? Will she get her story or become one!
The last story in the book is Once In Love, which is about Laura who is in trouble. She's been accused of stealing, fired from her job, interrogated by the police, and then mugged! Without a job and her stuff she is stranded in Paris. When she's offered a temp position as a courtesan she's intrigued by the idea. She reads a lot of Erotica and she can't help but be tempted. But once her Dom find's out who she is and that she has to fake it, she's certain he will dump her to the side for someone else. Nick has been battered by an ex-wife and he's turning into a workaholic. His sister talks him into going to the courtesan auction, but he's already decided not to bid. He has more important things. When he spots a redhead on the catwalk he sees not only her innocence, but also her lust. Abruptly leaving he can't imagine her ending up with a hurtful dom. He out bids everyone and has her sent to his summer vacation spot. Throwing her into a submission course is not only fun, but healing. Can he fall for someone else? Can he ever trust anyone? Laura has big plans for when she finally can afford to leave Paris. She wants to make her art and have a studio. Can she put aside her plans and imagine another future?
Such a great set of stories. All very steamy and hot hot hot. If you are not into BDSM books these are not for you. But if you don't mind any of the stuff that comes with a Sub/Dom relationship, then grab this one! You won't be disappointed!!

The Gift: When I first started this book I was intrigued. The whole secret admirer and setting up for what could have been a good story. Now though, after reading it, I am not sure how I feel about this one. I love a good BDSM book, but I like it to be realistic in certain aspects. I understand it is just fiction, but one of the big important parts of BDSM is that the sub gives that power over to the dom, it is not taken or forced on them, and that is how their interactions were once they met face to face. The FMC didn’t have a clue about BDSM whereas the MMC did, and instead of communicating with her about it, slowly teaching her and confirming she was ok with it each step, so on so forth, he went straight to “I am your master you are my slave” and did what he wanted with her. There is no real story or plot, just a bunch of random things tossed in between spicy scenes.
The Commanders Club: This started off as a reporter going undercover to start sub-training. She did all this to try and save her co-worker, Laura, who she thinks got kidnapped. Even though Courtney had done research, signed a contract, and knew what she was getting into she still fought the sub-training, and not in a bratty way. After finding out her co-worker was safe she had to stay and continue to be trained. Even though she was turned on she still fought the training, even though that was the only thing that could save her. This one has more of a story than there was for the first.
Once in Love: There was an attraction between the MFC and MMC right away. She wanted him to buy her at the auction and had high hopes for him… in bed. When he left she was disappointed but was shocked when she found out someone bought her. They enter into a BDSM relationship that was supposed only to last the summer, but they end up breaking all their limits/self-protective rules. One thing I liked is how patient he was with her and helped her learn new things. She also didn't fight it, she signed up for all of this and played the part very nicely.
Altogether it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a plot/story then this wouldn’t be for you but if you are just looking for pure smut then this would be perfect!

Taste of Honey is a 3 story BDSM collection. All with varying degrees of erotica, spicy, romance, feistiness, and anything else you can think of. Each story is different, the common being a male dominant and female submissive. Which is typically what you find in these works of fiction.
The Gift is a story about a woman who made the choice as soon as she ended up at the hotel room. Penelope didn’t realize what she was getting herself into with Mr. Deveroux. She felt shamed, humiliated, and at the same time didn’t understand why her body screamed for more. The dynamic between these two felt slow at the beginning. I had difficulty pushing through, but overall their story was enjoyable.
The Commander’s Club was my favorite of the 3 stories! A woman end’s up entering a bdsm club to retrieve a friend/colleague that disappeared. Unfortunately her alias raises some red flags. Lucky for her, Dragon is there to guide her through her 6 days of training. An undercover FBI agent, Dragon is there to take down the operation and Courtney could be just the one who causes it to blow up in his face. He wants her but he knows it’ll jeopardize his effectiveness. So how does he navigate her training and this craving for Courtney he can’t get under control?
Once in Love is about a girl that’s trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Left to pick up the pieces in France, Laura agrees to be part of an auction to make some money. What she didn’t expect was Nick. She doesn’t want a relationship, but her feelings for Nick deepen as the story goes. Nick has been off the market since his divorce 6 years ago. He only went to the auction to humor his sister in law not expecting to find a woman that will change his life. Will Laura give in to her feelings?
Will they break the number one rule of no kissing?

I really enjoyed this set. Each book is short, a nice little read in between books and very steamy with a little drama sprinkled on top.
The Gift
Penelope and Vlad’s story is hot! I love that fact that they are co workers at a library and he has been secretly watching her and falling in love, well maybe in lust first. Penelope’s tears always broke my heart because the pair doesn’t do much talking but, my fears are put to rest many times in the way Vlad takes care of her. I like that his friend at the club mentions that Vlad is obsessed with her, that kind of tampers her uneasiness of where their relationship is headed.

Courtney and Dragon’s story is a step better than the last one. This story had more depth and a little suspense thrown in. I was so worried Courtney was going to get caught by Stringfellow, he seemed like just a nasty man. I am so glad Dragon was the one to train Courtney and their bond grew so nicely. My heart broke for her when she kept doubting they would end up together, it doesn’t seem like he wanted to take it all the way. Nicely ended

Laura and Nick’s story is my favorite of the three! I totally swooned at the way Nick was instantly drawn to Laura at the courtesan auction and how he falls in love with her quickly. This story didn’t have as much bdsm as the other two, but still a nice little amount. The extra drama with Laura’s former boss made the story so much more interesting. I can tell there is no way Nick would have let Laura leave him.

This book is made up of 3 short stories. The Gift, The Commander's Club and Once in Love. All 3 are super fast paced Dom / sub or ( new to sub ) stories. Of course people have their favorites.
The gift is about a sweet librarian who starts receiving gifts from a secret admirer. There is a note in one of the gifts, to meet him at a hotel room and she actually goes. She has no idea who she is going to meet but Penelope goes anyway and when she finds out it’s none other then Vlad from the library she doesn’t know what think. She takes to her new sub role quickly and this one is very steamy.

I had an expectation after reading the synopsis of each story and my expectations were met with each of the stories.
There were parts of Penelope and Vlad's stories I liked, but of the three it was the one I felt was missing something. While enjoyable it was my least favorite.
Courtney and Dragon's story had lots of hot moments and some danger thrown in. The chemistry the author was trying to create come through loud and clear. There is one scene in the second half that was probably one of the best I have read in a while.
Laura and Nick's story definitely had a Pretty Woman vibe which I'm assuming was intentional. I was hooked on this particular story before I finished chapter 1.
Each of these ladies is sassy, strong and independent. They each let go of their inhibitions after a short time. Dom/sub relationships are based on trust of one another. While that trust wasn't there in the beginning it was built and further strengthened the bond between each of the couples.
Hot and heavy love scenes are not for pearl clutches, but I think the average woman will enjoy them.

Nick Renault is a self made millionaire who has been in a bit of a funk since he became a widow. To help pacify his sister-in-law who thinks he's depressed, he goes to the courtesan auction. He isn't interested in anyone in particular until he sees Laura. He buys her services to save her but winds up falling in love. These short stories were engaging and had just the right amount of spice.

Taste of Honey includes three stories all containing adult content and are very spicy reads, definitely not intended for a younger reader, so be forewarned. I loved that each story is a short read, but the storyline is so in-depth that you don't even realize you've already gotten to the end until you're there. It is so encapsulating, and what a great ride they each take you on, leading you through the dark world of adult content where most do not normally go except in a book. The characters are all very different in each of these stories, yet they all have a similar theme of trying new things that they never saw themselves trying out, but that appeal to their deeper desires than they ever thought possible. I love that the steam factor in each of these stories is just the right mix with the storyline, making it important but not all-encompassing, allowing the reader to enjoy each character's build-up and background stories. This is a great book to read if you're in the mood for some saucy romance with great plots to go along with them.

I have read a couple other books by this author, and it is just as incredible if not more so! There are three novellas within these pages, and I loved each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they were that entertaining. Each story contains the steamiest of scenes and generally have themes of BDSM. The author wastes no time diving into the excitement and never slowed down at any point. There are no lulls in any of the stories at all. The characters are well developed, and I loved each of them for different reasons. It’s difficult to pick a favorite couple, but I think Penelope and Victor/Vlad stole my attention more than the others. This book is definitely packed with spice, so grab a fan now because you’ll need it! I can’t wait to pick up more by this author as they’ve quickly become a favorite to follow. If you enjoy steamy stories with engaging plots and wonderful characters, this is absolutely for you!

If you enjoy spicy heat at nearly every turn of the page, you should definitely give these three fast-paced stories a try. Each story features a woman who finds her way into the arms of a sexy, dominating male. But there is a lot more than simply sex and submission taking place. There are evolving feelings growing under the surface- intrigue, trust, lust, love. I felt each character really brought something unique to their story. It may not be my usual type of story to pick up, but I would absolutely read more by this author. I loved Julie's writing and ability to be so in-depth with her descriptiveness and characters, while keeping the story moving along at a quick pace!

All of them were fantastic reads. It's hard to pick a favorite but If I have to I'd say maybe Once in love. This author has a captivating blend of romance and drama. Castle's writing vividly brings to life the complexities of relationships, with an emphasis on emotional depth and character development. I enjoyed reading these spicy stories. This is a collection of three shorter stories about a librarian, a journalist and one that is just stranded in Paris. They each are well written and bring romance to a new level. They are spicy, full of heat and characters that will pull you into their world with ease. They keep you engaged and turning pages fast. They are connectable and bring their stories to life. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout the story. I enjoyed this author’s writing style that made the stories realistic and hard to put down. They are fast paced and stories you don’t want to miss. This is a must read story for sure. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this collection.

I had been reading psychological thrillers over the past few weeks and was looking for a book with a different level of excitement to pass my time. Enter Taste of Honey by Julie Castle. A change of pace comprised of three SPICY novellas.
Each novella is approximately 10 chapters long and packed with entertainment from the first word. My favorite was the first story (The Gift) where we watch Penny’s character development as she begins to learn a whole new world. While each of the novellas have a damsel in distress type of undertone, the females were never hopeless and always palpable.
Overall, this was a great series paced well with tons of spice and a great variety of spicy tropes in each installment.

A Taste of Honey is book 4 in the Taste of Honey Series, but it is actually just one book containing the first 3 stories in the series. The Gift, The Commanders Club, and Once in Love are short, well written Novellas, that contain some BDSM tropes, and a lot of spice. The FMC is usually leading a lonely, unfulfilled life, or have gotten into trouble somehow, or is trying to make her way in the world, and the MMC happens a long at just the right time which I enjoy. I enjoyed this collection, the characters were great, the storylines were engaging and kept me turning pages.

Well, these are interesting storywise. This is a collection of 3 stories with the female being rescued by a dom. It's in the BDSM trope. I found the story to be done okay working around the BDSM. in each story. The characters were pretty good. It's written pretty good. If this is the type of trope you enjoy, you may like this one.
