The fairies are grumbling and complaining. They’ve been guarding the sleeping princess and cleaning the castle for the past hundred years. The job of fairy godmother is definitely not what fairy tales have made it out to be. Thankfully, their job is nearly done. A prince is coming to kiss the princess and break the spell once and for all. But he’s not the only one.

A cute, sweet and funny little Sleeping Beauty retelling. The theme that love makes us do foolish things is hilariously on display here. And the twist is nicely executed.

What an adorable Sleeping Beauty retelling from the perspective of one of the fairies! Everything that could go wrong, did, but in the most hilarious ways possible. This was a quick and easy read, but I enjoyed it so much!

This was a very interesting read, i did actually enjoy it. The fairies in this reminded me of a more endearing version of the three fairies in Maleficent. Mickle, the male fairy who likes one of the main fairies is hilarious, and stupid. But he has a good heart haha.

HOWEVER there is a MASSIVE PLOT HOLE!
So... Spoilers.

Mickle loves the fairy that is telling this story, they had a fight right before the 100 year chore of caring for the Princess Rosalina in her sleep. So Mickle goes on a quest, to find the genies lamp. Which he does. But then gets trapped in the cave for all that time. Because APPARENTLY, and this is the important part, the genie can't grant wishes to other magical beings. Which Mickle being a fairy, is a magical being. So he has to try and remember a spell to get himself out of there. He ends up making into the castle on the last day of the 100 years. He manages to royally screw things up for everyone (with good intentions of course) but he ends up saving everyone by USING THE GENIE LAMP! 🤦‍♀️

Anyway, very fun story, massive plot hole haha. Granted i guess this is supposed to be a funny story so....

Content:

Language: None.

Violence: None.

Sexual: Mild. There are some kisses, but all totally chaste and clean.

This is 26 pages, so obviously not a lot of character development. This really is more of a slapstick type of short focusing on the Fairies that take care of Sleeping Beauty. It was quite chaotic in the humor, reminding me a lot of the 2nd book in her Tales of Ambia series. It's not really my thing to have so much unrelenting satirical situations in a book. It works for plays, but in written form it can get old quick, even with just 26 pages.

This is a funny, cute and sweet retelling of Sleeping Beauty. A twist on the original story showing how love has us doing foolish things. Very funny that the 3 good fairies have been guarding Sleeping Beauty and the castle and acting as housekeepers for almost 100 years. There is a near catastrophe dealing with the kiss and a missing prince, but all is right in the end. Loved seeing how they dealt with the evil fairy.
