Sunblood Trilogy #1

The Nameless Heir

Rate this book
Fallon Solveij was born to be on a throne, and let the gods hear her when she swore she would sit upon one again. No matter what it took.

A fugitive hell-bent on revenge, Fallon needs an army if she is going to reclaim her birthright as heir of the Blodvinger Clan. Alas, her reputation as Barwyn’s Bastard leads to her capture and imprisonment in enemy lands.

Fallon’s cellmate, a Hulder named Elowen, pulls back the curtain to a world straight out of her late mother’s storybooks: Faeries. The Fae were real. Promising to get Elowen home, Fallon pauses her plans of vengeance. A strange boy with mismatched eyes reluctantly helps the girls to safety, but the Fae realm of Elphyne is not as perfect as her old bedtime stories portrayed it to be.

As the last Fire Fae, Fritjof Aodh has set his sights on claiming the Ash Throne and ruling Elphyne. Unbeknownst to him, a trio of half-blooded misfits might be the last thing standing in his way. But there is a far darker enemy working in the shadows, and it is going to take more than a broken girl, an outcast boy, and an abandoned maiden to stop them.

A massive thanks to the incredible Emma Arch for granting me the opportunity to delve into the mesmerizing world of The Nameless Heir as an ARC reader!

review rating: ☆☆☆☆.5

This story grabbed me right from the start, refusing to let go. It's a concoction of found family, a formidable female lead, revenge plots, and confronting one's inner demons – essentially, everything a fantasy enthusiast could wish for.

Entering the story, characters shone bright, embarking on journeys of self-discovery and growth that stole the spotlight. While I craved a bit more depth in the world building, the meticulous effort poured into the characters was truly commendable. The focus on their mental and emotional journeys, striving to become the best versions of themselves, added a layer of authenticity that resonated deeply. High praise to Emma Arch for crafting characters whose growth and struggles made the fantastical world feel incredibly relatable.

Now, let me gush about Ronen, who easily became my absolute favorite character in the enchanting realm of Elphyne. As a misunderstood Nøkken, his journey alongside Fallon and Elowen was nothing short of captivating. And Fallon, with her resilience amid trials, losses, and near-death experiences, managed to radiate positivity even in the darkest moments. And, of course, the sweet angel she is, Elowen, the courageous hulder. Her journey of self-discovery and bravery adds a delightful touch to the story.

Additionally, I must highlight the sheer beauty of the narrative. Every page unfolded like a mesmerizing tapestry, intricately woven with vivid prose and evocative storytelling. The portrayal of Norse mythology was a literary delight, skillfully crafted to immerse readers in a world brimming with enchantment. The way the author brought these mythic elements to life added an extra layer of magic to an already captivating story, leaving me utterly enchanted.

I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment, driven not only by the captivating characters but also fueled by the lingering suspense of that gripping cliffhanger. It's an irresistible combination that leaves me impatiently awaiting the next chapter in this enchanting saga.

My jaw is on the floor.
I saw a post about this book on bookstagram a few weeks ago and was instantly intrigued. I requested an arc, and I am so glad that I did.
I read this entire book in one sitting due to the fact I could not bring myself to put it down.
I was completely consumed by it.
The writing style is lyrical, poetic, and lovely. I fell in love with this book by the first page.
The characters are unforgettable. Every single one is memorable and feels so real to me. The descriptions of the world are beautiful and I felt so immersed. I didn’t go into this book thinking I was going to cry, but I did. This story is full of resilience, heartbreak, adventure, revenge, sisterhood, and strength.
I cannot wait for everyone to be able to read this, I have a feeling it is going to become one of the most talked about fantasy books this year.
I enjoyed this book immensely, and I highly highly recommend!

"I am Fallon Solveij. And I do not kneel to Death."

Edit: I did not know this was going to be a trilogy! I'm definitely excited to read the next two books 😍

Fallon Solveij is on a quest to reclaim her birthright as clan leader. This novel is set in a Nordic-based fantasy world where different magical creatures and realms are all linked to the Entrance Tree (for norse mythology fans, you may know it as Yggdrasil and the 9 realms). Fallon lives in Midgard, the human realm, but as the story progresses, she meets different magical creatures such as Fae and Merrows while traversing different realms.

"Find something that sets your soul on fire."

What I loved most about this book was the intricate worldbuilding and the different twists on traditional Norse mythology! Emma Arch has created beautiful lore that any reader can easily immerse themselves into. As a huge fan of Magnus Chase, I really appreciated the Norse elements and I also think fans of Brave, How To Train Your Dragon, and The Cruel Prince will definitely enjoy this!

However, I'm a bit upset that I didn't get into this as much as other ARC readers 😭 Even though the book was good, I felt like the worldbuilding was too vast for just one story- I would definitely enjoy this more if it were a series and could fully flesh out the lore. I also thought some character relationships progressed a bit too fast.

"Don't hope, she had to warn him. Hope hurts."

Still, this book has extremely beautiful quotes and exquisite metaphors. Emma has a writing style that can make you see the beauty of the world she created through simple phrases and passionate words. She created Fallon, a strong, determined character definitely inspires me. I laughed a lot while reading about Ronen too! All in all, this was a great book, and I think others will agree!

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest rating/review.

Long story short a badass Viking girl gets thrown off a cliff by her own father and somehow survives. Then with a soul loaded with major daddy issues she kicks ass after ass and accidentally ends up in the land of the fae

Yes, you heard that correctly. Vikings and fairies.

I must admit at first I didn’t really see how it was going to work, but I honestly really enjoyed all the lore in this book. The world building was mesmerising and I really fell in love with almost all of the characters.

3.5⭐️ this was such an interesting read, I never expected Vikings x Fae set up to work so well, I thought it would have been too much but I was wrong.

This was beautifully written and the characters were all so well done. Some parts of this were maybe a little slow for me and just a tad too whimsical. Also there was zero romance in this, I’m not even sure who the couple is supposed to be? Maybe we’ll find out in the next book..

It’s on kindle unlimited and is honestly a really well put together fantasy💫

Thank you so much to the author for giving me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. I am absolutely blown away by this book. It is now one of my favorite books of all time and one of the best debut novels I've ever read. This is for the outcasts. This is for the people who want to break cycles. This is for the people who have never felt like they fit in anywhere and have to fight for their place in the world. This is for the people who have been made to feel like they are not worthy. This is for the people who are battling their inner demons. The Nameless Heir has immersive and detailed world-building, inspiring themes, loveable characters, engaging dialogue, and intriguing lore. It is truly an unforgettable story, and I could not stop turning the pages. The readers are taken on a journey starting with the FMC, Fallon. Fallon has been rejected and goes through so much, but she is relentless in her pursuit to claim her place in the world. She never gives up. Ronen, the MMC, despite being talented and full of wisdom, has been ostracized and disdained for the way he was born. I enjoyed getting to see him grow and start to learn to accept who he is. Elowen, my favorite character, is gentle and kind, even though she has experienced cruelty. All three of these characters are well-developed, and the book made me truly care about them. I loved being taken along their adventure and getting to know "the clan of misfits." The book has dark moments, but it also shows light and gives hope. There were times I wanted to laugh, cry, and throw the book at the wall (in a good way, of course). I am very impressed with this book. I will one hundred percent be buying a physical copy and reading the next two books in the trilogy. I cannot recommend this book enough!

“I was with loneliness for so long, I thought she and I were friends. But now I think her real name was sadness, and I don’t need her anymore. I have you.”

“I can’t promise a fair world, but I can promise you will never have to face it alone ever again,”

4.5 ⭐️
This book greatly exceeded my expectations!! The characters were so well defined and so alive from the very start. The world was well thought out with each area/realm having a distinguishable feel and ambiance. After keeping up with this book far before I was able to read it the characters truly were even more than I was expecting. Their personalities and clear purposes made this book so incredible. I immediately was infatuated with each character and their respective struggles and couldn’t wait until about the halfway point when their perspectives merged and became one beautiful story! Fallons background and motives had me hooked and truly feeling for her, Elowen was immediately heart melting and Ronen quickly became my favorite of them all. Their unique perspectives brought such an enjoyable way of learning about this incredible world and I truly hope I’ll be able to read about them again soon (sequel PLEASE??). Plus a slow burn that was so slow I barely even saw it coming?? That’s my type of romance. I laughed out loud on multiple accounts, but I was also at the edge of my seat with anticipation. Some of the BEST found family moments EVER. The Nameless Heir was such a great read and I am so grateful I was able to receive an eARC!!!

Please consider supporting an indie author by preordering The Nameless Heir!! ☀️🌊🌿 <3

Thank you to the author, Emma Arch, for providing me with an eARC! All opinions and views expressed are my own.

Emma Arch's debut THE NAMELESS HEIR is the perfect blend of found family, healing from trauma, and the conflict of revenge versus inner peace. Each a beautiful portrayal of growing in spite of darkness, each character embodies their own space well. There was never a point-of-view I felt dragged or was boring because they were all so different from one another. I never felt like I was forcing myself to keep reading. Each chapter lended to telling the individual stories of the characters as well as the broader plot of the book. I enjoyed being privy to things before the characters along with learning things with them, too. It is a unique balance to write, and I think Arch hit it out of the park. Another skillful balance Arch displayed was in her ability to display humor and serious themes parallel to one another in a way that felt natural and believable. I found myself reluctant to put this book down even for meals, often reading while I ate. I am not normally a fan of the Fae genre, but Arch may have changed my mind a little. The intrigue of Norse mythology combined with the creative world of Elphyne (the Fae realm of TNH) invited me in. I also enjoyed that Arch did not give the reader everything at once, but allowed much of the world to be hinted at in favor of evoking curiosity for the future books to come. Her world-building, pacing, character development, and emotional storytelling (yes, of course I cried!) were all incredible and only served to strengthen the book as a whole. Everything served a purpose and was woven together cleanly. The most beautiful thing to me was seeing how Ronen and Fallon grew as people and became better for knowing each other. I also found Elowen to be my favorite character of all, and I look forward to learning more about her going forward. Arch should be very proud of what she has created here, and I cannot wait for the second book!

This!!! This book was such an amazing fantasy adventure to read!! Reading this, you would never think it as a debut novel. It was written so well and kept me engaged with every word. It has incredible world and story building. I felt every single emotion through Fallon and Ronen's POV, and coudl see everything that they were seeing. The multiple POV stories flow perfectly together. I was sucked in in only the first few chapters and loved every second of the action packed and epic adventure. It had a great story plot and character growth for this to be a first novel. Then when I realized this is only the very BEGINNING of these characters story, it has me begging for more.
I love all of the Misfits and wish I could join there clan!
I 5000% recommend this book for anyone who wants an epic fantasy adventure to venture through.
It truly is how Emma says it is, "Disney's Brave meets Lord of the Rings." Now, I've never read LoTR BUT I will say the fantasy/adventure of this novel reminded me a lot of Throne of Glass. Emma could give SJM a run for her money!
I can't wait for book 2 to come out!

i adore the writing style, from the very beginning i was content simply reading words, regardless the plot. i wish they communicated more and listened to each other words, instead of trying to subdue one another to change their views and positions. Ronen is love.

Thank you to Emma for the ARC!! 💗

Guys — this book is for those who feel like outsiders trying to find their place in the world. It’s for outcasts, for people who find family through friendship, and for those that want to break barriers.

I love the unique spin on fantasy this book has. The different world-building from most fantasies, the elements, and the layered foundation of it all was done so well. The characters were complex and flawed, each of them fighting their inner demons that they dared to prevail from. They were so easy to root for, I found myself in pieces of each of them.

There were dark moments throughout the book, but also moments that shed hope, not only for the characters but for their world to become a better place. I also loved the dialogue in this, there were a few laugh-out-loud moments!💗

When I tell you that this is one of the best books I’ve read in the past year, BELIEVE IT. Fantasy, high stakes, politics and thrones, but even more than that, family, forgiveness, and learning how to smile again. You will NOT regret picking this one up, I swear to you.

Welcome to the clan of misfits. 😏

.
Genre:
Fantasy
.
Tropes:
Found family
.
Main Concepts:
Fallon wants revenge, she wants the blood of her abusers to run rivets in the heartless landscape that she calls home. On her path for revenge, Fallon discovers there is more to life than anger, pain and fighting. The found family trope in this is so deep and so meaningful, it’s pulling at my heart strings.
.
Favorite Scenes:
Will add this once the book releases and people get a chance to read
.
World building:
I give world building a 10/10. This world is just so diverse and well thought out. Imagine the world around me through the writing quite vividly and I want to live in Elphyne so very badly. It’s just so full and rich and breathtaking.
.
Spice level:
0/5, we did not need it at all. This book is about so much more than smut. I’m a smut lover but that would have completely taken away from the main point of the storyline.
.
Overall thoughts:
I want to start off by saying that I have been waiting for this book since I first saw a post about it on Instagram. I have been so hyped for so long about this book.

Fallon, oh my sweet Fallon. She was in so much pain and had sooo much anger inside of her and I can relate to that on a pretty deep level. It was rooted so very deep inside of her, I don’t think she even realized it her self. Elowen, Ronen and Elma really gave her the tools she needed to see how badly she needed to forget her past, it does not define you, and embrace her new adventure. Her character growth just in book one alone is CRAZY. Honestly, the growth in all of the core characters just for a first book is crazy. The power of love they have for each other is so light and sweet and healing.

The banter between Fallon and Ronen had me literally laughing out loud. Those two crazy misfits together are just so fiery and balance each other well in my opinion. I do feel like Fallon’s tendency to never back down, really helped Ronen start sticking up for himself. Their banter was practice for him haha.

Fallon and Elowen together?! Those two are my fricken favorite. It’s just so sweet and they are bestie for the restie. They are honestly like sisters. I love their relationship so much and love how Elowen has brought out the nurturing side of Fallon.
.
Quotes:
1.) “If you must pave a road with bone and blood to reach your victory, is it truly victory at all?”

2.) “And I hate to break it to you, red, but dying from a fight you started doesn’t make you a warrior. It makes you a coward.”

3.) “In a land of iced over hearts, yours was beating.”

4.) “Because a star must collapse before it is born.”

5.) “Look, red, if anyone in this room is most likely to have rabies, it’s definitely you.”

6.) Ronen, you must bathe before you cause all my buds to close back up.”

OMG. This story was refreshing. It felt like The Cruel Prince mixed with The Hobbit with lots of found family, Viking violence, forced proximity, and revenge. This story was a beautiful fantasy with the feeling of reading a fairytale and folklore. The story started slowly but picked up quickly! The characters have my heart, especially Fallon and Elowen. This is a magical, riveting story no one should miss! 10/10 recommend!

I found The Nameless Heir while scrolling on Instagram and seeing multiple people on my feed talking about it. I see a book has magic in it, and I’m immediately drawn in! I applied to receive an e-arc in exchange for my honest review, and once i got into it, i found it incredibly hard to put down. i laughed, i cried, i giggled while kicking my feet, i hated some characters, and fell in love with the rest. this book ended up being way more than i ever expected to be honest. The story has a lot of elements and information, but Emma was able to blend everything together seamlessly. As a debut novel, it reads and flows better than books i’ve read from reputable authors. I loved how well-developed our 3 main characters are, and they were so easy to fall in love with and root for. Emma did an excellent job with incorporating real world emotions & traumas into this magical world, and i don’t think i can even put into words just how much i loved this novel. I am officially hooked, and I just need more of Fallon, Ronen, and Elowen’s story (especially after that cliffhanger 🤯)!! If you love badass FMC’s, found families, Norse mythology, adventure, and beautifully crafted worlds, then please pick this book up!

Y’all I kid you not, this book not only met but exceeded my expectations. I was lucky enough to to be on the Street Team and receive the ARC for this (tysm Emma 🥰) but unfortunately I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and p busy so it took me tooo long to finish it. BOY HOWDY am I glad I finally did though bc it’s been all I could think about.

THIS BOOK is the perfect YA fantasy book imo. I felt a lot of emotions while reading this, it made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me mad, it made me 🥺The FMC Fallon is so incredibly strong I honestly look up to her. She experienced so much trauma in her life, she felt so much anger towards those who caused her pain. What started as a journey to seek revenge, transformed into a journey of self discovery and healing. Ronen’s, the MMC, journey also seriously warmed my heart. He was misunderstood and hated most of his due to being half Nøkken, until Fallon and Elowen came along. Elowen is just the absolute sweetest, she radiates absolute love and positivity despite what she’s been through, she’d do absolutely anything for her friends <33 she stole my heart. This lil clan of misfits was exactly what they each needed in their journeys. I loved watching them grow and heal together throughout the story.

Not only were the characters amazing, the world building with the fae and Norse mythology was *chefs kiss*. Each realm was so distinct, each having their own feel and vibes It felt so rich and so real, I desperately want to live in Elphyne.

I HIGHLY recommend you pick up THE NAMELESS HEIR, I promise you won’t regret it. Thank you again Emma for the ARC and for writing this beautiful story that will remain close to my heart 💗💗

This book was simply stunning from the moment I read the first page. I adore Emma Arch’s lyrical writing style and her incredible sense of humor. The characters are complex and have unique backstories. The fantasy aspect was so well integrated into the plot and well-developed. Something about the way Arch writes evokes strong emotions and her use of vivid imagery brings this exciting world to life.

The story follows Fallon Solveij, a 19-year old Viking girl who is destined to sit on a throne. It is her birthright. However, things are a bit challenging because a. She is banished by her father, b. He renounced her as a bastard, and c. He tried to sentence her death. This is the story of how Fallon attempts to reclaim her throne, and she meets some interesting characters along the way.

Fallon is a strong, badass female main character who distrusts others and is used to fending for herself. As she begins to encounter different characters, her mentality towards friendship, family, and belonging begins to shift. Despite her tough exterior, it is clear that she is silently suffering, and grapples with feelings of resentment and heartbreak.

This is a tale of resilience, revenge, adventure, self-discovery, and belonging. I enjoyed every page and would strongly recommend it to fans of fantasy and lovers of Lord of the Rings, Throne of Glass, The Cruel Prince, and Norse Mythology. I knew very little of Norse Mythology before starting this book, and loved how it inspired the narrative.

I eagerly anticipate the next installment and look forward to continuing the saga. With the many unanswered questions and captivating cliffhanger, I MUST know what happens next.

A massive thank you to Emma Arch for providing me with an eARC of her debut novel in exchange for a review!

“Find something that sets your soul on fire…So when the entire world is crashing down, you have a reason to stand back up.”

I hyped myself up for this book so much! I was honestly a little worried it wouldn’t live up to the magic I built up in my own head. I’m so glad I was wrong!

This book was beautifully written. It was so easy and enjoyable to read. The world building was so well done I could *almost* visualize everything. (I’m one of those people who can’t actually picture things when I try so this is big for me. But that’s how good it was!) I experienced genuine anxiety at one point, so this book will make you FEEL things.

The characters are the real star of the show. Fallon is flawed in the best way. She was fiery and stubborn and so strong and determined you couldn’t help but love and admire her. We’re all rooting for Fallon.
Elowen is the type of friend everyone needs in their lives. Imagine how wonderful the world would be if we all had an Elowen on our team?!
Ronen. I adore you. He was kind of bratty, in a charming way. I loved his sarcasm and spunk. He was loyal even though he had every reason not to be. I loved watching his heart open up to his family and his growth was so beautiful to witness.

Honorary mention: if we don’t get more Jaeger and Norman in the next book I might riot.

All this to say, I hyped up this book for myself and it absolutely lived up to everything and more. I’m so excited this isn’t the end of the story for my favorite band of misfits.

《ARC REVIEW》

"Fallon knew she had truly gone mad, though, because she became optimistic. Within her hunger, ire, and misery, she found drive. Fallon would survive because everyone else in this world wanted her dead."

☆☆☆☆☆

I just finished The Nameless Heir by Emma Arch, and what an absolutely incredible debut book! This is a YA fantasy novel, but there is nothing juvenile about it. It is a gritty, ruthless story about learning to trust, friendship, and becoming who you're meant to be.

Fallon Solveij grew up in a barren, icy land, and was subjected to horrible torture by her father, the Blodvinger Chief. After her mother went missing, her father remarried, and she became "Barwyn's Bastard" with no claim to become Chief. After being banished and disowned by her family, she is beaten further and sent to die. When her most trusted friend throws her off a cliff, an epic tale of survival and adventure begins.

This story is truly one of friendship. When Fallon is fleeing for her life, she ends up meeting the most trustworthy people along the way. It is remarkable how her friends completely change her life, and it shows how important friendship really is!

This book is incredible. Seriously! The world-building is inspired by Norse mythology, legends, and fairytales mixed in. And the magic is so wonderfully thought out! I absolutely loved it!

The Nameless Heir gets released on February 2nd, and is available for pre-order! I'd highly recommend reading it if you love Norse mythology, Disney’s Brave, and Lord of the Rings!

A huge thank you to @emmaarch for the eARC. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

If you like Vikings, Fae, and Norse lore then this is the book for you! I absolutely loved the world building! The way that Arch wove Fae and Norse mythology together was expertly executed. I loved the different realms and creatures which were the perfect balance of familiar and unique. I particularly loved the hearth cave, very whimsical and visually stunning and I want to go visit!

As far as characters go Ronen absolutely stole the show. Hey had great depth and a solid character arc, I really loved seeing the world that Arch created through his POV. I liked that Fallon was staby and brutal and she had a decent character arc, but for me she was a little inconsistent.

Overall this was an enjoyable read, there were some inconsistencies, but I overall enjoyed it and look forward to finding out what happens in book two.

Must read! I don't even know where to start. I was hooked from the first page, which doesn't happen often with me. I read a lot of fantasy books, and I love it when I pick one up that is completely unique and captivating. I cannot believe this was her debut novel. It’s so good!

The storytelling and descriptions were remarkable. The pace is perfect, and the characters are relatable. The book captures Fallon’s journey overcoming a rough childhood and conquering fears to become the long-lost princess the falling fae realm needs. This book has a strong FMC, royalty, elemental magic, fae, found family, and portals. The sequel cannot come soon enough. Eagerly awaiting! And I cannot wait to read more of Emma Arch’s work.

i’ve been waiting for this book for so long and it did not disappoint! For a debut fantasy novel this is insanely well written, I am a fantasy girl through and through i’ve read A LOT and this was fantastic. The slow burn was absolutely slow burning😭 The characters are so intricate and well written I feel like they’re real. Fallon is the definition of female rage I love her. The world building was a bit confusing at the start but it is in every fantasy book but I got the hang of it straight away which doesn’t always happen. The plot twists were plot twisting I had to pick my jaw up off the floor a few time. THE ENDING? I need book two right now📚

Thank you to the amazing author Emma Arch for the chance to be an ARC reader for The Nameless Heir!!

This story had so much going on, and I couldn’t put it down. With elements like found family, strong FMC, revenge, and facings one’s demons- this world had everything a fantasy reader loves.

Fallon is one of my favorite characters in this world of Elphyne. She has faced many trials, been thrown out of her home by her own father, lost those closest to her, come close to several life threatening circumstances - but still somehow finds the way to smile in the face of death.

The Clan of Misfits that is created in this world with Fallon as their ringleader, is something so incredibly heartwarming to read. Elowen is a hulder that Fallon saves from a prison cell and is slowly learning I what it means to be brave. Ronen, a misunderstood Nøkken, finds in their friendship what it means to be seen and understood for more than what his heritage is. Together these three create a strong bond, and form their own unique family.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good YA fantasy read, packed with adventure and battle, but also full of magic and heart.

This is such a well written book, the author is seriously so great at bringing in sensory language! I've highlighted multiples throughout the book. There's quite a lot of things going on, and it's multiple pov so it does take some time to really be immersed and quickly understand when it moves from character to character and location to location.

This story has great depth and you can tell there's a lot of layers to it - it also intricately brings in a lot of emotional aspects into it, which I really appreciated. Towards the end, it was getting really interesting because all of the main players come into contact and you start finding out more regarding them. All the main characters are drastically different from one another, but it works well for the story and their relationships to one another. They're all likable and I really enjoyed the story, but I realized that I don't love any of the characters yet, so I'm very curious how the rest of the series will pan out because I can easily see myself loving them as they grow.

TLDR: I enjoyed it and am excited to read the next book!

This story is just so delightful that I wish it was longer. Give me more pretty please! I'm still processing the emotional depth and life lessons at the moment. But I will most certainly be buying the next book.
There were a few spelling errors but I'm thinking it's and indie author and honestly that kind of thing doesn't really bother me. If story is good I'm happy.

WOW... Just finished reading this and uggghhhhh I NEED the next book! This book has a strong FMC who is fiesty and goes on an adventure of finding her true self. This book has banter, lost family, secrets, adventure, magic, and amazing world building.

This story had me sucked in and with the writing I could clearly see the world Emma was writing about. The FMC goes through so much in her life and you see her character grow and mature throughout this book which I really enjoyed. I also loved that this book was written in multiple POVs. I always feel like it gives the characters more depth and the reader gets more from the story being told.

There are some topics that could be triggering for some to read about so I would recommend reading the full synopsis and trigger warnings beforehand.

I highly recommend this book and this story does end on a cliffhanger.

It’s giving Throne of Glass with Vikings and I’m obsessed with it. I am forever thankful to Emma for allowing me to be part of her street team and giving us access to arcs of this story. It’s beautiful. I cannot wait to see what adventures our Clan of Misfits have in the future
