From Titan Books come 24: The Official Companion Seasons 1 & 2, a guide to FOX’s hit action series. Author Tara DiLullo goes through episodes-by-episode, providing a timeline for each hour along with spotlights on various terminology and tech; such as the weapons, organizations, and equipment featured in the show. Additionally, there are profiles on all the main characters and interviews with the cast and crew. There are also publicity photos and screenshots included throughout. However, the episode reviews aren’t episode reviews as such, but rather highlight certain aspects of the episodes or story arcs. 24: The Official Companion Seasons 1 & 2 gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the show and a new appreciation for all that goes into making it.

It's a few years since I actually watched the first seasons of 24 and reading the episode synopses here illustrated just how ludicrous some of the plotting was. The background information on the production of the series was enlightening though, and showed how much of the story wasn't plotted out in advance.
