Kris Renee is a HEA spicy romance writer. Her favorite hero is an alpha male; the strong and silent type, of course. And her alpha females are full of sass and spirit; a perfect match for their mate.
Kris lives in the midwest with her family.
She is a lover of dangly earrings, reading, decorating and peanut butter.
Oh! And sleeping!
Kris enjoys visiting as many State and National Parks as possible on camping trips, roasting s’mores over the campfire every night, and stopping at every ice cream and souvenir shop along the way!

I first found this author on TikTok and absolutely love her sassy personality. The fact that she is an author is a bonus, add on that one of her stories is a Greek/Roman Mythology based… I knew I had to check out her work. Hilarious banter, witty and lovable characters, mythology and spice!! This is a quick and easy read that I absolutely loved.
This is a modern retelling of the Cupid and Psyche myth that is like no other. In this rendition, Cupid is a very “experienced” immortal and is definitely not the chubby cheeked cherub that you may see associated with his name. He is supposed to save Psyche and be done but he just can’t quite let her go, he is consumed with her beauty and breaks all his rules to be with her. Watch out, the spice is SPICY (in the best way of course)!!!
I really appreciated the fact that the author included a glossary of the Roman Gods which included their names and their relation or power as well as a glossary of words and the prophecies. This was extremely helpful in understanding the story.
First off, I had the pleasure of meeting Kris at a book convention this past summer and that is an honor! Secondly, this is a fun, sexy, short story about Cupid that had me giggling, kicking my feet and screaming. I learned some Latin (IYKYK) and some stuff about Roman gods that I found interesting. I really resonated with her excerpt about Christianity in the forward and that made me like her even more (if that was possible haha)
This is a super fast, spicy, good read. If you’re looking to get lost in a book for a couple hours, I highly recommend this. The last paragraph of Kris’ forward is priceless! This is a Do Read.
