Dangerous Attraction is TOTALLY HOT, INTRIGUING AND HOT AS TEXAS IN THE SUMMER. Camille and Vince are a match made in ebook paradise. Their chemistry is smoldering hot and D/s sexy.
This would have been a 5 star read if there had been an actual ending of their story. But it does leave room for a possibility of a sequel. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Camielle is a single mother who wants a better paying job to take care of 6-month old daughter. The local pimp has an offer she can refuse. She's tired of his harassment and the bad neighborhood she lives in. When two of her babysitting clients suggest she dances, she declines. Luckily, they find out that the club bouncer named Vince needs a live-in nanny, and her clients suggest he connect with Camielle. He doesn't mix business and pleasure at the club, though he's propositioned nightly.
When he interviews Camielle, he decides to hire her and lets her know his preference is for a live-in nanny, she balks (but not for long) though she's eager to leave her current living situation. They are attracted to one another and they both know it's a bad idea to get involved. On the day that she moves in, they have sex, before she unpacks all of her things, before she meets his son. When she wakes up to find him gone, she's upset, like they're in a relationship.
They move past her ire and she proves to Vince, she's down for anything. I wasn't sold that she was just that freaky, it felt more, I'll be more of who you want so you don't make me leave. Don't let my review deter you from reading this book, your opinion may differ.

Her friends go to Vince and explains what is going on and he offers her up a solution to become a live-in nanny for his son. Vince is captivated with Camielle right from the beginning and she is great with his son. As feelings blossom between them so does the problems of his job. Will he be able to keep Camielle safe from what is going on.

This is my first book that I've read by Kelani Knox and let me just say, it was sooooo refreshing to have a BIPOC FMC to relate to. I love morally grey to dark romances, but I love them more when I can relate to the character in terms of appearances. Secondly, the chemistry of the two characters, albeit quick, was so smooth and sexy. It was like sipping bourbon--sweet and smooth, yet strong and spicy. The spicy scenes certainly gave me more to look forward to--they were wild and free and top tier erotic; the action scenes had implied sexy as nothing can top a rock solid partnership built on trust and being on the same page mentally while still complementing each other with opposite traits. My only ick is that I wish I'd known this was a single parent romance--but it didn't sway me from reading as I can certainly look past as long as the writing is still encapturing. Needless to say, I will be adding this author to my autobuy.
I'm so confused ... Loved the characters but couldn't keep up with some of the inconsistency. In one sentence he's straddling her on the bed, and in the very NEXT sentence, she's leading him TO the bed. Wonderful storyline, just redo with some edits. Tighten it up.
Camielle is living in a not so great part of town. A pimp is trying hard to recruit her to join his stable. Vince is an associate of the Mafia. He is a single dad trying to make it to made man status. This book has murder, mystery and plenty of 🌶️🥵. It was well written. The book description doesn’t match the actual over all theme of the book though.
Editorial mess. Inconsistent plot line. Far too many monologues that go on for far too long and are extremely repetitive. I felt like shouting, “ok!! I get it!! You gotta free Mike!!!”
Made it to page 20 before I bailed out!!!! This is a strong nope. Scared of a pimp. Wants to get off after drinking about being pumped out!!!! Waist of time.
