Major violation to the Heyer and Cartland's creation of this subgenre of the romance novel is the inclusion of graphic details of sexual intercourse.
2nd problem is his godmother. Usually a blood relative would have been given custody, especially when there was a sizable estate. In chapter 2 and 25, it's confusing who is who. In chapter 17, Beatrice takes a stand that should have been taken from the begining.
Redeeming factors for the novel was the change in the Duke and Prudence emotinal growth and trust/love for each other.
Best advice in chapter 23: Do everything you wished to do, say the words you wish to say. So that even if you do not remember the good moments, you can confidently sigh to yourself, that there are no moments you regret enough to hate yourself or your decisions

The hero has had a lot of trauma in his life and the community sees him as cursed, threrfore, he has withdrawn from most social events. His godmother has other ideas and wants him to marry. The heroine is taking care of her grandmother until she can be reunited with her sisters. They meet at a garden party when she trespasses into the house. He sees her as a way to still his godmother’s pressure to marry as they agree to a fake courtship. I felt at times that the heroine carried her teasing a bit too far, as she was very considerate of others normally. The storyline was good with it taking them both some time to realize that their feelings were changing. I enjoyed this second book of the series and look forward to the other sister’s book.

This book while it has a fun premise is not one I enjoyed. I didn’t like how the perspective changes in every paragraph so i found it hard to keep track of which character was feeling which thing.
I also didn’t like how people had to be told of their feelings like somehow they can’t figure it out themselves. (And I mean told like literally spelled out to them)
And the whole way they tried to resolve it was maddening. I really didn’t like how the grandmother is like she is in love with you to Adrian, and then he goes, oh, well if she’s in love with me that means we must marry and so I’ll
Just go out in the rain and block her path and shout while
she’s in the carriage.

Two troubled characters meet and pretend to court. Seems pretty straight forward! But it's not. There are nuances and depth of character woven into this lovely story of finding oneself. The nastiness of the ton is amplified here and unfortunately, is too close to the truth to ignore. Their idiotic superstitions and ignorant beliefs form a major part of this plot. Struggling to survive under such awful circumstances, Aiden and Prudence find some sweet moments of banter together and realise that there are people around them who care.
Look for the hidden meanings in every scene and you will not be disappointed.

Hard to be blamed for everything!
Words can cause a lot of pain, especially if you’ve heard them since a child. Aiden’s family died from a fever and became he survived, they said he was cursed, he caused their deat, and any time anything bad happened in the village, it was his fault. Prudence lives near and his godmother and her grandmother are close friends, and Prudence has been caring for her grandmother for three years and the form a ruse to pretend courtship to get his godmother off his back.

Hot and steamy
Prudence and Aiden while leaving close to one another have never meet yet her kind heart leads her to take on members of the ton on his behalf when they accuse him of being cursed. This act of kindness leads to there falling in love and having the happy ending all people wish for.

This story revolves around two strong and subborn characters. Howver ne also has a kind and caring nature while the other has been made to feel cursed most of his life and therefore, he has learned how not to feel. Now what can happen when these two decide to have a fake courtship? You will need to read to find this our and more. But beware there are some graphic sexual scenes in this story.

Prudence and Aiden
I love how Prudence is brave enough to stand up to Aiden, she is perfect for him.
He believed he is cursed but is in fact a sweet and kind man. Falling in love with each other during their fake courtship was never the plan. Grab a copy to find Prudence and Aiden happily ever after

Her cursed duke
Beautiful cover of the heroine apt title and enjoyable story. People are ready to transfer their shortcomings and their misfortunes either on God who cannot speak back or some unfortunate human being making him or her to cow down and then enjoying the same.madam authoress has skillfully handled this aspect and I loved every minute of reading the book.

Love conquers all.
A Regency romantic steamy love story with a couple that are totally suited even though they started off their romance as a six week pretending to be a couple.
