An exciting enemies to lovers that will keep you captivated. Autumn is working at Chris's law firm for the purpose of getting revenge. Autumn and Chris get closer as a threat from Autumn's past resurfaces. This book has betrayal, lies, and secrets. It also has strength, love, and perseverance. This was such a happy ending that Autumn and Chris had to fight for!

Complicated Story of Revenue That Backfired
This story starts with a hatred that’s enough to seek revenue. I feel bad for Autumn’s troubles but I didn’t like her until midway into the story. At that point, her revenge quest is all messed up by feelings. Autumn is after the man who prosecuted her brother, Stephen, putting him in prison and that man is Chris Sharpe. She’s having a difficult time continuing with her evil plan to ruin Chris because Autumn doesn’t have an evil bone in her.
Chris Sharpe, CEO and lead Attorney for Sharpe Law is a great guy. Years ago his law practice was as a prosecutor where he gained a great reputation but Chris’s heart was in helping people so he switched to the defense side of the law. At Sharpe Law Chris puts in long hours and for a little “relief” he hooks up with one-night stands but he is still a lonely man. The first lady to captivate him is his new councilor, Autumn and for some reason, she seems to hate him.
Halfway through the story, it gets complicated and intense. Autumn is still hiding her identity and purpose from Chris though he’s winning over her heart. AND she is being harassed by her abusive ex, Kieran. AND Autumn is still looking for a way to get her innocent brother out of prison. “Broken Boss” was an interesting story filled with wonderful characters and Autumn’s lovable dog, Frank. The ending is pretty awesome with a future together for Autumn and Chris and a baby makes three. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and these are my thoughts. Linda

When Autumn’s brother, Stephen was sent to prison for a crime he didn’t do, she decides to become a lawyer. Chris Sharpe is an amazing lawyer who is a pit bull but now owns the firm. He has to find a replacement for his good friend, partner and father figure since he retired. Chris finds that Autumn is not only beautiful but she’s spunky and smart. The chemistry he feels for her is surprising. He’s all he thinks about. Does she feel the same way? Will they cross that line? What will happen when he finds out that she’s out to get him? As she spends time with him, she realizes he’s not the cold hearted man she thought he was. When Autumn’s ex re-enters into her life, Chris realizes that she’s in danger. Will he be able to protect her? Will he even want to when he finds out her secret? Will she get the partnership? Will she save her brother? Is he innocent? If you love a good romance, a little mystery and a wrong righted, this book is for you. The characters are wonderful. They deserve a second chance. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Rating 4.5 stars. Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. A mix of enemies to lovers and employer-employee which had the right amount of sizzle. The law setting gave it an interesting angle which kept me turning the pages. For true blue law/criminal story readers, you'll probably find it lacking or unbelievable or having too many inconsistencies so if you're expecting that kind of law/criminal story, then this book is not for you. But if you're looking for a story where somehow justice is easily served, things work out for everyone, there is some push-pull tension between the main characters which adds to the sizzle, some interesting secondary characters and a sweet HEA, then this book is for you! I thoroughly enjoyed the story and loved the ending but my only issue was that it felt like there were still some loose ends such as what happened to her ex, what did he think she knew, etc. But it doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the story.

I was hooked after the first chapter.... actually hooked after the first 2 sentences! I love that here is a strong female lead, succeeding in a typically male dominated industry, with revenge motivation.
The whole book has impressive detailed description - I felt like I was there watching the first interaction in her office.

Pace is good, flows perfectly. Characters are intriguing and have some mysterious back story that keep you wanting to read more of the book.

Is it wrong that I disliked Marty?!!! that I hoped she wouldn't get anything she wanted!

I'm honestly disappointed that it is over! I want more of the book and It feels almost incomplete 😞 I want to know what else happens, how they are all doing, what happens in the future.

It was a fast, entertaining read. I really liked it and am hoping for more of these characters!

The only reason I didn’t give this book a 5 ⭐️ was that I felt the story like dragged and only hooked me in about 30% in.
(That may have been because I was in a slump though.)

I really enjoyed the suspense and revenge theme intertwined through a romantic plot.

This is an enemies to lovers story with an added layer of revenge and a hot, publicly grumpy (but privately sunshiney) hot billionaire boss. I found the story itself to be creative enough, but I wish more had been done to make their love for each other more believable. The mutual attraction made sense, but the main MMC alluding to love so early on seemed questionable. The characters hardly knew each other at all and every interaction had been flirty and superficial at best. I would have liked more build up and deeper interactions before love was introduced. That being said, I thought the story was creative and the spice was good. The author clearly knows how to write 🌶️! This author was new to me and I definitely am interested enough to check out more of her work.

This book follows on from Broken Daddy and is about Nathan's brother Chris. It doesn't matter of you haven't read that book as this can be read as a standalone but you will get some background on Chris from it.

This is an ememies to lovers story where Autumn seaks to bring down Chris who sent her brother to jail as the prosecuter in his case. What she doesn"t count on is her abusive ex coming back and her developing feelings for Chris and his feelings towards her.

Autumn has always believed her brother was innocent and when Chris volunteers to re look over the file a new attack happens with a familiar M.O. and a suprising suspect caught on CCTV.

I have read a few of Emmas books now and they all have a HEA with twists and turns all the way putting in a few suprises here and there. This book doesn't dissapoint. Great read and a page turner.

I love all of it... the plot, the flow of the story, and the characters. I like that the plot and the spice are equal. I really love the POV of Chris because in the books I've read in the past, the male lead rarely has a POV, even though he's the main character in the book and because of Chris's POV, I understand him better and he impresses me. There is something about the author's writing in Chris' POV. I have read other books by the author before and I was also impressed, this is how I felt when I read Broken Daddy and the male lead is Chris' brother. I will definitely read the authors other book in the future and definitely I will recommend this to my friends.

Chris put Autumn's brother, Stephen, behind bars twelve years ago for a murder he did not commit. Autumn has vowed to prove Stephen's innocence and destroy Chris. What Autumn does not count on is the chemistry between her and Chris. Will their chemistry outweigh her need for revenge? Emma Blake does an awesome job with this story. Her characters and storyline are interesting and never boring, will keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed this book as I do all Ms. Blake's work.

Hours of sacrifice, study, law school and more all for the goal of joining his firm, becoming a partner and crushing him. She took on the outer persona of a tough, professional, masculine person in conservative dress. But that wasn't the real her, so she let the real her shine beneath her clothes in the way of fabulous lingerie. What happens when the attraction and chemistry kicks in> And her ex-reappears bearing anemones and more drama. A cute book that will draw you in from the beginning. When the right person comes along..

I received this as an ARC review and was not disappointed. It follows along from Broken Daddy where we are introduced to Chris and this is his story. For him she’s perfect, the one to break all his rules and ideas about love and capture his heart. Despite all the flags she’s throwing at him… he knows she’s it for him.
Autumn is a whole other story. She’s pursuing him out of hatred for the impact he had on her brother and she’s got only on goal … to bring him down . But we don’t always get what we want and all is not what it seems.

Love that we see family members from the previous book and whilst this jumps rather quickly to a spicy scene which seemed weird at first but fits with the book being equally as fast paced and there were twists and turns I didn’t expect.
Great afternoon read in one sitting.

Autumn is set on getting revenge on the man responsible for sending her brother to prison for a crime that he didn't commit. Joining the firm of the solicitors that prosecuted the case and landing as her boss the man himself she thinks that her path is set. But things are never black and white.

Chris is normally focused on work but is finding it almost impossible to pull his thoughts away from the hot and brilliant new employee.

As you would expect from this author this is a fantastic, fast paced addition to the series. An involved page turner from the start with surprising plot twists, betrayal, suppressed passion and of course a well deserved HEA.

This is the story of a billionaire lawyer and a girl that wants to help her innocent brother get out of prison. Autumn gets a job as the senior law associate at Sharpe Law firm. Christopher Sharpe is the lawyer that put her brother away for a crime he didn’t commit. She wants to get in the law firm and break Chris down and make him suffer for what he did to her brother. Once she gets into the office she starts seeing a side to Chris that she didn’t expect. He is a caring and generous person that just wants to see justice. During this steamy story we find out that Chris is a loving man that is not anything like the cold lawyer he puts out there in court.

I found this book extremely interesting. I couldn’t wait to get back to reading it each day. Not only did you have the passionate love story between Chris and Autumn but you also had the mystery of what happened with Autumn’s brother. The author did a great job keeping you focused on both storylines by going back-and-forth between the two and adding a little extra information each time. You felt invested in the characters as you found out a little about their past, and what makes them the way they are. I will definitely be looking for more books by Emma Blake to read.

However, she never expected things to be complicated and hard for her to follow through with her plan. Its not long before things heat up between Autumn and Chris and her plans starts t fall apart. Will she tell him who she really is? Will he end things between them?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Autumn has worked hard to become a lawyer and get a job with a particular firm too. But as she implements her plan, she starts to have doubts.
Chris is known for being a playboy and cold-hearted in court, but when he interacts with Autumn, his walls start to fall. He can’t stop thinking about her and feels constantly drawn to her.
When her ex appears and starts to threaten her, he becomes his knight in shining armour, even if she doesn’t want him to be.

Wow wow wow, what amazing book. I was captivated by the very first page and it was very hard to put down once I started reading, the chemistry between the main characters was amazing and spicy 🔥and I couldn't get enough. I love how the story line was set and how the spice and romance stayed the whole way through the book. My only dislike was I would have loved to know what happened to the stalker ex fully but otherwise this book is worth every minute 😊.

This is a well written action packed story, which has emotions, family, revenge, humor, witty banter, romance, passion, surprise pregnancy, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, unpredictable, and steamy page turner.

How broken is broken. When you are trying to make a name for yourself in the justice department there are some eye opening things that Chris Sharpe realized. He was working hard for the wrong side of justice and wanted to save the underdog. Here is where Autumn enters .She wants to revenge for her brother. But is she right? How does she accept Chris after her negative feeling have taken over her for so long. Desire vs loyalty and other pros and cons wreck her. Enticing ending.

This is such a wonderful book. The FMC Autumn is such a strong, independent and loyal character that you want only good things for her. The MMC Christopher is a strong, hard driven, manly man that you want him to get Autumn and all he deserves. There are many difficult things standing in the way of true love between Autumn and Chris. I could not put this book down until I finished it. I highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

She had a plan and was making great headway, until he walked into her office. She thought the worst of him based on her past, little did she know how much he had changed. He was trying with everything he had to get her to open up for him. She had a past that was very scary and should stay in the past. Until the past shows up and pushes her into a future she never planed. I would love to see what the future holds for them.

What starts off as a job looking to find revenge and the means to find the clues to setting her brother free from prison turns into so much more when Autumn finds out her boss, Chris, is not really such a bad guy. Chris Sharpe was the prosecutor who put her brother in prison. It was his last case prior to turning to defense law and now Autumn has joined the firm looking to take down Chris. What happens is so much more. This was a really good book and we get to catch up on the rest of the family.

Love secrets and suspense? Enjoy thinking you know everything and reading in to be a tiny bit wrong? This book was so good to read. I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen just to be a little off track. It was enough to make it so hard to put the book down. I binge read the whole thing. Although, I understood where the character’s stood, I still felt a little off kilter the more I read. Which I found I really enjoyed. This is a very good read!!

When Autumn takes a job at Chris firm it was to gather information to being him down, but everything gets turned upside down with the return of her ex. Chris takes matters into his own hands and moves Autumn in with him. This story has fascinating twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages that they take and cheering them on to get a chance for a happily ever after.

This is an enemies-to-lovers story with a bit of a twist (the twist being that the MMC doesn't know he's the "enemy"). It was a great read with an unusual plot. I love how much Autumn loved her brother, and as for Chris, he was swoonworthy. I loved how Autumn got to see a different side of him, and the way their romance developed was amazing. This was such a good premise for a story, but it is ruined with almost immediate sex. Then more sex, in the office, almost every other chapter; anything for an orgasm I guess. Poor plotting, superficial characters, almost every romance cliche here including not knowing how babies are made despite being two supposedly very smart people (good grief). So much for Autumn's grand plans to take revenge on Chris. I don't like her character at all. Skimmed to get through this. Then, it just ends!

I absolutely adored this book. I just loved them. This book is well written. Fun. Steamy. Funny. Romantic. So good. I loved the brothers being apart of the setting. I adored Frank. The mystery keeps you going. Twist and turns. You want to keep turning the pages. For. ....what happens now... The last chapters and ending is so good. I didn't want it to end. Was sad it did. I enjoyed this enemies to lover romance with Autumn and Chris. Autumn experienced a lot of hard knocks in life and let those experiences fuel her success. Chris was closed off due to success and some other circumstances in life. The two made an ideal couple once they got past the past.
