3/5. Okay but I did not really care much fir the characters. I have always liked Kiitchi but I found this flashback volume to be pretty much the same old formula the series uses (love, tragedy related to a crime organization, sex and resolution). I liked the story of the twin's and found that interesting and I loved how this and the last volume gave depth to Haruomi whom from volumes 1-7 ws always a major background/secondary character and pretty static.

This backup story is really entertaining, but i missed my favorite couples Aoe and Naoya so bad... :(

Ich hatte extreme Schwierigkeiten in diesen Manga hinein zu kommen. Ich kann es daher nicht empfehlen ihn ohne das Vorwissen der anderen Teile zu lesen. Bis über die Hälfte war ich komplett verwirrt, wusste weder worum es geht, noch konnte ich die Charaktere richtig unterscheiden. Hier wird nichts erklärt, man wird gleich in die Handlung geschmissen. Es war bei mir eindeutig viel zu lange her, dass ich Band 8 gelesen habe und es ergab null Sinn für mich. Lediglich im letzten Drittel war ich dann endlich drin und die Handlung wurde verständlich.
Die Charaktere reagierte sehr ambivalent und übertrieben. Vom eiskalten Bösewicht zum weinenden Lämmchen. Ein schüchterner gequälter Charakter wird plötzlich zum lässigen Kick-Ass und dann fällt er wieder zurück in seine alte Rolle. Dann das Thema Stockholm-Syndrom was ich auf dieser Art und Weise umgesetzt auch nicht mag. Es gab einfach wenig was mir zusagte und das obwohl ich diese Reihe damals geliebt habe.
Der Zeichenstil gefällt mir weiterhin gut, auch wenn die Charaktere sich wieder sehr ähneln.
Der Manga ist über den größten Teil eher auf Emotionen und teilweise Action ausgelegt und am Ende wird's dann noch erotisch. Es bleibt aber im Rahmen.
Ich werde sicher die Reihe noch beenden, aber richtig Lust habe ich nach diesem Teil nicht mehr dazu.

Ahhh, jadi rupanya Tien Lee kembarnya Haruomi itu adalah cowok yg muncul sekilas di vol 6!!
Wah, baca kisah masa lalu mereka itu, aku jadi berharap Kiichi bisa berakhir dgn dua2nya, Haruomi dan Tien Lee. :p Sayang sekali... Inilah salah satu kasus di mana 3P itu solusi yg pas, menurutku, hahaha. Walaupun Kiichi sempat bimbang sesaat ingin pergi bersama Tien Lee, tapi pada akhirnya dia memilih Haruomi krn Haruomi yg pertama kali muncul dlm hidupnya. Dan saat itu Haruomi sedang terbaring di rumah sakit. Aku penasaran apa yg akan terjadi kalo Haruomi sedang sadar dan menyadari perasaan khusus Tien Lee pada Kiichi. Apakah Haruomi akan merelakan Kiichi utk Tien Lee, adik kembarnya yg telah hidup sengsara selama ini?

Tapi aku entah kenapa masih tetap ngerasa kalo sampai saat ini di dasar hatinya Kiichi itu sebenarnya Tien Lee masih berada dlm posisi yg sejajar dgn Haruomi. Entah apa yg akan terjadi kalo Tien Lee juga ada terus di sisinya Kiichi seperti Haruomi, hmmm....

I really liked the background story about how Kiichi and Haruomi got so close. It was rather brutal, that I admit, but with Kiichi's father in the mix, what could the reader expect? Though I felt really sorry for Haruomi/Tien Lee and his brother Tien Shue...

Though I would have loved to see more about Shugo and his lover Nishiki. That relationship was quite fascinating - Shugo didn't care one bit for his sons but he had no qualms to destroy the man who looked the wrong way at Nishiki. Interesting...

Even more of a flashback with Kiichi and Haruomi and his twin brother, Tien Lee! I'm excited to see more of them and how their reunion goes. Again, the art style is maturing and getting even more beautiful. It's interesting, though, to see that Kiichi was torn between Haruomi and Tien Lee. If he hadn't been with Haruomi at that time, would he have gone with Tien Lee?

More take about Kiichi and Kashima's relationship, now with the addition of Tien Li, Kashima's lost twin brother. Some people really like the OT3 of Kashima/Kiichi/Tien Li, but... I can't... ;___; And I really glad when Kiichi chose to stay with Kashima. I hope Tien Li got a love he deserves, though.
