A newfound strength in our heroine, combined with heroes that are willing to lay it all on the line make for an excellent read. A well thought out plot along with twists I was both expecting and surprised with keep me dangling for the conclusion in this series.
The character development, their growth together as well as individually is almost flawless.
I couldn’t have asked for more.

holy crap

Spice: 3/5

WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT! What a cliff hanger we were left with. I’m in love with this group. Such amazing communication and respect. Not a dumb FMC that just does what she wants and tells nobody and needs saved. We have a strong FMC and a supportive harem for her. This book was great at showing healing from trauma and forgiveness.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Queen of Torment totally wrecked me in the best way possible, it is an excellent follow-up to Queen of Darkness and I want more.

The emotions in this book were real, raw, and brutal. Ari has betrayed Hell, the Trinity is gone and Ari is suffering the consequences with Cass suffering right beside her. You can't use the word strong to describe Ari, it goes beyond that. Growing up in Hell she thought she knew suffering but after saving the angels her punishment is unimaginable and yet she endures it and honestly I don't know how. She will never be the same after the torture but she is trying to rebuild herself and it warmed my heart to see her rebuild and carry on.

Without giving too much away, the Trinity is very much in this book and after the ending of Queen of Darkness, I was totally surprised by their actions in this book. Things didn't go how I expected them to and that was absolutely a good thing. I am happy with the balance that Devyn found with these characters, the only thing I have to criticize is that I wish the book had scenes with the guys' perspective.

I will admit, I was on the fence about Cass in the first book, now I am all in. Cass sorta breaks my heart and then after finally learning about his past, that was it, I was all in with him. Cass's past revealed a lot of interesting things and gave me a better look into who he is as a person than I ever had before. The Cass that is in this book is a total revelation and I really enjoyed it.

As for the story, it was excellent, while there wasn't a lot of action, there was big character development, a better understanding of Heaven and Hell, and a lot of emotion. The flow was steady and the story was interesting. There are dark moments, PTSD, steamy, romance, and a few shocking revelations which all made Queen of Torment a great read. The story ended on a cliffhanger you wouldn't believe and now I am being tormented having to wait for the third book, Queen of Annihilation but it's so worth it.

If you thought Queen of Darkness was good, Queen of Torment is even better! This book really dives into the characters, building on what we already learned in the previous book and showing us new sides to them. This isn't just about personalities either. Sinclair exposes their backstories, the truth behind why the characters act the way they do or why certain actions hit nerves more so than others. The truth behind Cassian's arrival in hell as well as Arielle's is another jaw dropping reveal, nothing that anyone could really predict. It really reinforces the idea that there are no good or bad people, only good or bad actions. Even people considered to be good can succumb to the addiction of power and use it for purposes that aren't entirely moral. But what was really profound and amazing to see in this second book was the amount of vulnerability and growth by all of the characters. Not only was there acceptance shown when disgust or disdain was previously expressed, there was patience and support through traumatic experiences. We all know the punishments that Ari was bound to experience when not completing her mission in the last book, however, we didn't know to what extent. Although she was literally put through hell, experienced endless trauma and pain, and pushed past her limits, with the help of her angels and her ability to take control of her fears, Ari was able to learn from her painful experience and in turn become even stronger because of it. But will it be enough? After the incredibly intense ending of this book, it will be interesting to see how things will play out between heaven and hell when the story comes to a conclusion.

A good follow up novel

The second installment of this series took me for a spin. The book starts off where the first eneded and you get a glimpse into what happens to Ari after she returns to hell. Devyn does a great job of showing Ari's grief and hopelessness during her captivity. Ari is a survivor, which becomes evident because she has to learn how to rebuild herself after the trauma that occurs. The character development that she goes through is astounding and makes sense based on the experiences she has in the book.

Ari's men are another amazing thing about this book . Their ability to forgive her for her past mistakes and move on with their relationship truly makes them Angels. My favorite quote of the book comes from Atlas who says,
"Forgiveness isn’t about what a person. deserves or doesn’t deserve, Arielle. And relationships can’t be built on that. And even if they were, you haven’t earned eternal suffering for acting in a situation where there were no easy choices.”

This book provided us with more history about the vessels and answered some of the questions left after book one. This book ends in a cliffhanger but not one that was really unexpected.

I would recommend this book and can't wait to read the conclusion to this well thought out trilogy

If you thought the first book was good, then be prepared to be blown away by the next one. You definitely need to read the first book Queen of Darkness before reading this one…. I’ll try not to give anything away, but this book does carry on from the first. Characters roles are fleshed out and we are given more details about the trinity, Arielle and Cassian. The action doesn’t stop, and it was hard putting down. There is betrayal/passion and a few twists. It shows us that good people can do bad things and vice versa. Arielle might have been brought up bad, but that doesn’t mean she wants to continue being bad! I thought Arielle was a great character, she’s being constantly bombarded and bullied. But she refuses to become the weapon her father wants her to be…. I liked how Solomon/Atlas/Kai sought to forgive her and show her it was ok to want more. They are there for her, and that’s why it’s so hard for her to forgive herself and the actions she chose in the previous book. I can’t wait to see where the third and final book takes us. 🦋

Feeling Ari alive The Trinity does whatever it takes to rescue her from Hell. Cassian has been stuck watching his soul bonded mate tortured endlessly for three month and not being able to stop it.
Finally he has had enough.

When the Trinity reunite with Ari she is a shell of herself. Cassian has done what he could to help and protect her. But now he’s in Hell maintaining appearances while Ari is attempting to heal from the torture of the last three months.

Watching the bonds between them grow and solidify was amazing. They each bring something different to the relationship. And I loved them all.

Some brutal truths are discovered that bring all five of them closer together. And having found a brief moment of happiness they will do anything to have a future together. Including some hard choices and heart breaking turns they have to navigate.

I received an ARC of this for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

This was just unbelievably good. This book does have triggers, so check them before reading. Arielle for the first time has disobeyed an order from her father and she thinks she can smooth thing's over, but her father has other plan's for her and was it rough. Not to mention her lie to the Holy Trinity the hurt that's left in her place. They think they can just carry on until they realize they don't feel her and their world turns dark as they fight against the demons of Hell. I went into this blind knowing just what the blurb said and once again this arthur takes me away with this story. It was rough what happens to Arielle. There were so many secrets as well as discovering what happened to cause Cassien to become Fallen. There was so many thing's that went on in here I don't want to give thing's away you just need to read it, but be mindful of the trigger's. Now I have to get ready for the last book in the series as war between 2 flames is coming.

Wow, just wow. After the ending of the last book, book two just jumped straight back in there. Ari has betrayed her men and Hell and now she must face the consequences and they are devastating. She is now seen as a traitor and for that, she must be punished and it's brutal.

I wasn't expecting the story to go where it did, in fact, I was expecting someone else to do the "thing" hahaha. Yeah, don't want to give that bit away so shhh.

The whole story was brilliantly written and once I started it I just couldn't put it down. The guys are super hot, and their emotions come across fantastically even when it's from Ariella's point of view.

Also getting a bit more back story on Cass was absolutely perfect, and I really loved the fact that we got to know him a bit more and why he Fell.

Can't wait for book three.

If you have not read book one in this series, do not attempt to read this book. Luckily I have read book one and we continue where it leaves off. Obviously we are going to see what Ari goes through and it is not an easy pill to swallow. At least she has Cassian right? Will Atlas, Kai, and Solomon come to rescue her? Can they forgive Ari? Quite a lot happens this time around. We learn the truth from Cassian as to why he fell? Also there seems to be a change in the tide as to who is light and who is dark? As you read, you will see how the story builds because when the end comes along you will be on the edge of your seat. That ending though makes me wonder what will happen next. How will it all end? I cannot wait for the next book.

This book starts out with our heroine in despair and i won’t lie, i didn’t see a way out of it. Being down there with her was a painful endeavour. When she finally gets out, dealing with the trauma is extremely heavy - to the point where i got anxious - but it’s done in a beautiful and realistic way.

Just like the first book, this book is incredibly fast-paced and it keeps you on the edge of your seat, so my anxiety had a field day. They burned so bright i was terrified for a crash and burn, so with a small heart i’m starting book three. I’m flying through these and it’s a great time!

« You know the things I’ve done. What I’ve had to do. But there is nothing, in any world, that I wouldn’t let burn for you. »

“You belong in Haven, I won’t be the monster who drags you to Hell.”

I will start by saying that I wI will start by saying that I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank so much Devyn and the team over Chaotic Creatives for sending a copy my way!

This is a sequel; I will try and keep my review as spoiler free as possible but just be wary if you haven’t read first book, Queen of Darkness.

Wow, this was an emotional rollercoaster. Thankfully Queen of Torment picks up right where Queen of Darkness left off. The way Devyn Sinclair was able to explore Arielle’s pain and trauma was hauntingly beautiful and felt authentic.

Most of this novel explores Arielle’s healing process. I adore how each of the angels' supports Arielle to heal. Surprisingly, Sol is ready to jump back into their relationship. The way he held her and said that he would be her walls so Arielle could break down and grieve melted my heart. Kai is the one who’s hesitant to jump back into the relationship after her betrayal in the Queen of Darkness. He’s equal parts hurt by her betrayal and devastated that they didn’t come for her sooner knowing what torture she endured. Even though this is a short book, I loved the way Devyn took the time to explore these complex feelings.

We discover that Arielle might be the only person who can take on the Infernal Flame and the ruler of hell, which is harrowing, especially after what she has escaped. I adore that Sol, Atlas and Kai are willing to find another way because they do not want to risk her life again. But Arielle is a stronger woman than I am – I would 100% let the angles protect me and find another way – and she pushes aside her own feelings and safety to risk her life to end the war.

The ending was wild and another cliffhanger, so you better believe I will be diving into the final book, Queen of Annihilation, right away because I need to know what will happen to Arielle and her angels. I think now that Nissa is Queen of Hell, things are about to get 1000 times worse for Arielle and her guys.

This second book was intense, addictive and in some parts tragic (in the best of ways). I loved the characters developments in this book, they gave me so many feels as they navigate how to fight the war between heaven and hell. The first part of the book of full of Ari's pain and torture as we start the book right where book one ended. After reuniting with her archangels, we get revelations, honesty and growth in their relationships. Heaven and hell are fighting a war and Ari and her men are there right in the middle. I loved how this whole story plays out and with that ending.... I need book three asap!

when I tell you I've been waiting for this book since I've finished the last. I MEAN WAITTTING. Devyn, I probably checked your Facebook Groups multiple times a week for an update. And this was the best thing I have ever waited for. CHEF KISSES*

I was sad. I cried. I laughed. I cried some more. A LOOOOTT MORE. This book was just amazing. I like how Devyn slowly let the pieces all come together. It wasn't rushed. This is probably the first series, I've read in awhile that checked everything off my list that I love. Devyn, thank you for this masterpiece. I am anxiously waiting for the third book to come out!

Wow. Just wow.
I absolutely loved this book! There was so much angst and I really felt for Ari. What she had to endure and face in this was intense, her strength and continued love in the face of such traumatic events is beautiful.
Cassian really stepped up his game and pulled me more to his side in this book, while the other 3 gorgeous angels still made me swoon.
I thoroughly enjoyed the character and world building that continues to impress me in this series of books.
I truly can not wait to see what happens next, there was so many shocking turns of event that I'm dying to hear about.
In short, I highly recommend this book. I couldn't love it more.

Average 4.5/5 Stars for the trilogy

Queen of Darkness : 5/5 Stars

Queen of Torment : 4.5/5 Stars

Queen of Annihilation : 4/5 Stars

Thank you to Chaotic Creatives Influencers for providing me with arcs of the trilogy.

I love Devyn Sinclair and she is the author that get me into omegaverse so she holds a special place for me. I had been wanting to read her other non omegaverse books for a while so when I saw this tour I thought why not! This is a completed trilogy out now with new covers and new bonus scenes for each book. It is an angel vs demon enemies to lovers why choose romance and I binged it in 2 days.

Arielle is a trained assassin who has been made into a deadly weapon. When she finally believes she has won the crown she has been trained for she is sent on an impossible mission to kill the angels leading Heaven’s army. To fully gain her crown she has to risk her heart as the four angels who stand in her way to her throne seem to have some kind of connection with her. She has to make the choice between the life she has known and an unknown life with love in it.

The first two books have cliffhangers but since they are all out you can read them together. I loved Arielle and her struggle between what she has known and thought was true and the life of joy she is shown on her mission. Cassian, her first angel, is a fallen angel and there’s been a connection between them since they met but they both knew they couldn’t do anything until she was queen but that changes when Arielle’s father forces them to bond. Cassian just wanted to save her but he had no way to go against orders even if it hurt her in the process. Her other three angels Malakai, Atlas, and Solomon were all complex and each had a complete backstory and stood out from the other. Their connection with Arielle was fiery and hot and I loved the tension.

I can’t recommend this series enough if you want a paranormal, why choose romance series with Angels and Demons.

We follow the Aris journey to the truth of who she is and where she comes from. The whole book was so dark that I could not read some moments and I was skipping to read further because it was becoming really dark

We FINALLY get the full story of Cassian and how he fell…… wow

We get lots of knowledge on archangels and flames 💜….

I just ate this book non stop for 3.5 hours. The story is soo good that I’m jumping into the last and final book immediately

This is the second book in this reverse harem fantasy trilogy. Ari sacrifices everything to protect her loved ones, enduring daily torment in Hell for her betrayal. Despite her suffering, her angels risk it all to rescue her. Free, but still hunted by Hell, Ari faces a final battle that may end it all. This book dives deep into Ari’s emotional journey, showing how she grows stronger through her trauma with her angels' unwavering support and forgiveness. The intense action, character development, and emotional depth make this a gripping read. With a cliffhanger ending, this book leaves you eagerly awaiting the trilogy's conclusion.

This book gave me all the feels. This book is about survival, forgiveness, and love. The torment that Ari had to go through for helping her angels is heartbreaking. She is such a strong character that you can't help but love. And Cassian, I absolutely love him. He has to to so many things he despises but is always there for Ari. I love their relationship so much. The Trinity are awesome and Ari deserves them and all the happiness. This book is so good! I did not want to put it down. That ending! I can't wait for the next book. I need to know what happens!

And...she's done it again!!

Devyn Sinclair has created a world that is captivating and compelling, with twists at every turn. After reading the first book this spring, I'd greedily awaited the release of book 2. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait.

You'll be angry, excited, sad and glad. Keep a box of tissues nearby - unless, like me, you wear your tears as a badge of pride. I also greatly recommend a pot of tea or bottle of wine. You're not going to want to get up once you start this book.

You know that immortal line every romance lover eventually loves to read, "their darkness speaks to mine"? Well that's how I feel about Devyn Sinclairs writing, the darkness speaks to me. From the opening chapter(The authors signature move I'm starting to see) Queen of Darkness makes the darkness swirl around you until you are fully under the spell of the story. From there, escape is futile, and so is attempting to put down this amazing story.

Feeling so much for Ari in this book and the pain she went through was so heart breaking, especially for Cass also, because he couldn’t stop it!!! Love getting to know Ari’s angels and how they help her heal. And the reason why Cass fell explains a lot and affects the Trinity so deeply! The book character development was great and how heaven and hell work was interesting. The book ended on a cliffhanger so can’t wait for the next book!

This book was amazing. The things Ari endured to protect her Angels and what she willing to do at the end for them was just something to behold. She made it through those things and is fighting to be better for them and for herself. The ending was definitely something I wasn't expecting. I am looking forward to next book and to see what her sister is up to. It most definitely won't be anything good.

This book was everything! Torment is definitely a fitting title for this book as the characters experienced so much hardship throughout. Whew, book two was a whirlwind. I can’t imagine everything Ari went through & still she’s incredibly strong & wants to free the people & angels. Her story is even more intricate than I was expecting! Cass’s story is also more intriguing & twisted than I first thought. Book two is definitely more action packed which I really liked but that cliffhanger!! Bring on book three, I need to see these characters get their happily ever after!
