I’m reviewing the story “Beneath the Wisteria” by PS Nail. This is technically a stand alone novella in the series of Primordial Gods novels (Violet flames and Emerald skies) in that it could be read without having read either of the main books and enough information is given for this. However I believe it would be a much more enjoyable read for those who have read the previous books and are more familiar with the backstory and the characters.
It was fun to see Val who is normally so stoic getting so anxious about making everything right for Ember who he loves with the kind of love we all aspire to. His attempts at subterfuge were funny especially Ember and the portals, she did well not to stab him as she threatened earlier.
His final gifts I admit did make a few tears fall, what a fabulous idea and so thoughtful.
Short and easy to read and excellent as I’ve come to expect from PS Nail.

Val makes finding the perfect gift far harder than it needs to be when the perfect gift is right in front of him the whole time.
This is the perfect short story to compliment The Primordial Gods Series. This short will have you laughing and loving the characters more than you already did if you've read the first two books in the series already! If not, it gives you a fun-loving introduction to characters you can't help but love with the right amount of spice to keep you warm on those cold winter nights.
I can't wait to read the rest of the Valentines stories in this book from these great authors!

The Solemn Gift by Rebecca Hefner
It was wonderful to see Leo and Adelyn again. This time around its Valentine's Day and Leo wants to get the perfect gift for Adelyn, in addition to working through a small disagreement they are having. I loved their communication and the ultimate resolution to their disagreement. The gift Leo got her was also so sweet and thoughtful. If you enjoyed the Solitary Protection this is a great addition to their story.

Just reviewed Her Chocolate His Bar by C.D. Gorri
Sonny is finally opening his own whiskey bar, Whiskey Neat, and has an important business meeting with some financial backers coming up. Delani just opened her sweets shop right next-door to Sonny’s bar. This is her dream job and her big moneymaker, Valentine’s Day is coming up. Sonny doesn’t want the smell of chocolate infiltrating his bar when he has the meeting with the backers and Delani isn’t going to close her doors when Valentine’s Day is coming up so they are at an impasse. Will they be able to work together to make Valentine’s Day special?

I absolutely loved this spicy romance collection by a fabulous group of authors! Every story in this collection was a delight to read and enjoyed each and every one! I tried to take notes as I was reading. Please forgive any typos. My handwriting is a mess!
Her Chocolate His Bar-I loved this enemies to lovers romance. Sonny’s whiskey bar was so cool and Delani’s chocolate shop made me so hungry! I loved the delicious descriptions and amazing characters!
Be With Me-I loved Adi and Stone so much! I was sucked into the characters and Steely Ridge setting from the start. I loved how it was a biker club, but they have a softer edge too. I definitely need to read more about these guys!
Pretty Weeds-Violet and Brynn were great! This FF romance with witches and changelings was fun to read and spicy hot!
The Mental Bakedown-I love a great baking romance! Willa enters a baking reality show and her arch nemesis is one of the judges. Yes, please! In addition to the numerous baked goods that were delicious to read about, I loved the misunderstandings and steamy makeups.
Whirlwind of Whispers-This story had a lot of drama and I was there for it!
A Chance Encounter-I thought this story of a chance encounter at a bar was a fun and unique meet cute!
The Date-This MC romance had two characters who are determined to make a first date go south, which was hilarious! I loved Dalia and Dekker and loved how they wound up falling for each other despite their best efforts.
The Solemn Gift-I love The Etheyra’s Earth series and was so excited to read more about Leo and Adelyn. Their twins are now four years old and Leo wants to get his wife a special gift for Valentine’s day from her birth family. One thing I really love about their love story is how it touched so well on the theme of adoption in both their backstories. Loved this one!
Hearted by the Ogre-This was such a neat story with a fairy tale feel to it. Cassandra and Maximus captured my heart right away. She’s a refugee in the ogre kingdom. He’s the newly crowned sovereign. Steamy and sweet. Loved this!
Matched-I was cackling in this one as June tries to find a match at speed dating night. The horrible dates were just too funny! Fortunately she finds a better match the following morning.

Hurts Like Hell-This was a fun short story with demons and a fun writing voice!

I had the amazing opportunity to arc read two of the stories, Be with me by April Berry and Pretty Weeds by Becca Fogg. This anthology feature stories from many of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading the rest. My reviews are as follows for the two stories I read and are left of my own volition.
Be With Me by April Berry
Be with Me curtails on Won’t Let go. Between gearing up for the charity ride and remodeling the club is staying busy.
Stone is the CFO of the biker club.
Ari is an architect at a local firm by day and bartender by night. When Stone hires her to remodel the offices sparks fly.
Be with me is a decent short story it really only shows us a small snippet of life and the biker club. However, I feel like Stone and Ari lack character depth. This story in this book definitely pushed directly toward the spicy scenes verses being more plot orientated. It’s a great short story for anyone looking to get to the spice quickly.
Pretty Weeds by Becca Fogg
Pretty Weeds is a sapphic short story with a heated spicy scene towards the end. It is an emotional ride for such a fast journey. It takes place entirely on the evening of Valentine’s the exception the afterword.
Bryn is confident, bold, mysterious, and demanding. She knows what she wants and how to achieve it.
Violet is clumsy, earnest, and wants nothing more than to prove herself to her coven. Unfortunately to that end, she runs in to Brynn and goes on a wild ride.
I adore these two characters and would love to see a full book spawn with further adventures from these two. There is a strong good girl vibe going on and I am here for it. I can’t wait to see more.

Disagreements and Making Up
4.5 stars - I'll give it to you straight. I've only read the first two books in the Etherya's Earth series and this occurs much further down the line. Even so, I was easily able to follow along and enjoy this quick read. I'm uncertain if going in completely blind to the world would net the same results.
As to our mated couple, Adelyn "Addie" and Leo, I absolutely love them. Leo's attempt to do something incredibly special to celebrate the mortal holiday is so heartbreakingly sweet, it brought tears to my eyes. 😢
I appreciate that even these immortals have problems that the everyday person can relate to be it body image concerns, disagreements on how to handle certain situations, and ways to prepare for what may lay ahead for their future.
I love the intense heat between them as they surprise each other and prove in a couple of ways why their bond is strong. It's wonderfully hot and erotic. 💚🔥💜

She vehemently loved her strong, grumpy protector and would do anything to keep him out of harm’s way. Even during the angry moments when she, quite literally, wanted to strangle him.

A fun Valentines love story! Sonny is starting a whiskey bar and his own line of whiskey, Whiskey Neat. He has an important upcoming meeting with some financial backers that he wants everything to be perfect for. But the candy store next to his bar is putting out the most delicious smells, unfortunately that is not what he wants his backers to be smelling. So easy solution, ask she to close down for one day.
Delani has opened her dream store, a candy shop. She is doing well, but she is really counting on the income from her busiest time of year, Valentines Day. So when her hunky, hot neighbor comes over to see her and asks her to shut down her business for a day she is livid! She boots him out of the store and refuses to see him or talk to him again.
Now Sonny is really in a pickle, because he has gotten a “taste” of Delani and he is addicted. Poor boy doesn’t know what to do with himself. Add to that, his caterer for his big meeting cancels at the last minute and he is in big trouble! But when Delani is in danger, he is there to rescue her. Can the two of them work together to solve both their problems?.

This review is for the story, Her Chocolate. His Bar. It is a short and steam Valentine's themed instalove, curvy girl gets her hunk romance. Delani is a curvy young confectionery owner and chocolateir. Sonny is a hunky whiskey bar owner with dreams of his own distillery. His bar is next door to Delani's shop. He's been attracted to her since he met her but she had a boyfriend. She thought he was pretty hot also. When he overhears that they broke up after he cheated on her, it's game on. They end up having a heated, sexy encounter, only for Sonny to mess it up, asking her to close on Valentine's Day as he has a whiskey tasting for investors. Needless to say, she feels used. But an event brings them back together, and OMG is it hot 🔥🥵. These two have insane chemistry, and we got a very happy ending. This was my first C.D. Gorri story, but not the last. I have to read this whole series and am so excited to tap into her shifter series, too!!.

A fun and sexy little read. Violet and Brynn bring the sexy looks and light hearted banter.
Fogg gives plenty of background in five short chapters without ruining the flow and leaves readers with the feeling of more to come!

I read one story in this anthology and loved it. I read C. D. Gorri's story Her Chocolate His Bar. Sonny has opened his dream whiskey bar. His next neighbor store is a chocolate store run by Delani. His first sight of Delani and he is immediately attracted but she already has a boyfriend. He keeps his distance until he goes next door to ask a favor. He has an important meeting to help his bar succeed and he is afraid that the scents of chocolate will ruin his chances. When he goes over to ask her to take the day off, he hears her breaking things off with her boyfriend over the phone. . He immediately makes his interest known and the two end up in a passionate embrace. When he asks her to close on her busiest day, she gets furious. Can he convince her that he wants her for herself and get her to forgive him?.

The Solemn Gift An Etherya’s Earth Short Story By Rebecca Hefner
This is a sweet little story about Adelyn and Leo from The Solitary Protector. We get to see what they’re up to and what a thoughtful sweetheart Leo is when it comes to Valentine’s Day. This is one of my favorite series, and I always want more, so I was excited to read this and see what they and company are up to. I believe Rebecca Hefner put it best with this “Because I needed a bit more time with Leo and Adelyn, plus a dash of Sadie with a sprinkle of Nolan. Enjoy!”….well said, well said.

I read Pretty Weeds by Becca Fogg via an ARC✨
I cannot WAIT for her to release more about the series this short story is setting up for. Pretty Weeds introduces you to a coven and sets up the societal structure of this world.
Then you meet the characters.
I love that you got a taste of who each of them are through their actions in the story. There’s no big character building, which may be intentional to allow BF some freedom in planning the series, but it leaves you wanting more.
The short story is a complete story in itself, but BF wove loose strings through it that you just can’t WAIT to watch tie together.
How did the moonstone really break? What did Brynn really want? Did she take anything before Jay saw her? Why did Jay so readily cover for her? Why was Edo so nice to them? And what will he be cashing in his favor for? What really ARE changelings?
Can’t wait to read more!!

I’m reviewing Beneath the Wisteria by PS Nail. It’s a novella set in the primordial gods world included in this anthology. You could read it without having read the two novels that are part of the primordial gods series (Violet Flames and Emerald Skies), although there are some events mentioned in this story which would be spoilers for the other two books if you only read this story first.
It was so much fun to get to spend a little time with my favorite characters! They were doing some cozy fun stuff, rather than fighting demons, which was a nice change of pace. This story was set during the days leading up to a festival which had Valentine’s Day vibes, and it followed Valerian as he was struggling to find the perfect gift for his love, Ember. It was super cute, as well as very spicy 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ so much fun!

I devoured the rest of April's Sons of Steely Ridge series and I was so excited she included this in the anthology! I love her writing, always giving us very sweet romance, spice, and humor.
Hurts Like Hell by Andi McClane
I *devoured* Andi's debut novel (Touch Me) so I knew I'd love her addition to this anthology. I was NOT expecting a demon romance. Did that make me fall in love with Andi that much more? Yes. It absolutely freaking did.
Overall I think this anthology was really well done and it supported a great cause!!

Sonny had opened his dream whiskey bar in New Jersey and was hoping to attract investors for his own whiskey brand. Delani opened a chocolate shop next door. Sonny was obsessed with her from the second he saw her but soon learned she had a boyfriend. He wanted her from afar. When an investor set up a tasting he went to talk to Delani about her shop but learned she was newly single and took his chance to make her his. Sweet, fun, hot, steamy story with amazing chemistry, love, romance, misunderstandings, miscommunication, a loving, caring hero and a wonderful HEA.

LOVE!
My review and rating is for two stories in this anthology. The first is Beneath the Wisteria by PS Nail. The second is Hurts like Hell by Andi Mcclane. Luckily for me both of these stories were fabulous and both are five stars. Beneath the Wisteria was an excellent novelette addition to the Primordial Gods series. I thoroughly enjoyed being back in that world. Hurts Like Hell was an amazing first-time PNR for new author Andi Mcclane who is showcasing her impeccable writing skills once again.
I love this anthology and I’m so happy that the proceeds are benefiting the National Alliance for Mental Illness.

Sonny goes over to see Delani with a proposal because some backers for his bar are coming for a meeting.
Well, that doesn't go over too well but he does leave Delani with a sweet for her sweets.
This is short and sexy, and it will rock your Valentine...

I read The Solemn Gift by Rebecca Hefner. This is an entertaining, well written short story that takes place on Etherya's Earth. We are treated to another story about Addie and Leo. It is Valentine's Day and Leo is trying to make up with Addie after a fight. He does it in the best possible way, but you must read this to find out how! If you enjoy fantasy, romance, humour, and especially Etherya's Earth, you will love The Solemn Gift.

As a single witch on Valentine's Day, Vi is voluntold to check the ward lines around her coven. Normally she performs the task with her also single best friend, but a visiting witch, Brynn, is instead accompanying her.
Vi is attracted to Brynn, which leads her to tripping and breaking one of the moonstones that form the wards. How can they replace the stone before anyone finds out ....or something gets in?
Cute and short, this was perfect for a quick read.

Pretty weeds by Becca Fogg. I received this copy for an honest review. This story was a fast read and very entertaining. The FMC is a witch and she ends up breaking something important, but also meets someone “Brynn” who she can’t keep her eyes off of . It’s Valentine’s Day and she needs to figure out how to restore it. So she and Brynn go on a small adventure around town. This book will keep you on your toes and it will go by so fast. I definitely recommend this book. Not only do you get this story, but you get to read a quite few more story’s from other authors.

What a bonus novella/short romantic story about Addie and Leo. I just had to read it upon receiving last night. Rebecca you make Etherya's world seem like family. I can emerge myself in it and I saw lots of potential for more books in this series to look forward to.

Krys is an amazing author! I loved this story. Super sweet. Bobby omgg I loved him. That dirty talking, whew so hot. Shayla was a great fmc. Very strong and overall relatable.

Her Chocolate His Bar by C.D. Gorri is part of the XOXO: A Steamy Valentine’s Day Romance Anthology. Sonny owns a bar and chocolatier Delani owns a chocolate store right beside it. I enjoyed reading their story and seeing them get a happy ending. I think I might read this again closer to Valentine's Day next Month.
