Its official im emotionally drained i need to lie down in a dark room after another mind blowing read by the stunning Monica James!

The review

Even after a good nights sleep im still feeling emotionally drained from this beauty, Monica James, has the knack of being able to torture your mind, body and soul, leaving your emotions spinning for days after!

Wow this is what i can say about Surrendered, first this should come with a WARNING sticker, first you will need a box of tissues, second it is advised that all items within reachable distance should be removed immediately and third do not expect your heart to be in one piece by the end of it :)

I know the first 2 books in the series were amazing but in my opinion, Monica took the final book to a whole new level and to say it was heart breaking was an understatement!

However, if you think nobody could top Ava's psychotic ex for nasty shit of the year think again because by freaking heck does Danielle's claws come out to play and even Freddie Krueger wouldn't stand a chance against that bitch!!

However, i will not give nothing away but what i will give you is 2 sums

(Jasper+Ava) + (danielle+indybitch)

= DEVASTATION

now a hint

Jasper + Ava + love = CONQUERS ALL

I hope for the life of me there will be more Jasper and Ava to come in the future then i refuse to think any different because im not ready to say goodbye to them as yet!!
It would be amazing to see Jaspers journey as a rockstar and how Both jasper and Ava would cope with fame, fortune and bitches!
(Maybe with a baby thrown into the mix to)

Please dont let this be the end Monica (no pressure) :)

Spoiler-free review

Surrendered (I Surrender, #3) was worth the wait. This book is an absolute must read if you love this series like I do. I’m on vacation, and it should be the happiest time ever...so my friends were probably wondering why I had tears in my eyes and wanted to drop kick my Kindle a few times. This book really got to me. Surrendered was one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride. I have read so many trilogies where the third book feels rushed, turns all uber mushy or just plain meh. Not this book. What a great mix of drama, angst, twists and turns and then a perfect HEA. I love that Jasper and author Monica James.

SURRENDERED (I Surrender #3) by Monica James

REVIEW: 3.75 stars-SURRENDERED is the third instalment in Monica James’s I Surrender series focusing on up and coming chef Ava Thompson and rock god/singer Jasper White. Surrendered commences immediately after the events of book two Surrender To Me. The series must be read in order for cohesion and understanding.

The storyline follows Ava and Jasper as they traverse the minefield that has become their lives. Jasper’s mother, a former addict and alcoholic, continues in her attempts to destroy Ava and Jasper’s relationship while pushing Jasper’s former girlfriend Indie in an attempt to break them up. As Ava tries desperately to understand Jasper’s need to continue his relationship with his mother, it is the ex girlfriend and the groupies that have Ava seeing red.

SURRENDERED is a storyline that is emotional and intense because there is very little happiness throughout the book for our leading couple. Someone is always attempting to destroy what is left of the fragile hold on their love, and a mistake in judgment and observation will find Jasper and Ava struggling to remain as one. Ava’s inability to communicate with Jasper finds our couple in a constant state of turmoil and agitation because Jasper knows Ava is hiding something or not telling the truth.

Jasper’s connection to his abusive mother is one that many people will have a difficult time understanding or accepting. Yes, the woman has issues, as do we all, but her need to control her son makes Jasper appear weak and desperate for attention from a woman who does not know what it is to love. It is this side of Jasper’s personality (and his relationship with his mother) that drove a good portion of the storyline and in this, the emotional distress was a little disconcerting and controversial. While Ava fails in her attempts to tell Jasper what is going on, Jasper fails in his attempts to protect the woman that he loves allowing his manipulative mother and his ex to control his life.

I will add that some of the circumstances in the book left me upset and in disbelief. Ava and Jasper both have issues of trusts due to events from their past, but it is these issues that continue to control their present. At times I felt my anxiety levels rise then something would happen that would add further to the angst and I would have to shake my head in disbelief.

SURRENDERED is a heartbreaking and emotional tale of family, life and love. While Jasper lives in the moment, the fandom and the fame, Ava sees the big picture and realizes that Jasper’s life has been destroyed by the actions of the woman who professes unconditional love. If you look up the definition of family dysfunction, Jasper’s life is the text book case.

I was lucky enough to have been asked by Ms. Monica James to do a read through of Surrendered before it was released and WOW! I am still trying to come up pith the words to express just how amazing this story was! Monica really brought it in the third and final installment of the I Surrender series, and most definitely ended things with a bang. I am not sure that anyone, myself included, is ready to say goodbye to the infamous Jasper White.

Ladies, you wanted more Jasper, and it was what seemed like a long and grueling lapse in time, but let me tell you… it was well worth the wait!

This entire series has been a crazy whirlwind of emotions, and Surrendered was no different. I found myself going from happy to sad to mad in a matter of one tenth of a second. Who knew one could go through such drastic emotional changes in less time than it takes to blink your eye. There were times that I wanted to simultaneously hate Monica for all that she put Jasper and Ava through (and for what she put me as a reader through as well), and also hug her for writing such captivating stories which made me feel alive. Monica has this special talent where she is able to make you feel as if you are living out the events in the book instead of reading about someone else's story. I was at times finding it difficult for my brain to accept that everything was indeed a work of fiction, and in fact not actual events.

Every time it seems that Jasper and Ava will finally get their Happily Ever After, more and more obstacles are thrown in their path. Jasper's ex, Indie, and his mother seem to be closer than ever, and both are relentless in their attempts to break apart the relationship between Jasper and Ava once and for all. The drama is at an all time high (and so was my anxiety), and this book will keep you turning page after page completely unsure of what to expect will happen.

Secrets are uncovered, lies unfold, and hard realities come crashing down in this intense series end. Can true love survive in the end?

Oh how I love Jasper and Ava! This book was filled with ups and downs and heart stopping moments. I literally thought they wouldn’t make it. Ava did get on my nerves when it came to being honest with Jasper. I thought with everything that has happened to them, honesty would be the best policy. Nonetheless, I loved the story and loved the drama with Jasper’s mom and Indie. Jasper was just so amazing that it hurts (in a good way); I literally wanted to jump in the book and take Jasper away. Again, my only problem (it’s becoming a common annoyance with the books I am reading) the EPILOGUE!! Maybe I am a little greedy, but come on, when you read about an epic couple I think a killer epilogue should go with it. I so wanted more at the end because I felt that I went through everything with them (yeah I sound crazy). Jasper and Ava will be added to my top 5 list of favorite couples. Thank you Monica for introducing Jasper and Ava into my book life; I cannot wait to read more of your writing.

I stayed awake on release day and finished this book in one sitting, I wish I could turn back time and reread the series for the first time now!

This story finishes off the trilogy perfectly in my eyes, even though I kinda guessed something right at the beginning, but that's just me being me!

I love love love Jasper! I can't stop thinking now of his cerulean eyes. Ava is brilliant too. The way she puts aside her own feelings, and possible future, for the sake of Jasper, shows what type of person she is.

As soon as I finished this I messaged the author and kind of told her off! She absolutely broke my heart near the end of the book, then had me smiling again by the end!
She puts the characters through so so much in this book, but of course it has to be that way in order for everything to, hopefully, work out.

Love this author, love this series, and can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Just finished the entire series in one big swoop. I stayed up late each night desperate to see what happened next. It was a great end to a jam pack story packed with angst and drama.
Jasper and Ava were pretty much love at first sight. Then love and fight, love and fight, love and fight. Their relationship journey was full of meddling outsiders. These outsiders had me internally shouting at them and our couple for being so easily played. Jasper and Ava also had themselves to blame for a lot of the drama. The lies or withholding of information regardless of the good intentions also had me internally shouting. I loved this series but I'm also a little worn out with how many times they walked away from each other. Lol
Overall great story with lots of twists and turns and nasty people getting their come upends.

What can I say...Blown away! I absolutely love everything about this trilogy.
Jasper and Ava are forever going to be characters that I remember. Their love was amazing.

So many hurdles, obstacles stood in the way of their love, there forever and a day.
When you love something let it go, if it comes back it's yours....Ahhh, I shed many tears during this series. literally from start to finish. At some points i was holding my breath waiting for the next atomic INDIE & DANIELLE bomb to drop!

True love is an amazing thing. When you Surrender yourself to someone be sure you have surrendered to yourself first ;-)

Thank you, Monica James for another book that knocked my damn socks off...in a wonderful way!

Wow! Where do I start..? This book is a complete roller coster of emotions. I spent my time being frustrated, shocked, in love, and a cry baby! I even had evil thoughts about some characters. This final chapter in jasper and Ava's story is heart wrenching and heart breaking and even heart warming! So many twists and turns and painful events have you falling in love deeper with these characters. V feels like she could be your best friend and be invited to gigs all the time :)) so sad this series has ended as they have been a big part of my book world. And after waiting so long for this book I can safely say it was SO worth the wait!! Thank you Monica for bringing Jasper and Ava to life xx

Come dire!?

In conclusione?

Simona

Absolutely amazing!!! I love this whole series, but this was by far the best book of the three! Jasper was even hotter than before. Though I didn't think that was possible. This book had me feeling everything Ava and Jasper felt. I was happy, pissed, and heartbroken. There was even a moment that I was ready to buy a plane ticket to Australia to ask Monica, "How can they do that?" If you've read it you know what part I'm talking about! If you haven't yet then as soon as you get there you'll know it. By far one of my favorite books this year!

OMJ, oh my Jasper. I thought Surrender To Me was a roller coaster ride but then I read Surrendered. I was happy, sad, conflicted, excited, depressed, heart-broken and overwhelmed; there were other feelings as well but then my review would never end. Ava and Jasper prove that life sucks and sometimes it seems that the downs are so much more than the ups. Ava and Jasper prove that love can and will conquer. I am sad that the journey has ended for Ava and Jasper but I have been delighted to go along for their ride. Jasper has and will always be my rock god. I love Jasper forever.

4.5 stars!! I TOTALLY LOVED THIS SERIES!!! Yes that is shouty caps!! I started book 1 early hours of the morning and apart from breaking for work and kids duties etc etc etc I stayed up until I had read all three in the series. Yes I was that addicted to Jasper and Ava's story. At times I was frustrated, but mostly I was emotional. They were a beautiful read and one that I thoroughly enjoyed and will remember. I am just hoping that Monica James can be persuaded to continue their story because I am not ready to let them go just yet!! (full review to come)

So why did I give it 5 stars if I hated it? Because I secretly loved it! This was an epic emotional rollecoaster and my heart broke several times for both Ava and Jasper and I could feel their pain. Many ugly tears streamed down my face as I read the book, so much was happening and up until the end I was on pins and needles, how will it turn out for them?

If there is one thing I didn´t like about this book is has to be the ending, it just... ended. I need more!

Sometimes when you get to the 3rd book in a series it can be a little dragged out and boring but I have to say not this, this had me falling for jasper white all over again and crying all over the place. To say I loved this is not enough I couldn't put it down once I started it. Truly an amazing end to an amazing couple I would definitely read more especially more V, super best friend and fantastic character. 5 whooping stars.

Wow. Loved it. Ava and Jasper relationship goes up and Down. Jasper is trying to reconnect his relationship with his mom who can't stand Ava. She's tries everything to break them up and reunite Indie. A lot of emotional had to bring tissues with me while I was reading. I can't believe it's over. Enjoyed the trilogy. A must read.

OMG! This book destroyed me. Nothing is ever easy for this couple, but I think what they went thru in this last book had me wondering if they would ever get a HEA.

Kudos to Monica James for writing an ending that kept you guessing right up until the last few pages of the epilogue!

Reread #3 2024 -

This is always the hardest book in the series to read. It's so heartbreaking but the ending is perfection! I love Jasper White so damn much, words can't even describe how much!

Reread #2 -

That ending always has me in tears of sadness then happiness!
