This was an enemies to lovers billionaire romance.

I loved how the author skillfully wove the suspense elements into the love story. Great characters. Highly recommend!

Rayne Bryant resigns her job at the hospital she has worked at for a decade after her fiance dumps her because he got her friend pregnant. Her best friend Brittany tells her about a job opening in their hometown.

Drey Marshall is a billionaire developer. His company is Atlas Corp. He built and operates the local firehouse. He was forced to return to Cedarville to fulfill the terms of his father's will. He has a much younger sister Claudia.

Rayne returned to Cedarville to interview for the job as the head of the paramedic section of the fire station. Frank, Brittany's husband and fire chief, hired her. He takes her to meet their boss who turns out to be Drey and she quite on the spot. They had a complicated relationship in high school. She later asks him for the job and he agrees. They act coldly professional towards each other until a work dinner where they end up spending the night together. They continue to hook up on the down low. Meanwhile her ex shows up in town to get her back and cause problems. Also a big real estate development company approached Drey to form a partnership. Everything comes to a head when Rayne is kidnapped and Drey helps rescue her. They get their HEA.

Stuck with the Grumpy Firefighter is a steamy, frenemies-to-lovers, second-chance, office romance. Rayne is a sassy paramedic who has decided to move back to her hometown after her fiancé of 5 years cheated on her a month before their wedding. Drey is a hunky, grumpy billionaire and former firefighter. The two have a complicated past, and she doesn't expect him to be her new boss when she takes the head paramedic position at the firehouse. She loved him when they were in high school, and he walked away. As they work together, feelings both good and bad resurface. This book had it all, romance, mystery, drama, and suspense. These two had insane chemistry. It was so hot. I'm surprised my Kindle didn't melt. But the hot and cold with Drey upset me at times. However, after a lot of the drama was resolved, we got the most amazing HEA. This was my first book by this author but not the last. I loved it!.

WONDERFUL, STEAMY and UNFORGETTABLLY FANTASTIC book Meghan has right here for us. I had some tears in my eyes at times because some of what Rayne goes through. It is very realistic, and I feel bad for her. This was one intense and romantic book, and I loved reading it. Any type of Paramedic/Firefighter Romance books draws my attention because I myself am a Paramedic. This book has a lot of Romance, SUSPENSE and SURPRISES that make you both Sad and Happy.

Best of Meghan Blake's books, so far. The plot had tension, mystery, corruption, and romance. The main characters receive a second chance at love while dealing with an ex-fiance, a frisky employee, and an unscrupulous businessman. I loved the HEA. I received a copy, and I'm voluntarily giving my honest review.

Second Chance Fire

Rayne moves back home to start fresh after finding out her ex wasn't who she thought he was. However, she is now working for Drew, her ex from high school which only adds to the drama of this story. What an exuberant plot with twists that were unexpected yet truly heart pounding.

It was fun to see how the two of them worked through their past as well as dealt with what the present was giving them. The characters were wonderful to get to know and the setting added some drama.
