Icing It

Sex is a fantastic stress reliever.

Or so I’m told by the two hot guys who offer to help me get over some of my work-induced anxiety by getting under both of them.

I say yes. For one night.

And proceed to have my world rocked. For three days.

I can not afford that kind of distraction. As fun as it was, I have a business to run, a loan to pay off, and a life to live that does not include any extra commitments or responsibilities. Especially not a golden retriever hockey player and a bossy billionaire who are in love with each other and want to make me the third in their long-term plans.

And let’s not even talk about the third guy who wants to date me. He’s my brother’s coach. And twelve years older than me. But he’s also a single dad to a pretty great teenage son, and his competence and gentlemanly behavior are really hard to resist.

Of course, there’s also the not-so-gentlemanly things he says and does behind bedroom doors…

Then they all go and fall in love with me. Even though one of them is definitely not interested in making this a full-time foursome.

And the icing on top?

I’ve fallen for them, too. All of them.

How can I possibly choose?

Worse, how can I possibly walk away?

Icing It is a steamy, fun why-choose rom com! No cheating, and a guaranteed HEA!

Thank you to Good Girls PR for this ARC!

Unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me. I love sports romances and MMFM why choose romances but this one didn’t really click for me.

Now this was my first Emma Foxx book so maybe if I had ready some of the others in the series I would have connected better.

When the fourth (yes you read that right, 4th) sentence in this book is ‘ “I’m trying to find three hot guys to have a hook up with” she tells her friends ‘ I had to roll my eyes. It seemed like a bit of a lazy way to begin this story into a why choose situation.

The FMC also notes ‘I’m cute and I make baked goods so men should appreciate me’ when talking about herself out-loud. I honestly thought that maybe this was going to be the antagonist of the book for a minute because I said in my head ‘wow can she be any more full of herself. Hate this girl already’. Turns out she’s the main character 🙃🫠. I will say she did get better as the story continues but the first chapter put a bad taste in my mouth.

I wasn’t a fan of the initial spicy scene as I felt kind of like the guys should have talked to her ahead of time of what they liked and what to expect. If the person who invited me back to their place in the first place refused to kiss or touch me and in an initial physical interaction covered my mouth to not let me speak and said ‘you’re going to shut up now’, I’d be getting up and leaving that apartment as soon as possible.

I only felt a connection to one of the three MMCs and was frustrated that everybody else in the group didn’t really seem to listen to his reservations or concerns regarding the make up of a poly relationship. Thank god for FMC’s brother who actually gave sane advice and was reasonable.

I ended up enjoying the one MMC and the side characters of the book significantly better than the other two MMC and FMC.

I think my biggest issue was that everything felt a bit undeveloped for me. I wanted to see more of everybody’s interactions with one another outside of spicy scenes. Like I think there was only one scene with Cam and Alexei hanging out together even though they’re a main part of the relationship, bff’s and roommates. It seemed a bit like they didn’t have interactions with one another without physical aspects or focusing and talking about Luna.

I wish the development of the relationships between the FMC and each of the MMCs were focused on more. Everything felt surface level as she spent time with each one on one only one time each through the entire book.

The conflicts weren’t developed. They hinted towards a big conflict with talking about the relationship publicly. But then that entire conversation happened outside of the story and apparently everybody was fine with it? Seems unlikely and why wasn’t that in the story where we could read it in one of the MMCs POV’s ?

Ended up skimming the last portion from about 85% on since I felt like there wasn’t really a plot to go through and I didn’t feel the connections between characters. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Bravo to the author for writing and publishing this book as that’s certainly a tough process! It just wasn’t my jam this time.

Icing It by Emma Foxx is a spicy why choose hockey rom com! We see some spicy scenes, right from the start and they only get better as the book goes on! At first I was thinking I wish I had more plot before the first spicy scene, but plot does continue to develop along with each character as well. I absolutely love all the guys and I can’t even pick a favorite, so I don’t blame Luna for not choosing either!

I haven’t previously read any other books by Emma Foxx, but will have to check out some of Dani’s story as well.

This releases on March 29th, so if you are looking for a spicy and fun hockey romance, check this out!

Thank you Emma and Good Girls PR for the ARC! 💕

When it immediately said, if you like Lauren Blakely's why choose books, I knew I immediately was going to love this one! I loved how all the guys did everything to make her happy and how close they all came to be.

About: Luna owns her own bakery, but always felt like she was living in her brother Crew's shadow. Crew plays on the same team that Alexsei does. Emma caught Alexsei's eye immediately and he had to have her. While his best friend/roommate Cameron harbors feelings for Alexsei and will do anything for him even if that means sharing Emma. He's the grumpy billionaire that definitely has his way with things. Then there's Coach Owen. While he was hesitant about this whole arrangement in the beginning, he slowly learned that all of them made Emma happy and they're all she needed.

Recommend if you enjoy:
-why choose
-hockey romance
-age gap/single dad
-teammate's sister

Rating: 4/5 ⭐️
Spice: 5/5 🌶️

So I read the first book in this series and it was ok. I wasn't overly interested in following the same group so I skipped ahead to this one, and again, it was just meh.

First, the characters are very surface level. The author tries to give them background and depth, but misses. Things about their personality and struggles are brought up, but we don't actually see anyone work through them, the FMC especially. It's constantly brought up in the beginning how she has no time, is overworked, and struggling. And we see no work or changes happening really and then in the end she is just in a poly relationship with three men and has the time for it?

The way the group was brought together was kinda ick. I didn't like that the one MMC was basically in love with the other and only going along with threesomes so he wasn't "left out". But then magically despite never being attracted to women he finds "the one" in the fmc? I wanted to like it, but it just didn't work for me. I also didn't like that the one MMC was not really ok with the poly situation and got thrown in the deep end with no real conversation beforehand and wasn't given a ton of grace to learn and come to terms with it. It just felt forced.

Also when they're finally all together and the two MMC tell the third "we missed you, it wasn't the same without you." Dude they had one group convo at a bar and then one time of group sex and that was like it. Nothing else was shown on paper of anything that happened. I think technically time went by before the "breakup" but it wasn't really specified and it didn't explain how much time they actually spent together so we didn't know. It just felt weird.

All in all. This series and the author aren't for me. The characters and relationships aren't developed enough for me and I don't like the way the authors portrays the group dynamics.

4.5⭐️ Holy hell, this book!

Let me first say I’ve only really read two other “why choose” romances — and this one blows those out of the water in terms of heat (like, my Kindle is melted 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) and depth of the love story.

Emma did an incredible job crafting the story around Luna, Alexei, Cam and Owen. Each had a vivid story of their own — and their growing relationships, including all of the fears, complexities and excitement that comes with each. Their love JUMPED off the page. Truly. It wasn’t just a story about a foursome for smut sake at all. There was real emotion and insane nuance to this book — an ARC i feel really lucky to have been able to read.

I especially loved the development of Cam and Luna’s relationship — and felt myself swooning the most as they learned to love each other so deeply. Having three very different MMCs, each offering Luna a piece of the puzzle she needed to feel complete, was so good — and so clear throughout.

And about that spice…easily one of the hottest books I’ve ever read. And while wrapping your brain around the idea that a polyamorous relationship like this can work and be incredibly loving is probably hard to do for many of us, it was super easy for me, at least, to immerse myself into the reality created for these characters and believe it could work and work amazingly.

🧁 Polyamourous MMFM
🧁 Bi-awakening
🧁 Hockey playing golden retriever boyfriend
🧁 Billionaire grump/tech nerd boyfriend
🧁 Single dad hockey coach boyfriend
🧁 Pure sunshine FMC
🧁 HEA
🧁 Normalization of a unique love story (which I loved)

Highly recommend this book — my first from this author — and can’t wait to read more of her stuff! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

This one definitely made it in my top 5 hockey romances. Plot was just predictable enough to make you love it. The banter and tension between the characters was SO good. And there was just enough spice <3 overall 4/5 stars and would def recommend to any sports romance or why choose readers

Just a copy/paste of my notes while reading:

Too many inconsistencies in this story. It says they always sit in the second row at games, then later it says they always sit three rows up. Her BSF that she always sits by is sad that she hasn't been able to make it to a few games (in her avoiding the men she's into era), then later another character's POV says that she's been to every single game and hasn't missed one. Characters take clothes off only to take them off again a few paragraphs later (the clothes stuff happens more than once). More stuff I can't be bothered to remember.

The one guy is 36 and everyone in the story acts like he's 90 years old and can't use technology and doesn't know what 8 year old modern slang is. Including him! It's irritating. A 36 year old literally grew up with AOL, MySpace, Limewire, the first widely available cell phones, the first tablets, etc. Anyone in that age group knows more about technology than the average person just because of how they grew up when it was all evolving.

Grammar errors, incorrect person noted as speaking a few times, etc.

I know this girl did not just snap at her brother that the two bi characters aren't bi. Straight people think it's cute to think that someone is only gay *for them.* She states that they're only gay for each other because MMC2 is only interested in MMC1 and not other males, so they're not bi. This ties into the MMC1, who is not into women at all and who wouldn't even kiss her during their threesome, suddenly turning bi *for her.* The book keeps saying that he and the other MMC dated a woman together for 6 months, but he doesn't kiss girls. He doesn't fuck them, he doesn't go down on them, and he states in his POV that every time they "share" a woman, what really happens is that MMC2 fucks them while MMC1 fucks MMC2. So....were they really both dating her? Because when they see her randomly, she says she broke up with them because she felt like a third wheel. This makes sense because MMC1 also stated that when they fall asleep with women they're with, it's always with MMC2 in the middle and the woman on the outside. He's very clear that he doesn't tolerate anything else. And MMC1 doesn't acknowledge that their "ex" even broke up with him because he didn't see them as in an actual relationship, he keeps telling MMC2, "when she broke up with you..." It's so confusing because their dynamic is never explained fully, just like most things in this book.

Surface level everything. The most important conversations, like coming out to their friends and family as a polycule, etc. are skipped over completely. They hang out like once as a group before MMC3 dips, but when she takes him back, they're like, "glad you're back, its not the same without you." They all had ONE night together before he left the situation lmao.

First sex scene gave me the ick. I know it gets better because MMC1 decides he wants the FMC too instead of just MMC2, but then the book is trying to sell us on their love when it's just not there. He supposedly wants to marry HER now, when he could marry MMC2, who he's been pining for for years. But even with him thinking of marriage with her, the book still explains his relationship with the FMC as "best friends with benefits" at the very end. Why does he want to marry her? And his relationship with MMC2 was not important to the story after they both established that they loved each other. I don't want to make assumptions, but this definitely reads like the shit you get when non-bi people try to write bi characters.

Grovel sucks. He just basically says sorry I left, but I'm here now. Then the FMC makes a speech about knowing that people aren't perfect and will make mistakes, which sounds about right for someone trying to tell their readers that it's okay for her to just take him back with no idea of whether he'll get cold feet again a few weeks later and blindside her once again outside a bar filled with her friends and family.

Ends on a HFN with talk of marriage to her only (see above for why that pisses me off).

You know when you see those TikToks that are like, “I want two boyfriends, and I want my boyfriends to be boyfriends.” Girlies, this is the book for you. And you even get a bonus third boyfriend in the mix.

Also! Even though this book is technically the fifth in the series, you can read it directly after the first book (Puck One Night Stands). They have slightly overlapping timelines since they’re from different POVs.

💙 Hockey Romance
💙 Why Choose (MMFM)
💙 Bi-Awakening
💙 Sassy FMC
💙 Grumpy / Sunshine
💙 Age Gap / Single Dad
💙 All About Her
💙 HEA

The angst, the spice!! With a grumpy billionaire, a hot hockey player with a heart of gold and a protective, caring single dad, what's not to love about these guys? And these are the guys who are all about Luna. She was the center of their universe and they would do anything for her, give her everything she wanted or needed. Sassy and fiercely independent, confident and driven, Luna knew herself, she knew what she wanted and she went after it. And I loved that about her. And once she learned that it was okay to ask for help and to not have to do everything herself all the time, I loved her even more.

Cameron, the grumpy billionaire nerd, may be my favorite because he was the biggest surprise. Hot and growly, so demanding and controlling, unapologetically bossy, the one who would take charge and do whatever he wanted to. But he turned out to have such a big heart full of emotions and vulnerability. I loved how he and Luna challenged each other and their snarky banter, pushing each other's buttons and boundaries. Their relationship really came a long way.

Alexsei, the hot hockey player, the golden retriever, was such a beautiful ray of sunshine. I loved how he fell first and hard for Luna, how he laid his heart out on the line. But he played hockey with the Chicago Racketeers and Luna's brother, Crew, was one of his teammates. Alexsei was the perfect balance to Cameron, his best friend and roommate who was in love with him. I loved the friendship between these two guys and how it evolved into something more. The MM scenes were among my favorites and full of delicious steam as well. The way Cameron was holding back and the way he finally let go, I loved that so much!

Owen, the older single dad to a teenage boy, was assistant coach to the Racketeers and the team was headed to the championship. Would a relationship interfere with the team? Would it work with Alexsei involved? Owen was the one who was protective and caring, making Luna feel safe and steady, a calming presence. Seemingly shy and a little awkward, he had an unexpected wild side complete with dirty talk that was so much fun to see come out. But my heart broke for him as he tried to feel needed in this foursome.

What else I loved:
🔹️The characters were all free to be themselves and whoever they wanted to be. I loved the open, honest communication and increasing trust that developed between them as they learned how to make this relationship work and accept each other for exactly who and what they were.
🔹️I loved the different dynamics between Luna and each guy, different connections and different chemistry, each of them giving her something unique. And the ways the guys interacted with each other, both one on one and together with Luna was so interesting to watch.

What I didn't:
🔹️The endless thoughts and conflicted feelings these characters had often became exhausting and simply too much. Consequently, the book felt entirely too long and I think I would have enjoyed it more if it felt less dragged out.
🔹️The spicy scenes sometimes felt instructional in nature with too much direction and a little forced and unnatural. I just wanted everyone to let go and let things happen naturally and organically and see where that took them.
🔹️The conflict was surprisingly nonexistent with Luna's brother and too easily resolved with Owen being Alexsei's coach. The only significant conflict seemed to be Owen trying to envision a future different than the one he had planned and even that could have been developed a little more.

Overall, Icing It is a fun mix of sweet and steamy and would be perfect for those who love a spicy why choose hockey romance with a girl at the center of it all who gets everything she could ever want and need. I haven't read the previous books and it's not necessary but now I'd love to see how Dani's story came to be.

I am def becoming a Emma Foxx fan. They write some of the hottest spice and I am here for it. This was such a fun read and I cannot wait to read more from this duo.

This story follows Luna, Cameron, Alexsi, and Owen. Luna is very strong willed independent baker but has felt like she has been living in her brother Crew’s shadow for years Dani, Luna’s best friend is also in a loving polyamorous relationship with Crew and two other men and Luna decides she is searching for something similar but only for one night. This story starts off spicy from the jump when she goes home with Cam and Alexsi. Once these men have a taste they know it will never be enough. Then she meets Owen…the single dad and he gets thrown into the mix. All of these men have one thing in common and it’s an infatuation, desire and love for the same fiesty, brilliant, independent baker Luna.

Wowwy WOW! This book!! The spice was spicing. It has all the spice, kinks thrown in there…and the men. Cameron, the grumpy billionaire nerd, Alexsi, the hot golden retriever hockey player and Owen , the single dad, assistant coach. I was literally fanning myself during some of these spice scenes with all 4 of them…
I loved the different dynamics between each of them with each other and Luna. They each gave her something unique. I couldn’t tell you who my fave was bc they all had their moments that made me swoon!!
And excuse me…the Cam and Alexsi action….I needed more of that honestly.

This is such a fun mix of sweet and spicy and is perfect for those that love why choose romances. Thank you to Emma Foxx and GoodGirls PR for the eARC. I cannot wait to read more.

😍

I loved this book so much!!! This was my first Emma Foxx book and I'm hooked I enjoyed her writing so much!

"Cam called her a unicorn. Absolutely accurate. And she's not just their unicorn. She's mine, too."

Luna and her three guys were so loveable. I loved every single one of these four! They were all so different, but fit perfectly together.

Cam was grumpy and bossy, but so protective and sweet! I enjoyed the playful banter between him and Luna so much!

Owen was the Dad of the group! He loved taking care of everyone and being wanted. Him realizing how much he needed Luna and the other guys 😭

Alexsei was the playful golden retriever. He was so adorable. When him and Cam confessed how much they were in love with each other I MELTED!!!

All three of these men worshipped Luna right away! The way they talked about her being exactly what they needed 🥰

I can't wait to read more books from this series!

Thanks to the author and publisher for sending me the arc in exchange for a review. I was so happy to receive the email.

Tropes : why choose, polyamory, lgbqtia+, grumpy/sunshine, romance, sport (hockey)

This book focuses on Luna, Crew’s sister, and her new partners. She’s searching for a foursome relationship like her BFF, and she found it easily.
The book starts right off the hook, which was really surprising for me, I didn’t feel chemistry right at the beginning but it evolves through the story. Indeed, we discover the characters in their own way :
* Luna : knows what she wants, and is stubborn
* Cam : grumpy but we know that he is a papa bear with the people he loves
* Alexsei : sunshine and fun, he is not afraid to show how he cares
* Owen : cute but also sexy

They are really cute. But I have to say, that I prefer Dani’s story as there are already 3 books on their story, there is more development and description of their evolution as partners. I would have loved to see Luna and Dani together as they are best friends, especially when she is struggling her relationships. There was lots of time skipping too, but it’s understandable and preferable this way as it’s only one book.

In the end, the dynamics are really well thought and written, I didn’t feel that there was favouritism or someone left out. It was a really nice and cute reading, it got me out of my reading block. I loved that it was slightly different from Dani & her men in terms of type of relation between the guys ; the fact that Cam and Alexsei shares something made me really swoon. I cannot wait to read more of them even though the next book with Dani.

Very entertaining

This is the "continuation" from Dani's book, IMO, as Luna was searching for her HEA at the end of Puck one night stands.

I enjoyed seeing Alexsei and Cam find their happiness with Luna, and finally admit their feelings for each other! Owen is the 'golden retriever' that this group was missing, and I was thrilled when he finally figured it out.

The relationships between characters are easy to enjoy and the steamy chemistry and connections were very entertaining. This has MFMM and lots of focus on what is best for Luna, and the pages turned themselves.

i say it every time i read a why choose book so obvi i’m gonna say it again now: a girl deserves to have as many boyfriends as she wants!!! luna wanted 3 and she deserved 3

this was a fun book!! i enjoyed luna, cam, alexsei, and owen’s dynamic. open & honest communication played such a big part in making their relationship work and i really loved that <3

my only issue with this was that i think it could’ve been a bit shorter, but other than that i really enjoyed everything about it!

HOT!!

ARC review - all thoughts and opinions are my own!

It's Luna's turn for some loving and BOY does she get it! I loved seeing how Luna first got involved with Cam, Alexsei, and Owen and I liked that it was a slightly different way of getting the group all together than Dani's story. I also really enjoyed the conversations all the characters had with each other about their relationship as a whole and how to join all together in a way that helps everyone feel represented and seen in the relationship.

Now, what everyone is wondering about - the spice. This one is SPICYYY! It's MMFM so two of the male characters do have some fun themselves (no spoilers!) We've got your bossy dirty talking billionaire, the sweet but spicy hockey player, and the hot older single dad. The perfect trifecta for some spicy fun!

Overall, I really enjoyed this addition to the Chicago Racketeers universe!

⛸️Why Choose?
⛸️ RH
⛸️Hockey Romance
⛸️Grumpy/Sunshine

Likes: I love a good sports romance. The characters were all solid and fit the vibe of eachother. The story flowed easily (good/bad because there wasn’t much conflict). It was a fun read and I always love when the ball (or puck because hockey reference?) is in the ladies court (or rink?)

Dislikes:
- sometimes the smexy scenes were too much
- I’m not sure which came first, but I read Pucking Around first and there were similarities with the characters that had me comparing them alot- a golden retriever boy, a fun girl, a strong and grumpy (non athlete) that preferred to have his own space still and was bestfriends with the golden retriever.

"Well that's easy, I like you calling me yours."

I loved this book! What a fun read! Luna is a strong independent woman who runs her own bakery. Her brother, Crew, is a hockey player and she's always lived in his shadows. But, then her life changes when Cameron approaches her about a no strings attached night with him and his best friend, Alexsei. Oh and let's not forget about the hockey coach, Owen, who also is interested in Luna. Let's just say these men learn to excel at teamwork. IYKYK.

"She loves being the center of our attention. And now she's got three of us. This is her fantasy."

"Tonight is all about you."

This book was steamy AF. And the spice started early in the book. And there is actually a plot here. It's not just completely all steamy scenes. This is my first book by this author and I am definitely a fan. I will definitely be checking out more of their work in the future.

Let me begin by stating that this was not a book that I personally found enjoyable. I just couldn't get into this one.

Throughout the entire book, she only had a little time with every character, so everything felt extremely instantly love. Then, it was frequently brought up in the very start that she has too much on her plate and does not have time. And in the end, we don't really see any work and she is only in three poly relationships and has all of the time to spend with them all.

Cameron and Alexei, in my opinion, should to have kept a relationship separate from Luna and Owen.

Thank you Good Girls PR and Emma Fox for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review

Thank you to the author and publisher for sending me the arc in exchange for my review. I was thrilled to dive into this read.

We start this book with our main girl Luna, a business owning baker who is strong willed, independent, and goes after what she wants. Luna has felt like she has been living in her brother Crew’s shadow for years, he’s a rookie hockey player on the Rackeeters, and her parents always sacrificed for him while Luna got the short end of the stick. Dani, Luna’s best friend is also in a loving polyamorous relationship with Crew and two other men. Luna is searching for something similar but only for one night, so she thinks.

Enter Cam, who’s sat behind Luna every game of the season and knows how she ticks. He also knows Alexsei is obsessed with this girl, and he just wants his best friend to be happy. Cam makes it his mission to bring Luna home for them…to share. Cam is our grumpy alpha dom, but underneath all that he’s just a big teddy bear with a tendency to spank.

Once Alexsei finds out Cam has secured Luna for the evening, he’s over the moon. Alexsei is the biggest Cinnamon Roll, he is sunshine, laughter and optimism. Sharing with his best friend and roommate is one of his favorite past times but there is something different about this girly. She’s sassy, fierce and gorgeous. Once he gets a taste, he knows he can never give her up. But Luna wanted one night only, she doesn’t have time for anything serious.

Or so she thinks… enter Owen. Owen is the assistant hockey coach, single dad, golden retriever with a dirty mouth. He’s just as mesmerized by Luna as Cam & Alexsei. There’s something about this independent, talented, feisty baker that he can’t quite put a finger on but he wants to take her out and be enough for her. To ease her troubles and be the one she leans on, but he doesn’t know she needs more than him. She’s needs all 3 of them to ground her and keep her whole.

All of these men have one thing in common and it’s an infatuation, desire and love for the same fiesty, brilliant, independent baker Luna. Can they come together and make it work for her?

This book has all the spice, kinks thrown in, and an excellent blend of characters that just work. There were a couple twists I did not see coming, there were moments of hilarity, sincerity, and bliss. The characters grow and develop in a way that makes the story come together.

Luna: independent to a fault, fierce, sassy, a boss queen
Cam: grumpy billionaire alpha dom, who’s truly just a teddy bear for the ones he loves
Alexsei: sunshine in a person, lover boy, cuddler and ultimate optimist
Owen: dependable, golden retriever with a splash of bossy

If you’re looking for a rom com read that is so hot it’s volcanic than Icing It is the book for you! Wow, Emma Foxx did it again with another fun why choose romance complete with a satisfying HEA. (Although not necessary to enjoy this book, reading the previous Racketeer books would give you some more info on a few supporting characters that pop up here.)

Luna is a woman trying to run and grow her business, but she doesn’t have much of a work/life balance. She works way too hard, doesn’t have much of a life outside of trying to survive and would really like to get to the point where she can actually live. She wasn’t looking for any kind of relationship because who has time for that, but she does envy the relationship satisfaction and peace that Dani, her BFF has with her three boyfriends and their poly relationship. She is stressed beyond belief and that fact doesn’t go unnoticed when she catches the eye of Alexsei, a hot golden retriever hockey player, Cam his bossy billionaire BFF/roommate and Owen a hot single dad with a 12 yr age gap, who just so happens to be the team coach. “You know what’s good for stress relief?” Yup, I’m sure you can imagine how that goes down. 😜

I really enjoyed how the story builds on each character and intertwines the relationships together. You get to see the work it takes to foster a relationship that is meant to go long term even if it started unconventionally. I love how the characters don’t judge one another too harshly for needing to figure themselves out because each one does have some work to do. Yes, there are some understandable frustrations in each character’s journey, but really it comes down to love and what you are willing to do for the ones you care about. You get to see the characters working through their personal issues and hang ups so that each person really gets to discover who they are and what they need to be happy for themselves. Any relationship takes work and that is definitely reflected. Combine all that with fun humor, great dialogue and some very steamy bedroom scenes and you’ve got a great story. Be advised though. This is a spicy book! Like Ghost Pepper hot. If you have delicate sensibilities then this is not the book for you, but if you don’t then I advise settling in for a very enjoyable read. I would love to see more of these characters in the future because I love the banter. Such a fun book!

Icing It was a MMFM, why choose hockey romance.

What you get:
🏒 Why Choose
🎂 Teammate's Sister
🏒 He Falls First
🎂 Bossy Billionaire
🏒 Single Dad
🎂 Matchmaking Kids
🏒 Age gap
🎂 SPICY.

If you are looking for 400 pages of spice- this is it for you. It was a lot of spice, and it was good. Emma Foxx can write a bedroom scene my friends.

She can also write a good group scene (location irrelevant). I liked her writing perspective when the group was all together, it was easy to follow and fun to read. She did a great job giving each character a voice and POV that was unique to them and flowed well with the others. The dynamics she built in 400 pages was impressive and made me want more.

I struggled with time in this book, though. A few times days/weeks/months would pass and it would be a couple pages before this was made known and I got confused a good bit. I had to do a bit of backtracking to get going again. There were also a few fade to black moments that I didn't care for and I felt like I needed them to keep momentum and intrigue. I wanted to be in the room when life moments happened, not just in the bedroom.

Overall, it was a cute story. I liked the characters a lot and the dynamic of the group. I always struggle with believability (two siblings, both in quad-type relationships?) but do enjoy the escape from reality and know its fiction and to enjoy the ride. Emma Foxx definitely helped me escape for a few hours with this book and for that I am grateful.

Thank you so much to Emma Foxx and Good Girls PR for the ARC of this book!

I was really looking forward to Luna's story when she was first introduced at Dani's best friend in Puck One Night Stands.

I absolutely adored Luna. I always like a sassy FMC with a soft side and that is exactly what Luna is. She's also extremely independent, not by choice, so she has a hard time when it comes to dating.

Then 3 men crash into her life. First there's Alexsei, the cinnamon roll hockey player who is obsessed with Luna. Then there's his best friend, Cam, a grumpy billionaire tech guy, who is actually in love with his best friend. And finally, there's Owen, the assistant coach of the Rackateers and the "dad" of the team.

Each man ends up playing an important part in Luna's life. But how this one differs from Dani's story, is that Alexsei and Cam eventually explore their relationship. Cam and Luna's relationship also goes from cold to hot. It takes a bit longer for Cam to warm up to Luna as she is not his usual 'type'. Then there's Owen. He's a bit older (30s) and has a teenage son. He struggles the most as he always had a picture of what his life would look like, and it was definitely not a foursome.

I felt this story was a lot more fun and light hearted than Dani's. There is definitely still some tension and struggles but I felt myself relaxing and just getting lost Luna's story, which is exactly what I wanted.
