About the author

Cinzia Giorgio was born in Venosa in 1975. She has degrees in Literature and Modern Languages, with specialisations in Women’s Studies and History, and has also studied abroad. In 2002 she won a scholarship for research on art history from the Bellonci Foundation, organizer of the famous Strega Prize for literature. She has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature. She lives in Rome and writes articles on history and art for specialized publications. She writes essays, novels, plays and reviews; organises salon littéraire and is the Editor-in-Chief of Pink Magazine Italia (www.pinkmagitalia.com) and she also writes about fashion for several fashion blogs. The most important publishing houses in Italy (www.newtoncompton.com and www.rcs.it) have published several of her essays and novels on history and art history, and in particular books about Mary Magdalene. She also does lectures around Europe on Mary Magdalene and the Sacred Feminine.

Storia autentica, che viene raccontata con scrittura scorrevole e appassionata.
Non la solita biografia ma la vita della ViceRegina d'Italia, dall'infanzia alle tragedie familiari, dagli amori alle delusioni all'odio.
Grazie a questo libro ora conosco meglio la vita di Matilde, ma anche la storia medioevale del suo impero cioè della mia terra.
