Warms the heart! All three children enjoyed very much.

This was a beloved picture book that I had had as a child. I found it on Amazon. As it says on the cover, it has "All the charm of Johanna Spyri's beloved story of Heidi's childhood...preserved in this new picture_story adaptation.." The "new" being 1946. I found it amazing that it was said to be for ages 5 to 9, as I don't know if most children that age today would have the attention span, even with the glorious illustrations by Erika Weihs, to have it read to them, much less read it alone. I found that even 60 years later, I still have the 60+page book nearly memorized. Tears still sprang to my eyes at Heidi's reunion with the Alm-Uncle and Grandmother, and I was still transported to the beautiful Swiss Alps, as much by the joy of Heidi, as the illustrations. Get this book and read it aloud to a child you truly love.

Eszembe nem jutott volna elolvasni a könyvet, de csak mert nem ilyeneket szoktam olvasni. Viszont mikre nem jók a különféle kihívások, ugye? :D Az bebizonyosodott, hogy tényleg nem ilyen történetekre vágyom már, de egyáltalán nem bánom, hogy elolvastam. A Pesti Szalon mesélő füzeteiben Heidi is helyet kapott, bár egy igencsak lerövidített verzióban, így nem volt teljesen ismeretlen számomra, mi várható itt. Mégis más volt részletesebben kifejtve olvasni erről a kicsike lányról, akit még látja mindenben a jót és ilyen kedves ártatlan. Végig az említett mesélő füzet képei lebegtek a szemem előtt, hiába nem volt a kedvencem, azok a „mesék” a mai napi élénken élnek bennem. Gyerekkönyv létére én picit túl borongósnak éreztem az egész légkört, ami nem feltétlenül gond, csak magamtól biztos vidámabbat választanék. A történet alakulása viszont aranyos, tanulságos, jóra nevel.
