The thrilling sequel to the former Kindle Daily Deal and USA TODAY bestselling novel SARA'S GAME...
*** *** ***
This is no game.
Eighteen months after Sara’s terrifying encounter with a demented kidnapper, life has finally returned to normal. Almost. Her memories of the game still haunt her dreams, and every day society appears to go a little bit crazier. Terrorist attacks are on television all the time, it seems, and ordinary people — people just like her — are dying.
All she wants is to live a safe, quiet life with her children.
On a damp fall morning, however, Sara receives news that's both chilling and unthinkable, plunging her family headlong into another terrifying world of fear.
Ernie Lindsey grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia, working on the family farm and reading, and has spent his life telling stories to anyone that will listen. He currently works as a freelance writer and is the author of five Mystery & Suspense novels and numerous short stories. When he's not writing, you can find him tackling the gigantic To Be Read list on his Kindle or the never-ending stack of books in his office.
Ernie and his family live in Oregon, along with a multi-fingered Hemingway cat named Luna.

Sara's Past is book 2 in the Sara Winthrop series. I really liked the first book Sara's Game but thought that perhaps number 2 wouldn't quite live up to the first book and be able to hold the same suspense and thrilling action. I was glad to be proved wrong!
Sara's Past was just as thrilling as Sara's Game and brought a whole array of new villains into play. Even characters such as Teddy Rutherford were made to be liked in this second installment! No kidnappers this time but the story was still gripping with a whole new clan of anti-gaming terrorists operating right in Sara's home town of Portland!
I will definitely be reading more from Ernie Lindsey after the Sara series.
In the second book of the trilogy, Sara's life is in danger again. Have you ever done something when you were young and stupid that came back to haunt you? "Eighteen months after Sara's terrifying encounter with a demented kidnapper, life has finally returned to normal. Almost. Her memories of the game still haunt her dreams, and every day society appears to go a little bit crazier. Around the world, from London to Rio to Moscow, a small terrorist group known as The Clan eliminates targets one by one. Are they really connected in some way, as the media claims, or is it simply coincidence? All Sara wants is to live a safe, quiet life with her children. On a damp, fall morning, however, she receives chilling news from Detective Emerson Barker that's both alarming and unthinkable, plunging her weary family headlong into another desperate fight for survival." I had my doubts when I picked this book up. Sara's Game was amazing with the plot and twists. I thought maybe this one wouldn't live up to it. Was I wrong on every page. I devoured this book. It kept me on the edge of my sit. It turned an unlovable character into lovable one. And you keep rooting for all the good guys.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed reading Sara's Past. I found myself sitting at the edge of my seat waiting to see how the characters were going go get out of their predicament. This was well written and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Quick and easy read, but some of the subject material just made me a little uncomfortable. The book wasn't *bad*, but there were parts that had me physically cringing (i.e., what happened to teenage Patty, her advances towards Quirk, etc.) I'll finish the series out, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Poor Sara doesn't seem like she can catch a break. Fast paced wild plot with twists and turns that will make your head spin. Loved it can't wait to read the next one
So glad I discovered Ernie Lindsey. His writing style covers all the bases. His stories are plausible, the plot rich and fast paced. The characters are well drawn and real as life. Now on to book 3 in this series.
Does not disappoint. I like the characters more and more and some of the twists, turns and endings I don’t see coming. I have an idea of how Sara’s Fear will play out but let’s just read it and see!
There’s a part in this book where I went “heck no”! It made me want to put it down but I kept reading and am glad I did. Good story. 3rd book looks like it may wrap up some “loose” ends.
Sara's Past was not as good as book one in this trilogy. This edition so a little far fetched and had less of a psychological under tone and more of a terrorist vibe. What if lacked in psychological factors was made up in the body count.
This story was a nice fast roller coasters ride of tension and suspense. I loved that Teddy had been working on his self and was so loyal. Great ending.
I liked the first book so much better. With this book there were so many characters with alter egos, and I just couldn’t get into the plot....but did finish & hope for better in the third book in the series.
I enjoyed the story. I was hesitant to read it because I didn't know what more the author could add, but I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the suspense. Kept my interest all the way. Will have to read the next book to see what happens.
These books are great! Fast paced suspense with characters that you care about. No long, drawn out chapters on background and can easily be read in one day. Look forward to finishing the series.
Definitely not as good as the first book, but it’s not an awful book. Less thrilling, less suspense but I feel like it was a builder book for the author to ‘finish’ the story in the 3rd book.
Fantastic book with a great twist. If you like thrillers, this is the book you should be reading. Several plots so you got to pay attention. I recommend this book if you like a good thriller
