Weather Wits and Science Snickers

Rate this book
See how “roll-your-eyes” corny jokes and cartoons break the ice and get elementary-age (8 to 12 years) children into a discovery mood! A short 2-4 paragraph description follows each full-color illustration that explains the science within the silliness. There’s dozens of Web links to bolster the teaching benefit and allow those interested to learn more, and some really neat “real” photos too. Kids can laugh, learn, and like science all at the same time.
Parents and children alike will enjoy the funny color illustrations and upbeat mood of the humor as they read along with their kids. . The book covers a wide range of topics, from cold fronts and tornadoes, to the planet Jupiter and even vacuum cleaners on the moon!
“Weather Wits & Science Snickers” book is written by a 5-time award winning meteorologist with 27 years broadcast experience.

Great facts that are easy to understand!

What a cute and educational book. Many facts mixed with some humor made reading this book enjoyable and not like I was sitting in science class. This book is great for any student who is having a difficult time in science class. It teaches you while giving examples that are easy to understand for people who "just don't get it," like me. I learned some great new facts today and I hope this author puts more of these books out. They could really help a lot of students pass that science class!
