So refreshing to read a novel in regular conversation verbatim. Multiple thread intertwined format worked like a thriller. In few instances jumped some chapters for curiosity. There were many thought provoking moments. In first reading, I felt liberating or drain the thoughts I have been holding w.r.t women riding on men. One affirmation I took for myself while reading was not to encourage women's thought of riding on men. Because these days, women talk about equality etc. But when it comes to responsibilities, decisions, research etc - they don't (Being single mom child, I do have seen women taking responsibilities. But the majority isn't like that) ... Have bookmarked some pages to give re-read and ponder upon.
i always have a question, when people go to walmart and let the lady carry the basket or car, others (relatives, friends, families) label that guy/husband as not a gentlemen. it is an unnecessary nail. the question is discussed indirectly in different forms.
I appreciate the author for sticking to his philosophy of treating punda and yoni equally. no word is inferior. It is more of an elite mindset to disregard some words. even if we say dirty mouth as oothapallu, people think it is a bad word. we have to constantly battle this elite mindset. we need to normalize the so called wrongly labelled bad words.
All men and women should read it.
