I'm really enjoying this opening story arc - nostalgia from my childhood with an infusion of fresh storytelling and artwork. I'm also really enjoying the comic experience within the Kindle app, the layout and transitions are superb.
Good setup story. When I heard they are bringing back GI Joe and doing a soft reboot, I thought they were going to change the backstory. To my surprise they didn't and kept Stalker, Snake Eyes as seeing action back in (presumably since the previous continuity had it as ) Vietnam. That war ended nearly 50 years ago, but the characters look like they are in their early 30s. Other comics typical retcon events to make their characters more relevant and relatable. Not a show stopper by any means, I'm just a little surprised they are running with that. Anyways, can't wait to read the next issue.
Such a strange contrast, you have an honor guard funeral at Arlington on one page and zombies on the page before it. I hope the zombies get wiped out quickly so this title can get back to a more military style.
A little late on #302 as I got a 2nd printing. But loved the art, the story, and the characters! Got 1st print versions of #303 & #304. Plus all future. Issues. I had one of the first G.I. Joe action figures back in 1964. We go way back.
Fun story and fantastic art. I’ve been a GI Joe fan since the 80s. Just jumping into the comics after several decades and I feel like I have not missed a beat.
Good color artwork. The Mutant Cannibalistic Virus has been released. Serpent Khan is leading a coup against cobra bcommand, this is going to get ugly.
