This is some fucked up incel shit. What the fuck did I read?

This is NOT zombie erotica or horror romance. As someone who reads and loves those books, I regret spending money on this shit. I don’t trust anyone that rates this above 1 star. Those people severely worry me.

If I could rate this zero stars, I would. Basically this is highly misogynistic and problematic splatter horror by someone who writes like a cis white man incel.

Every single woman in this book is a virgin and is raped, pillaged, objectified, or turned into a baby making factory FOR the men in this book. All the men get off on their pain.

Every. Single. Character. was fucked in the head. A serial rapist with sickening fat phobia whose first scene is to frot on the fat folds of the dead? A hymen and uterus that regenerates for the rapist to impregnate her multiple times? Ah yes, from the trigger warnings, that aren’t available in the book itself, I expected the rape but the whole book itself was fucked up. NOT A SINGLE redeemable page in this book.

Even Caleb and Sarah, whose story I was most interested in, basically said they were totally down for paedophilia and grooming her when she was 14.

From “With your cherry, I thee wed” to “Abracadabra. Tickle my cock, bitch,” the only thing horrifying about my reading experience is realizing an actual living person could even THINK to write this or read this mess and declare it 5 stars.

Title: Satiate
Author: M.A. Cobb
Genre: Romantic Horror
Type: Standalone
POV: First Person - Multiple
Rating:
4.25 stars

As a mutated virus swept across the nation, four individuals must adapt to survive their rapidly changing world. But the real danger wasn’t just the infection; it was surviving each other.

Well, this one was quite a wild ride. I jumped in thinking it’d be a dark, scary horror read, but it turned out to be quite disgusting (in a good way) and amusing.

“Do you think we’ll ever have a normal life again?” I can’t help but voice the fear that lingers under my every thought. The idea of living like this forever is, well, daunting. Terrifying.”

Having Caleb, Sarah, Jessica, and Peter as the main characters might seem overwhelming, but they each brought different aspects to the story. Each of them was a monster in different ways. Some were just trying to survive, while others saw it as an opportunity. The romance and sexy scenes were adequate, but I didn’t mind that.

Satiate is a story of self-preservation and reinvention. It would appeal to readers who enjoy lighthearted horror romance in an apocalyptic setting.

Them: Make the zombie apocalypse kinky
M.A. Cobb: Hold my beer.

I love zombie apocalypse stories, so when I heard that M.A Cobb wrote an erotic horror zombie apocalypse book, I needed to know more and I'm SO glad I did.

M.A. Cobb kept me guessing every step of the way through this. I thought I knew what was going to happen to certain characters, nope, I was wrong.

This story is so interesting, and horrific. I can't eat ricotta cheese ever again, so there's that.

The book is fast paced, the characters are interesting, the plague is believable. The body horror is on point, and the kinks are dark and troubling.

This book is best read while camping deep in the wilderness with your brother's best friend.

Holy balls, MA did the damn thing with this one. She made a post apocalyptic and gory world hilarious and erotic. There were moments I was simultaneously disgusted but also asked myself “is this hot?” And the answer was always yes. There is an unconventional HEA, moments where I felt sympathy and even humor for these dark characters and moments where I rooted for the villainous & twisty. I will be the first to say that Jessica got what she deserved.

This book gives us 4 POV with very different characters: Caleb, Jessica, Peter, and Sarah. While Levi does not have his own POV we get glimpses of him through the eyes of a few of these characters. We start with Caleb, HOT AF Protective MMC, who works with dangerous vaccines and discovers the absolute worst has happened. One of their creations has been released and the darkest of times are upon them. He does what any cinnamon roll would do and calls up his bestie, Levi, so they can wait this out in a secluded cabin, what could go wrong, am I right? If the tension between him and Sarah doesn’t kill him, being around Jessica sure will. “I just need to get my cock in her and show her how good it can be”

Levi’s wife, Jessica, is the very definition of vapid, shallow, and gold digging. Her POV gives us an insight into how conniving, vindictive, manipulative she is. She is such a bitch. I absolutely loathed her character and was screaming for them to release her to the damn infected already. She reminds me if Meredith from the parent trap was 25 and an influencer. I never wanted to fight a character more. Sometimes brats need to be broken. “A good brat is beaten, fucked, and left for dead.”

Sarah, Levi’s sister & Caleb’s fixation, has held on to a grudge for a decade. Her and Levi are super close siblings so when he calls her to go to the cabin urgently no questions asked she shows up. Of course when she finds out the reason for showing up was because of Caleb, she is less than thrilled. She can’t help herself though, being in his orbit is stirring up those feelings she had for him, making her crave him. The angsty burn & build between these two is EVERYTHING. “I do what any gentleman would in my position... I prop her up with my cock.” Once they give into the burn, it’s all consuming. They are forever intertwined.

Finally, we get Peter, I fucking love him. Think of if you merged the Joker with Negan from TWD, just pure fucking chaos, mayhem, and eroticism. Peter was a convict when he gets bitten and finds himself in a hospital bed, he does what an sociopathic ripper-esque killer would do… he escapes. He discovers the chaos the world is in and uses that to his advantage. He takes, he kills, he fucks and crowns himself king. “I am gourmet. Top tier. The apex.” His dark humor drives me and you can’t help but fucking love him.

It’s fitting that this book is based on the sin of gluttony, because I ate it up, I licked the plate clean, and then I asked for seconds. This book is PITCH BLACK, it is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re a fan of horror, dark romance, gore and pushing boundaries then darling let’s take a wild ride together. All I kept thinking was if Beetlejuice, Evil Dead & The Walking Dead had a baby IT WOULD BE THIS BOOK!

When a new and incurable virus spreads through society, the rules change and those who are willing to adapt have the greatest chance of survival.

“Clinging to the old rules will jeopardize their chances to survive when it becomes everyone for themselves.”

Narrated in multiple POV, this storyline is intriguing and each character experience the effects of this virus differently. Being pushed to unprecedented limits, certain behaviors rise to the surface, and the unexpected often occurs. Throughout, I was drawn to Caleb. Peter was true to his character and he provided villainous dimension to the story. Jessica proved to be quite the influencer and Sarah’s appetite was insatiable.

This book would appeal to those seeking a post-apocalyptic horror story with a side of romance.

Please check the trigger warnings. This is a dark horror romance set in a zombie apocalypse. It will cover topics that will (or maybe not, depends on who you are) make you uncomfortable.

M.A. Cobb has yet to write anything that hasn't held me entranced from start to finish. I first found this author during one of my searches for post apocalyptic romance and I stumbled on The Sunburst Trilogy. Later I found out about this book being written on Instagram with chapters being posted the author's patreon, and because I am a lover of the genre I signed up immediately. I followed the updates for the chapters up until about chapter 8 when I fell behind due to life circumstances. I decided to at that point to wait until the book was done before finishing the book. In some ways I am glad I did, I am not sure if I could have been patient enough to wait for some of those chapters.

There is such an interesting group of characters in this book, all of them are very different. As always you get to see the influences of a post apocalyptic society and how it changes people (or how a few stay exactly the same). Some for the better, others not so much. There is definitely some twisted and unhinged things that happen in this story. I really did have fears that this was going to end in a tragedy or just take a complete left turn and not end in how I was hoping, but thankfully I still loved how it all turned out. I think some of the best authors are those that can push you past your comfort zone with their stories.

If you like horror, zombie apocalypses, with some spicy romance then give this a read, but I caution you to again READ the trigger warnings.

This is a zombie apocalypse love romance novel. This is not the normal romance love I’ve read but it’s so did but good at the same time. I liked how we had so many different main characters in the book and we seen each pov of them. It’s gory but also hot at the same time. And at the end it has a happy ever after sort of.

This novella was absolutely amazing!!!!! This is a Horror romance but for sure has some splatter punk elements in it and I'm not mad about it one bit!

This novella is in multiple POVS (5 to be exact), and honestly, I wasn't confused or felt like I was all over the place with having different stories being told by multiple people. It just worked so well with each other.

Caleb, who is a scientist has run into a big problem. For 6 months, an appetite inducer designed for cancer patients with accelerated healing properties have been out in the world. What does this mean? It means they just infected then with an enhanced form of rabies. Caleb calls on his life long best friend Levi to head to the cabin in the woods that they always planned to do if something went wrong.

Levi is a doctor who's married to a pretentious self-absorbed spoiled brat named Jessica, who would rather be in Beverly Hills with her rich friends and posting on her socials about her lavish life, than be heading off into the woods with her husband and whoever he's decided to invite. She becomes a huge problem in the novella. I can't stand her!!!!

Sarah is a schoolteacher, Levis sister, and also the woman who's had the biggest crush on her brother's best friend since he was younger. When she receives the call from Levi to head to the cabin, she heads home to pack, where she sees things start to get weird around her. When she arrives at the cabin, she's in for a big surprise, because her crush is bunking up with them.

And then we have Peter. He's a murderer who loves hoes lol. He's bitten and when he awakens after passing out, he's in a facility and all healed. He ends up escaping and realizes he's kind of untouchable and decides he's the king of the world.

The novella is gruesome and has some pretty gag worthy elements. It's all spicy and the smut is smutting....some of the smut is also gag worthy lol. I love the character development between Caleb and Sarah, and I love how much love Caleb had for her, and how he literally stuck by her side, even when she was trying to.....well you'll have to read to find out.

Amazing novella and I can't wait to read more from this author. Definitely recommend this novella. Please check TWs before reading!

I think M.A. Cobb might be my new favorite author.

This book follows 4 main characters: Caleb, Sarah, Peter, and Jessica. Normally I’m not a fan of that many POVs but I found these very easy to follow and also interesting to see their POVs.

Caleb works for a research lab that has a mishap in the medications that were being sent out to help people. Knowing this and speculating the timeline of how the virus will progress he warns his closest friends to get out of LA.

Sarah has been holding a grudge against Caleb since she was a teenager. When she finds out he’s the cause of the virus she has to choose to let the grudge go or go wild card and strike out on her own.

Levi has been best friends with Caleb since they were kids. And because of Caleb’s early warning Levi is able to flee the city with his wife. Being in constant close proximity to his wife, he realizes he no longer can stand Jessica. He has to overcome his own martial issues and find a way out.

Jessica is in denial that anything is happening in the real world and her husband is just overreacting. She complains about having to be in the wilderness (a nice cabin) like poor people. But just when she thinks she finds her freedom things take a turn for the worse(?) for her.

Peter is an inmate who happens to escape in the chaos of the virus spreading. He realizes this is his opportunity to become the king he always felt he was. He forms a group of survivors and leads them to safety. He uses his diplomatic skills to bargain with the government in helping them find a cure.

Oddly enough I liked this book? 😂
It kept me entertained throughout the entire story and I could not put it down.
Definitely check the TWs babes. Cause phew…some of the stuff had me clutching pearls and gagging.

But I definitely enjoyed this. Don’t worry, I’m seeking help.

This book is essentially... Zombie smut.

CALM DOWN! IT'S NOT WHAT YOU'RE THINKING!! (okay atleast half of it is not what you're thinking lol the other half... well, it's probably what you're thinking).

But you have to understand, Cobb's stories usually include four main characters, two of which have a lighter storyline and two of which can only be described as dark and depraved? Unhinged? Deranged? DEMENTED? And then the two seperate paths of these character pairs usually cross over or are linked somehow.

I loved the main plot of this book, it made me feel as if I were watching a real "virus turns 90% of population into zombies and now we need to survive" movie and I love those! I loved Sarah and Caleb's story, they were the "good" ones. There was so much emotion in their characters and struggles they had to face together and overcome. Now this is Zombie smut so yes, crazy sh*t happened to them too but I don't want to spoil anything. And the spicy scenes were so good here, just btw *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

Then comes Peter. Oh. My. Word. He is a sick bastard. He is the part of the story that is truly dark and it's probably not in a good way but I was invested nonetheless. He is a total psycho and when he meets Jessica, well... things just get worse. She deserved it though (I probably shouldn't say that but it's true, she did 😂). There were parts in his story that were so shocking I didn't know if I should cry or laugh (I laughed mostly cz like, WHAT?).

Overall, M.A. Cobb writes really short books that are easy to read, absolutely disturbing and thoroughly entertaining and THAT is why I will remain a permanent ARC member. Because who doesn't need a little refreshing crazy in their life?

Want to be traumatized, but in a good way? This is the book for you.

Seriously, read your trigger warnings.
No, please, I beg you, read those trigger warnings!!!!
This book is dark, morally grey and just all around f'd up.
It was brilliant!

I was not expecting that ending and was literally in so much shock with how it ended.
This review has taken a long time for me to write because I am just still processing so much of this book.

This book is in multiple POV's.
Caleb fights to fix his past mistakes, while Sarah struggles with her new future. Peter builds his kingdom, but Jessica wants to rule.

There is a new virus outbreak and these characters all set out on the mission to hide it out and to stay in a family cabin. Things didn't go to plan and everyone has their own personalities that all clash together. Will they get what they desire?

It's smutty, it's dark, it's unhinged.
Read this with a brave heart.

It is not what you expect and you will be left gob smacked.
Trust me!

M.A. Cobb has THE most creative ways at unaliving people. I said that in my review after Nikolai Petrov, I still stand on that hill and will gladly die here.

Go into this book with absolutely no expectations and enjoy the ride!

This was my first ever zombie book and man, I'm pretty sure the bar is forever set.

The world (or end of it) that M.A. managed to create was insane in the best way and I loved that I was constantly switching between laughing, yelling out "wtf", and gagging at some of the scenes.

Come to think of it, Curse of the Mourning Ring was my first ghost story ever too. I guess I can consider M.A. my own little sub genre cherry popper 🤣🤣.

Needless to say, she writes it, I'm reading it. Her writing has a way of sucking you in and enjoying books you weren't ever sure you'd even be interested in and I'll forever be grateful. I can't wait to see what's next on her list!

Pitch-black zombie gorn…and I am here for it all!! I went into this book somewhat blind (literally only knowing the first four words of my review here) and maaaaan….WHAT A RIDE! This book is trigger heavy so if you have any, check them out first. If not, go in blind and enjoy the ride!!! SATIATE started out more “light” and I found myself wondering just where M.A. Cobb was going to take this story. Ahh and boy did M.A. Cobb deliver as the story went on!! This is a spoiler-free review so I cannot give anything away— I will say I loved both the probable “unlikeable” characters more so than the “likeable” ones. But hey— that made SATIATE one excellent ride. Do yourself a favor and get this book. Now. Read it. Add it your shelf. If you love pitch-black spicy romances and zombies… SATIATE is your book!!

I flew through this book. It is pitch black and I like that with a hint of the edge of spatter horror. So, if you like these types of books then you will want to pick up a copy of this one to read.

These zombies through are not the most intelligent ones. In fact, they are more old school but with supernatural healing.

This book is told from four different POVs. There is Caleb is partially responsible for the epidemic. Sarah, who is a love interest of Caleb's. Peter, who wants to ruler the world and appoints himself king. Finally, there is Jessica, who is a prima donna.

Must admit that I despised Peter and Jessica but Jessica more and did not really feel bad for her. My feelings through mean that I was invested in this book as well as the characters. I do need more books from M.A.

🧟‍♂️ Satiate is a fantastic, zombie, smutty, wild ride. Mind blown by the amount of creativity in this book. The level of unhinged depravity is at maximum levels and I’m here for all of it.
🖤 The character development is so detailed you fall hard and fast for most of them. Others, are even too pitch black for me to love (which says a lot) Yet, I find their deep dark levels of immorality, wickedness and perversion captivating and alluring.
🧟‍♂️This is a fast spicy easy read that is incredibly violent gory disturbing and fabulous. M.A.Cobb has a way of writing that I felt like I was dropped right into the middle of the dystopian zombie world. Anxiety at times is spiked from all the suspense and looming danger.
🖤Satiate is a roller coaster of laughter, horror, cringe, and heartfelt romance. Grab some Tums to soothe the possible queasiness from this mind bending read and settle in for the ride. M.A. Cobb is a fantastic story teller and her books are a must read.

I’m so glad I didn’t read this before COVID, I would have been avoiding all vaccinations! 😂

Wow, what can I say?! This book has a bit of everything - why I did take so long to read it? It’s dark, has horror, gore and a bit of romance and spice. What more can a dark lover want?

This book is written from the POV of 4 of characters: Caleb, Jessica, Sarah and Peter. Full of gore and gory, descriptive details that had me imagining all sorts! I love Caleb, he sticks by his girl through it all. Sarah brings all the girl next door vibes. Jessica had me wanting to bitch-slap her so hard that her run in with Levi had me thinking ‘thank god someone put her in her place’. As for Peter … he gave me the ick from the start. I do enjoy when authors create characters that can bring out emotions that help pull you in to the story.

Whew....this book was something else!!!
There's a reason it's "too dark for Amazon."

It was shocking, disgusting, weirdly funny, and I loved every minute of it!
This book is not for the faint of heart! It will make you question your morals and push your boundaries!
There are scenes that will probably make you gag or shock you so much you'll have to walk away!
Even the author said she had to walk away at one point when writing this - it's a lot!!!!
If you want to test your mettle and (like me), you haven't found your limit yet - give this a try!
M.A's books never fail to leave an impression!

This book is dark and disturbing at some parts that I was like WTF did I read, was my thought process for some of it and why was it hot 😂 Please check your triggers before reading!!

This is a post apocalyptic world from a virus and medicine accidentally created. It turns people into hungry mindless creatures. There are some who are immune due to having a vaccine so no matter if they are bitten they heal and do not get sick. This book has 4 POV’s. I absolutely could not stand Jessica and I wish her a one way trip down 🔥. MA did an amazing job that there were many times I questioned my sanity reading and I absolutely love that!

I don’t even know what I say.

I was intrigued by a blurb that the author posted on insta, and let’s just say WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

Do I regret it? No. Was this incredibly fucked up. Yes.

This was gritty, filthy, messed up but so good. My first zombie smut and I really went straight to the deep end.

I really enjoyed the multiple POV’s and they way it all nicely tied in together towards the end.

M.A Cobb blows me away with how different every book is, like opposite ends of the spectrum here. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

This book was yucky. I had to stop and take a break because I was just like wtf 🤔
Deadly virus breaks out and we get the goings-on from four different pov; Caleb a doctor, Sarah a girl that had a crush on Caleb, Jessica who is Sarah' sister in law, and Peter a serial killer.
I suggest going in blind aka not reading the tw to get the full impact. There were some grammatical errors and some scenes didn't make sense in the positions people were in. The ending also felt rushed but what happened to Jessica lol deserved.

PLEASE READ TW PAGE!!!!!!!!!

This was definitely a pitch black horror zombie romance because wtf did I just read?!?!?!! There's romance, there's zombies, and then there's pitch black. It was like a mix of The Last of Us and Walking Dead (I'm assuming cuz I've never seen TWD). It wasn't what I was expecting by a long shot, especially with the snippets that the author posted on SM. Definitely a gagger for real.

This book was so bad. Comically bad. The dialog made me feel like I was reading a POV of someone who has never talked to a human before. The writing style was pathetically bad. The story was way to rushed, and jumped timeliness with no explanation. Also, whatever was going on with Peter, was far from creative. Sounded like someone did a Google search for "gross sexual atrocities" and then tried to make them sound worse. 10/10 would nit read again or recommend

Okay, wow...
This book was insane.
It's dark, disturbing, and some parts disgusting. It is fullllll of triggers, so make sure to check before reading.
This is one of the most creative books I've ever read. The writing is incredible, and the characters are equally lovable and gross.
I would have loved to have seen Peter get k*illed.
Definitely more of an extreme horror/smut/splatterpunk type apocalypse book!

I was not a big fan of this book. Not necessarily the story itself because I liked it. The physical copy had pictures printed on the chapter pages and it made the words on those pages extremely difficult to read so much so that I ended up skipping the 1st pages of the chapter one of the female characters made me want to choke her out.The ending of the book feels rushed like it jumps over a big part of the story on how they get from A to B. I wanted to love it but I couldn’t.

The darkest, vilest, schmexiest book I've read.

This book kept my heart pumping and my stomach churning throughout the book. I was terrified of where the next scene would lead. And I loved it. The spice is SPICY and it's terrifying and gross. If you don't have triggers and are a lover of horror romance, this is your book.

WOW!!
What a dark and crazy read!
Once I started reading I was sucked in! Filled with zombies of course, unaliving, suspense, spicy scenes and much more. There were edge of your seat moments, times when I wanted to laugh and then others that made me cringe. It truly was a roller coaster of all things dark, dirty and a side of delicious!!
I loved it!
