The story isn't terrible but I was very disappointed. The story had potential but I felt like parts were missing and that caused some of the story not to make sense. Noah never tells Eden he likes her when they are growing up and she doesn't realize that he does. I am not even sure if she even liked him. He asks her to dance and she tells him she will be right back she had to help her friend who was having a melt down. He then gets mad at her, leaves and stops talking to her for like two years. He never tells why. Something else happens and he stops talking to her again. This time it is much longer and she has no idea why. Years later Eden runs into him at the coffee shop. She then decides out of the blue to break up with her boyfriend and pursue Noah. Noah just seems immature and arrogant while Eden seems naive and stupid.

Honestly, this is the most poorly edited book that I’ve read in a while. There are clearly phrases and even paragraphs missing along with numerous spelling and punctuation errors. I was disappointed to receive this book in a Reveal Book Box because it was sooooo short, but I am incredibly disappointed that it would even be included given the number of errors throughout. It has so much potential. Incredibly poorly executed.
This book seems to have been published without going through an editing phase. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just a first draft that the author didn’t re-read before sending to print. Typos, errors and even missing dialogue.
The FMC is STUCK in the past. She gives a second chance (honestly more like a 3rd chance) to some dumb fuck boy who broke her heart as a pre teen. But she’s constantly got these thoughts of the past and refuses to address them. Even thought she ended a healthy 2 year relationship to pursue her past after just a single interaction. And all her friends and family were way too gung-ho about that too. And then she wore a prom dress to a wedding - just so the dumb fuck could finally see her in her prom dress. IDK what kind of prom you went to, but none of the dresses I saw would have been wedding appropriate.
It’s not mentioned but I speculate that FMC is likely Autistic or AuDHD
MMC is an asshole kid who turned into a cop. Of fucking course he did. He ghosted her twice as kids, and then still had the audacity to try and crawl back into her life. And it fucking worked.
I’m also not a fan of all the pop culture references in the book. Plus one of the musicians referenced is a racist. So that’s not cool, and leads me to assume the author is too, or doesn’t care others openly use racial slurs like the n word.
