As if getting rescued by a hot, bearded mountain man while I’m knee-deep in mud isn’t bad enough, he also can’t resist giving me smug I told you so looks.

I try to act all casual and cool while he saves me, but that’s hard to do when you’ve got clumps of dirt in your hair and a huge tear in your sweater thanks to an unfortunate run-in with a barb wire fence.

After he lifts me into his strong arms and carries me to safety, I try to forget about him, but I can’t. I’m almost tempted to get lost a second time, just so I can see him again.

Short story. When I say short I mean short! If you like insta love then this story has got it. Not much meat on its bones. Predictable, the summary is basically it. I only finished it because it was so short.

I liked ' Big and Bearded on the Mountain' by Hazel J. North. It was a short story with two people being attracted to each other right away, Emily has come to further her education by observing birds for her bachelor's degree in wildlife biology and has rented a cabin. She goes to the search and rescue offices in town to ask for directions to the cabin and she meets Brody, a giant of a man who takes her breath away. Brody is likewise attracted to her, so he offers to take Emily to her cabin. On the way there he warns her that the snowy weather is coming and that she shouldn't venture out to watch birds until it passes. She meant to take heed of his warning, but she does indeed go out to just look at the birds nearby. She soon follows one and becomes lost when she walks in loose snow and slides downhill in a mudslide. Luckily, Brody thinks to check on Emily when he finishes his shift at work and ends up coming to her rescue. He carries her to her cabin and they bond quickly.

I loved Big & Bearded on the Mountain: Frost Crest: The McAllisters. Shirt and sweet. Emily is in town to watch birds, Brody warns her not to go out in the bad weather but she doesn’t listen. Good thing he can’t stop thinking of her and goes to find her. She had an instant attraction but Emily wasn’t sure he felt that way as her. Thankfully he did and he’s able to save her. Now he just needs to convince her to stay. I loved this storyline and the characters. A cute family series. I would definitely recommend this book.

Welcome back to the McAllisters!! We are finally getting a story of mountain bear Brody.

These two are far from similar, but when you just meet that person....you just know. Brody doesn't knock his sixth sense when it comes to protecting people. In fact, it saves Emily's life!!

I love how they are both shy in different ways but can't help themselves around each other. She might be petite, shy and into birds, but she gets all butterflies around Brody. Its fun to see the side of Brody we got glances of in previous books.

I love how these two come together. Its got that fog up your windows, its gonna be long night vibe, but oh so yummy!!.

A great book and series. This is book 2 of the Frost Crest: The McAllisters. All about Emily and Brody. She is a bird watcher and he told her not to go out because of bad weather and she didn't listen. He was there for her, and the attraction was instant. He fell hard when he rescued her and now, he needs to make her stay with him forever. A great story and you are going to love it too,.

This is a sweet Insta-love story about 30 year old Emily, a student and a mountain rescuer Brody. It's fun, entertaining, gives you all the instalove feels and depicts a heartwarming, inviting and sweet family (brothers and cousins),for more instalove stories to occur.

A great instant attraction book. Emily has gone to Frosty Crest to do research on bird feeding habits in winter for her degree. She meets Brady when she goes to the SAR office to tell them she will be on the mountain for a week and they have a hard time keeping their eyes off each other. Brady takes her to the cabin she is staying in and then saves her when she stupidly goes off after a snow storm and gets lost. This is well-written and a must-read.

Brady and Emily are the insta love stars. Emily goes to the mountains to study birds for her degree. Her boss has allowed her some time away from work to do this but she must inform the Search And Rescue Team that she will be working on her degree in the mountains and where she will be residing. This is where Brody works.

Big & Bearded on the Mountain is cute and sweet. Awkward main character Emily is nerdy brilliant but lacks common sense—like don’t go hiking in the woods right after a snowstorm. Brody is kind and caring, compassionate and intuitive. They have great chemistry, and his drive to protect and care for her is sexy as all get out. This is a quick and dirty joy ride!

Grande e Barbudo Na Montanha

Ah, eu amei tanto esse livro! Amei a Emily e o Brody, e a forma como eles se apaixonaram! Se esse livro tem um defeito, é que ele acaba. Sério, poderia ter mais um capítulo antes do epílogo, pra podermos curtir mais um pouco desse casal mara. Eu amei e super recomendo!

Sweet story

Just the right amount of everything. Big strong man, with a beard. Sweet, but lonely woman, craving a family of her own. Lots of friends and a quant Village to settle down in., and a very Happy ending.

My rating for this one is a 3.5. This is a well written short story with great characters. I enjoyed this one. This is one for that lazy couple of hours or waiting in the carpool line. I would encourage everyone who needs a short read to get this one it is worth your time.

Big & Bearded on the Mountain is part of the Frost Crest: The McAllisters series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, curvy girl gets her mountain man romance. Emily is a 30 year old student studying bird feeding patterns for a few weeks in Frost Creek. Brody is a burly, hunky, Search and Rescue (SAR) mountain man. When Emily goes to the SAR office to advise she will be on the mountain, Brody is taken with her. He warns her to stay put due to the weather and takes her to her cabin. Later, Emily goes out and slips while chasing a bird. She ends up in a mudslide and stuck. Brody finds and saves her. When they get back to her cabin, it gets hot, and S-T-E-A-M-Y!! The chemistry was hot 🔥 and we got a very happy ending. Hazel always delivers a sweet, short, and spicy read. I loved it!.
