Until 2010, Ashe was a director of a regeneration company before deciding there had to be more to life and leaving to pursue a lifetime goal of self-employment.
Ashe has been an avid reader of erotic romance for many years—historical, contemporary, fantasy—you name it. Now, at last in control of her own time and working from her home in rural West Yorkshire, she has been able to realise her dream of writing sexy and compelling stories herself.
She draws on settings and anecdotes from her previous and current experience to lend colour, detail and realism to her plots and characters, but her stories of love, challenge, resilience and compassion are the conjurings of her own imagination. She loves to craft strong, enigmatic men and bright, sassy women to give them a hard time—in every sense of the word.
When she’s not writing, Ashe’s time is monopolised by her role as grandma to a lively toddler. She shares her writing space with a tortoise called Teefer.
Ashe Barker never seems to amaze me with her "Caraksay Brotherhoid" series. The newest book, number 8, entitled 'Savage Revenge' picks up from a previous thread. A kidnapping brings a whole new dimension to this storyline with Kris and Janey. Drama abounds with a few twists and turns and Ethan had to hear something he wasn't prepared for. This was a wonderful read and I hope Baz gets his story next.
A simply wonderful read, complex characters and scenario that keep you riveted This is another simply wonderful addition to this series of book of which I have had the pleasure of reaching each and every one of them and they are all as wonderful as each other, the characters and the scenarios are so brilliantly done they just hold you in their complexity and mystery. Janey had been struggling and she had not thought she was ever going to get a break and then she had a chance to stay in the refuge of Ethan Savages world and for the first time in forever she has felt a little spark of safety and security which was something she’d never take for granted. Unfortunately for Janey Mathison her happiness did not last long when she was suddenly snatched by Kristian Kaminiski who is seeking retribution from the Savages, he intends to ask an extortionate amount of money for her freedom. However, 5.7 Million euros is an awful large amount of money for someone that is no relation, no relative only an employee of sorts she had her doubts as to what their action would be. As Kristian spends time with Janey, he finds that his feelings and his emotions concerning the female are changing and this is blurring his original plans, he finds himself caught between the devil and the deep blue sea and is at a loss what his decision is going to be. He knows that in his life there is no room for blurred lines or indecisiveness and the fact that there were always enemies looking for that moment of weakness, Kristian has never known feelings like the ones Janey brings out in him and she realises that she has actually started to see him in a very different light. I guarantee that you will enjoy this book as much as myself it will keep you hanging to every single word on the page, you will find the complexity of the two strong men in this story Kristian and Ethan will keep you guessing right to the last page, this is a wonderfully addictive read and I guarantee you will love every moment. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the r
Savage Revenge is book 8 in the Caraksay series, but Kris and Janey's story has actually very little to do with either the island or the Savages, so can easily be read as a standalone. Told from both POVs, it is heavier on the BDSM side than the last books, with the romance building from the characters insta-attraction when they meet at a club. What starts as a plan of kidnapping for revenge turns into a kidnapping of their hearts. There is a bit of a suspense side-plot with a touch of violence, but the focus is very much on the romance part. I was a bit surprised by the turn the epilogue took as well as the rather abrupt ending, but I'm guessing we'll get to re-visit with the couple again in the future. An easy-to-read, entertaining addition to the series and I'm looking forward to more. I was fortunate to have received an advanced copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
This is book 8 of the Caraksay Brotherhood, but this can be read as a standalone. There is little to do with the Savages or the island. Kris wants revenge on the Savages and kidnaps Janey. Janey is young and has been abused most of her life. She still has difficulty believing that the Savages just want her happy. Janey quickly starts to fall for Kris, and if Kris is honest with himself, he is falling for Janey as well. It was fun to read the interactions between the two and wait for them to come to the inevitable conclusion that we, the readers, have already gone to. I loved this story, and I look forward to more books in this series.
I received an advance copy, and this is my honest review.
It’s amazing how fast a kidnapping can turn into a great romance. As an act of revenge, Kris kidnaps Janey but he got a lot more than he expected. The story is fast paced, full of action and danger, and very entertaining. It captured my attention and kept it to the end. The writing is excellent and very descriptive about the activities unfolding in front of me. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would highly recommend it as a great read. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and are voluntarily leaving a review.
Nice, a revenge story. I do so love a revenge story. I really liked Janey from the very beginning of this series. She was used and abused and rescued by the Savages. Unfortunately, in this book I found her lacking a little bit and thought she was a bit weak compared to her previous persona. What I did like was the she would say “no”. In my review of the previous book, I said I loved Kristian and I still did in this book. He is just WOW! He goes toe to toe with the Savages but still retains his compassion, especially for Janey.
Janey and Kris are an unlikely couple but they are so good together and while this is a different story about Caraksay it is as captivating as the others in the series. It is hot and exciting and at times violent and oh so good. The dialogue between Ethan and Kris is wonderful and when all the others agree with Janey it is so much fun and so right. This is a story you cannot put down once you start reading it and it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed this one. It was different than the other books in the series because it doesn't actually involve a memeber of the Savage family. It also doesn't take place on thier compound. It's the story of Kristian and Janey. It still has all the heat and delicious steam, and I do love the new characters that get introduced. It was a fast read that had all the emotional ups and downs, characters I cared about, and a hero that could be both the bad boy and a total sweetheart. I loved it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Savage Revenge is a sizzling, high-stakes romance that blends danger, desire, and emotional complexity in the best possible way. Ashe Barker delivers a dark, twisty tale of revenge turned obsession, where power games give way to passion and nothing—especially the heart—is safe.
