Storm was exactly that. He was a force of nature who took the hockey world by storm. It destroyed everything. >His connections gave Storm everything except his hockey career. He worked his fingers to the bone for that. Getting picked up by a pro team at seventeen and finding himself thousands of miles from the only person who loved him was terrifying. Three years later, Storm wonders if it wasn’t also the dumbest move he ever made. He’s not sure any of it was worth the cost because he lost Barrett.
Barrett doesn’t tolerate much. He doesn’t have to. As the son of a known mobster, he’s not tested often. His only soft spot is Storm, and the guy abandoned him for some stupid game. Barrett knows Storm is talented and deserves the life he leads. But Storm made his choice when he chose his career, knowing Barrett couldn’t follow. That hasn’t stopped Storm from tormenting him and refusing to let him go. Maybe there isn’t a fair answer. There doesn’t feel like a compromise exists. So why can’t Barrett walk away?
Pucking Mobbed is the tenth book in Charity Parkerson’s Thin Ice series. These books are steamy sports romances meant to heat up your day. This series is best enjoyed when read in order.
Charity Parkerson is an award winning and multi-published author with several companies. Born with no filter from her brain to her mouth, she decided to take this odd quirk and insert it in her characters.

I actually really liked this one! A little heavier than the rest of the series. I was intrigued by these two in the last book. Storm is a 19/20 year old hockey player who left his boyfriend to go play hockey. They have a hard time letting go of each other though and still see each other occasionally when Barrett comes to visit. Barrett is from a crime family and Storm was trying to make a hockey a way they could leave all that behind but Barrett hadn’t realized it then.
There is some perceived cheating but these guys have only ever been with each other. They were each other’s first and last everything and neither has touched anyone else. This does lead to suicide attempt so beware of that.
The only thing that caught me off guard was their age gap. It’s not a huge gap by any means it’s only 4 years. If they were older, 4 years doesn’t seem like much but their first kiss was when Storm was 15, making Barrett 19. They had been together ever since so that age gap when they are younger is a little weird for me.
Not looking forward to the next one though because Tavey is a self proclaimed manwhore who will sleep with anything and everything as many times as he can. His words, not mine! Ew!

‘No matter what we go through, I can’t give you up’ – A challenging romance
Multiple award-winning author Charity Parkerson extends her healthy plethora of books - romance stories for every inclination, LGBT, Bisexual, paranormal erotica – with her popular sports series, this one dealing with hockey, with PUCKING MOBBED.
Not only does Charity demonstrate a fine understanding about hockey as a sport, but she manages once again to create a romance that overcomes time and history and eventually blossoms. The opening lines suggest a challenging history: ‘He grew up with Barrett Cattaneo. In fact, Storm grew up with all the Cattaneo boys, but Barrett was the one closet to Storm in age…Back then, Storm hadn’t recognized how dangerous Barrett was…He made Storm feel a little funny. Storm hadn’t realized it was attraction he felt until around twelve. By then, Storm knew better than to say anything…’
Storm makes a decision to follow his dream of playing professional hockey, but in doing so he distances himself from Barrett, his love. Barrett is the son of a mobster, but he has not inherited that inclination. He misses the love of his life – Storm. The ‘coming together’ provides a steamy and satisfying romance, as Charity Parkerson can adroitly create! She paints her characters well and sets a terrific time line for a fascinating relationship development.
Pucking mobbed This is a dark one. Watch your triggers😢
Storm and Barrett are in an impossible situation and one wrong miscommunication after a dark spell in Storm's mind, he tips over and attempts taking his life. The comeback from that and the healing process and all the love and trust that needs to happen falls on Barrett. The love of his life and the cause of Storm's distress. A mafia prince and a star hockey player, together since they were young, each making life choices and setting the stepping stones toward being together forever. "I don't understand how two people can be so in love and still have to fight so hard."
A lot managed to happen in these 99 pages. and tears were shed. I loved them both for the fragility and strength they showed.
book was good but based on the trigger warnings in the beginning i was expecting a dark romance with a mafia man and a love interest with suicidal ideation as stated in the trigger warning. yet the mmc actually tried to commit suicide and poor barrett had to kick the door down to find storm in a puddle of his own blood. and then when it came to storms dads murder it wasnt on page UHHHGGGG i was waiting for that pile of shit to die on pageeeeee not just hearing abt it from the news. disappointed but very happy that barrett and storm got their happy ending im excited for hugo and tavey’s story!
For a story less than a hundred pages, it was rather intense; Storm tried to end his life after Barrett thought he was sleeping with other people, then Barrett finally moved in together, and the unexpected was Storm's father trying to kill him. Yeah, his father was full of shit and abusive, but I didn't expect him to kill his own son. Storm survived, and later his father was found dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head a few blocks from Storm's house.
Finally, Storm got his ending with Barrett as his husband and Barrett's family to call as his own.

Out of the entire series, this one broke me to pieces. The things these two went through with each other definitely made them stronger. I loved reading this and it has to be my favorite of the series so far. I can’t wait for what CP has in store for the next book.
THIS BOOK HAS INACCURATE TRIGGER WARNINGS! . . . . . . . It says suicide ideation which is true, but also suicide is attempted by an MC in this book. It was totally irresponsible not to include that.
S. This was sooo good. Her MCs always being su!c!dal crashouts scratches a book itch of mine. One if my favorites by her. That suicide attempt was tough
