I will have to go back and read books 1-7. I was sort of lost for some of the book where other characters were mentioned. I thought they were completely standalones. That was my bad. 4 stars for this book because I liked this retelling very much.

Just like the other books, this was a banger. It had suspend, romance and an interesting plot. What I really liked about this one (especially because it is the last book) is that it brought back the previous character. Everyone from the previous books came together in an epic way. The only problem for me is that I have read it over a course of 2 years or so which means that I have forgotten a lot. But still, I caught up quickly and enjoyed it so much. If i would have read all of it closer together I think it could have been a 5 stars but because i got lost sometime, it took me a little bit out of it. Overall a great read and I kind of want to read it from the start again now.

⭐️ 4 out of 5 stars

I am a sucker for reimagined fairytales so this was destined to be a high rank for me.

Prior to this book I had read all the previous installments and while it took me a second to remember all the characters and their backstories, as I haven’t read this series since last year, I quickly got sucked back into the universe.

This wasn’t my favorite installments in the series but nevertheless it had quick witted characters that were fun to read about and explore their own story within this complex world.

This book is excellent for anyone who loves fairytales and is looking for a fun new twist on the classic stories we know and love.

Omg I love this book. This is the very last of fairytale reimagined series. This is rapunzel retelling story everything she did had a reason in behind her thoughts and feelings and how things went as they did. Loved how she and Finn fell in love. I throughly enjoyed it from start to end. the ending was amazing. All of the twists and turns made sense. Loved the epic battle near the end. You have to read all of the books for any of them to make sense as most of the characters from all of the previous books are in this book as well. Glad I read this series it was really really good and would recommend it to anyone that loves twists on fairytales!!!!!

** 4.5 stars**
I know I've said it before but I'll say it again: so glad I did not DNF this series or this book. I'm not going to lie; I struggled with this one for two reasons: 1. I had already read 7 fairytale stories straight and needed a break. and 2. It was 541 pages compared to the other books which were around 250-300 pages. All that being said, the ending saved this book for me. The last 200 hundred or so pages is what bumped my rating up to 4.5.
This last installment of the Fairytales Reimagined series tells the story of Rapunzel and Finn. No, I did not type that wrong. In this story his name is Finn, not Flynn. Anyway...In this version Rapunzel is Ella's (Cinderella's) twin sister who was basically kidnapped by King Midas, Aurora's father. Through certain circumstances and a visit to the Dreamwold, an alternate realm, Rapunzel becomes like Rumplestiltskin, a person who has a very dark side. However, Rapunzel chooses not to give in to this dark side and is determined to put an end to the Dreamworld, with the help of Finn and almost every other character from the previous 7 books. I think that was my favorite part: the fact that they call came together in the end and you see the culmination of the stories. Overall I loved how all the stories were woven together.
Both main characters, Finn and Rapunzel, were likable, and I couldn't help rooting for their love story as well as them finally ending the Dreamworld. I liked that it wasn't love at first sight, and it grew as their adventures continued. I also liked Rapunzel's development as a character and how she came to understand that she didn't have to face everything alone and that having people in her life only made her stronger.
Great story and series with a great HEA!!!

This is the final book in the series and I was amazing. It is a series that you need to read in order because of the way it all intersects. I wasn’t sure how the series could possibly be concluded because it seemed like there was so much still happening, but it did wrap up well. Rapunzel is a strong female character, and not at all like the Disney version. Finn is a fun character, and definitely mimic Disney’s version. As for the storyline, it had twists and drops and circles so you were never entirely sure what was going to happen. Definitely a recommended read.

Very slow start and not as easy to jump into and stay engaged as her previous books in the series. Got better in the end I’m not a fan of how it switched from using their names to using pronouns randomly when the chapters had names like they were supposed to be povs. Finished it because I had liked her previous ones so much but hard to stay in it but the last half of the book was great! It was hard to put down like the other ones and I’m glad I stuck it out!

I am amazed at what the authors did in this retelling. You're in for lots of surprises in this story. It certainly is not what I could have imagined. I am sorry there will be no more. I have enjoyed them all. Now I want to return to the beginning and read them again. I received a review copy. This is my voluntary opinion.

The final part of the story. Rapunzel must take on Rumple but Finn won’t let her do it alone. They decide to become an alliance but is Finn falling for Rapunzel? Is she falling for him?

Will they be able to destroy Rumple and the dreamworld ?

I’m battle comes to fruition but will everyone survive? How?

This was a great ending to the fairytale retelling!

not bad

Took me a bit to get back into this series after waiting for this book to be released. But it fits right in to the story line. I really do enjoy the twists and turns in this series.

The ending of the epilogue seems out of place though

This book makes me glad I read them all in order. There is so much story overlap in this one from the others, and was definitely the longest. The first half was hard for me to get through. But it got better!

This was a lovely conclusion to the Fairy Tales Reimagined series.

I really like how they wrote in the plot of Tangled but managed to change things up so they made more sense with the plot and weren't flat out copying. It was also nice to see all the other characters from the previous books again, definitely made it feel like the finale it was.
I liked Rapunzel and Finn's relationship and how it became a friendship and then more, I also liked how Rapunzel was a bit against it at first because of things that had previously happened to her.
The epilogue was really satisfying and rapped up every single characters stories nicely.
However Rapunzel did annoy me a little bit at the very beginning but as the book continued I understand why she acted the way she did.
Another thing, nothing to do with the book itself, but I probably would have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous books more recently.

Overall it was a good book and a nice conclusion to the series.

The last five chapters were good. Otherwise really slow compared to the rest of the series. The entire series was a fun light hearted read.

This book took me through a loop. I gave it 4 stars because I felt it dragged on a little bit. I did like how it tied everything and all the characters together that was throughout the series.

Tower of Gold is the final instalment in the Fairy-Tale Reimagined series, and it delivers a heartfelt, emotional, and ultimately satisfying conclusion to Rapunzel’s story while beautifully weaving together threads from across the entire series. It manages to feel both intimate and epic at the same time—a difficult balance to achieve, but one that makes this finale truly memorable. One of my absolute favourite aspects of this book is the friendship between Aurora, Millie, and Rapunzel. Their bond, forged during their time in the Dream World, is incredibly touching and adds a strong emotional core to the story. The loyalty, trust, and shared experiences between them feel genuine and heartfelt, grounding the narrative even as the stakes grow larger and more complex. Their friendship is one of the elements that truly anchors the book and gives it so much warmth. A major highlight is seeing all the characters and couples come together once again, echoing the sense of unity established in the previous instalment. The alliances formed between the kingdoms feel grand and meaningful, and it’s deeply satisfying to see how each character’s individual journey contributes to the bigger picture. I especially loved how every character has their own kingdom and story, yet remains interconnected—supporting one another while striving to protect and strengthen their own realms. It creates a world that feels cohesive, expansive, and alive. Rapunzel herself is a standout heroine. She is strong, compassionate, and quietly resilient, and I loved how she isn’t afraid to speak up when it matters most—particularly when she defends Aria and acknowledges the sacrifices that made everything possible. Moments like this highlight her emotional intelligence and strength of character, making her incredibly easy to admire and root for. Finn’s storyline adds another layer of depth to the narrative. His relationship with his sisters is especially moving, and I loved seeing him bring Rapunzel into his world and introduce her to his family. The plotline involving his sister trapped within the Gold Tower adds tension and emotional weight, while also giving Rapunzel the opportunity to truly shine. Her bravery and quick thinking—especially when she breaks the bond with the Dream World using the dagger tied to gold magic—mark a pivotal moment in the story. Helping Finn’s sister find her courage and reconnect with reality was both powerful and deeply emotional, further cementing Rapunzel as a compassionate and capable heroine. The slow-burn romance between Rapunzel and Finn is another highlight. Their relationship develops naturally over time, built on trust, understanding, and shared experiences. There is a softness and sincerity to their connection that makes it feel genuine and heartfelt, adding warmth to the story without ever overshadowing the larger plot. There are so many memorable moments woven throughout the book. Rapunzel finally meeting Ella and seeing her niece for the first time was incredibly touching, and it added a beautiful sense of family and connection to the story. The destruction of the Dream World stands out as a major turning point—both dramatic and emotional. Not only does it save Millie, but it also gives Rapunzel a sense of closure, allowing her to move forward with strength and clarity. By the end, when Rumple names Rapunzel Queen of the Golden Kingdom, it feels entirely earned. It’s a rewarding culmination of her journey—one defined by courage, growth, and self-discovery—and it provides a fitting sense of resolution to her story. That said, while I found this to be a deeply engaging and emotional finale, it wasn’t quite my favourite instalment in the series. At times, the story can feel a little chaotic, with multiple plotlines and characters converging all at once. However, even in those moments, I remained fully invested. The emotional stakes, character arcs, and romantic development more than make up for any sense of overwhelm. Overall, Tower of Gold is a beautifully heartfelt and satisfying conclusion to a truly magical and interconnected series. The friendships, romances, and intertwining journeys of each character come together to create a story that feels both expansive and deeply personal. Rapunzel’s journey—filled with courage, love, and self-discovery—brings the series to a fitting and emotional close, leaving behind a world that feels rich, complete, and unforgettable.
